The Cookery’s Hanson Cottage is located behind The Cookery in downtown Fish Creek. This cottage is a perfect location for a couple on their Door County getaway. A block off the main street makes it a quiet location, but within walking distance of all that Fish Creek has to offer.
Remodeled in 2009, The Hanson cottage is an historic cottage with modern amenities. This cozy one bedroom unit features a queen size bed and a bathroom with a granite countertop and a tub/shower. The main living space has an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area. A deck with an eating area and gas grill, cable television, as well as heat and air conditioning are also featured in this cottage. We provide all linens, but ask that you bring your own towels.
Shops, restaurants, the Fish Creek beach, and Peninsula State Park are all within walking distance. Centrally located in the northern part of Door County, Fish Creek is the perfect place to be located for your Door County getaway.
The Cookery’s accommodations are available to rent May through October. Weekly rentals preferred, July through mid August. A two night minimum is requested May, June, late August, September and October.

About the owner: We are the Skare family - Dick, Carol, Courtney and Karin. Dick and Carol started The Cookery Restaurant in 1977. Courtney and Karin also work in their family run business. The Skare family loves to travel and also loves great food!

Dick and Carol have two vacation rentals on The Cookery's property - one suite and one cottage. They purchased this property in 1985 because of its great location in downtown Fish Creek.
