We are from Virginia and came to Alabama for 3 nights for my son's wedding. We did not know what to expect because I had never rented from Homeaway. I have to say it was the most wonderful place. Sitting out by the lake everyday was heavenly and the house was so spacious and wonderful. J&B Vacation Rentals did a great job in providing us the information we needed to rent the property and we would use them again in a heartbeat. I would highly recommend this property to anyone coming from out of town. I would love to stay here in the summer time for a week and really enjoy the lake. We spent a girls' weekend Oct. 26-28th. What a wonderful and relaxing place. Perfect spot on Lake Guntersville, super clean, and comfortable beds. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to relax by the lake!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We spent a wonderful week at the Sunrise Lake House. It was amazingly clean right down to the drawer and cabinet liners!! The kitchen certainly had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. The yard was well maintained and the almost level yard made it easy to walk down to the water. The deck, which runs the length of the house, had lots of comfortable seating and it was pleasant to sit and watch the lake any time of the day. It gets the morning sun, but there is a convenient sun shade to pull down. In the afternoon and early evening, the deck is all in shade. The description was very accurate and location on the lake very nice. There are some places on the lake with less than pleasant views so we've learned to be careful. But there are no obstructions, factories, etc. in this part of the lake. It's close to the town of Guntersville and grocery shopping. Views were peaceful and my husband enjoyed recuperating here. Jeff, who is the renting agent was here promptly to greet us and show us around. It's not the "key is under the doormat" you get at some places. He gave restaurant suggestions and made us feel at home. One of the owners came by when he saw us outside. He told us the history of the house and also made us welcome. Afterward, both the owner and Jeff gave us our privacy, but were only a phone call away in case of any problems. There weren't any, but it was good to know someone was standing by. I would highly recommend this property to a group or just two people looking to get away from the world. We come to the lake every year and would love to come back to the Sunrise Lake House.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
