Asbury Park house description
If you know Asbury you know the distinct enclave of deal lake court. White art deco townhouses built during the apex of asbury park glamour on the shore of deal lake 2 blocks from the beach. Sinatra and his band rented all 10 houses in the summer of 48. Everyone falls in love with the unique houses of deal lake court. A roof deck with incredible views lends itself to entertaining. Two car driveway, a 4 minute walk to the beach (I timed it), 7 minutes to the off lease dog beach (legal in AP before 9am/after 6pm). The house is fully restored to the deco era. Great water pressure and hot water. Private balcony with lake view off of master bedroom. The basement sleeps 4, and has an additional kitchen. Roof deck has a fridge, speakers and iPod port. House has a modern classic minimal decor with clean white walls, dark wood floors. In years past we usually rent it for the entire season.

Lovely Art Deco Townhouse
Lovely Art Deco Townhouse
We spent a quiet, relaxing summer in this lovely townhouse by the sea. Located at the north end of Asbury Park, the house is away from the noise and frenetic activity found at the south end of town. We especially loved the large open deck on the forth floor of the house. We ate most of our dinners on the deck and spent many hours relaxing and enjoying the view. The boardwalk was only 2 blocks away, so many days we took our chairs and umbrella to the beach for the day. The owner was always available to answer questions or deal with our concerns, which weren't very many. Asbury Park is a great summer destination. Not only is the beach and boardwalk wonderful, the town of Asbury Park has many restaurants, art galleries and antique shops to explore. Porta, on Kingsley, makes the best Margarita Pizza we've ever eaten. The Parlore Gallery, on Cookman, is always displaying interesting and edgy art by artists from around the country. The cinema, The Showroom, shows films of all types in three small theaters.

Why the Owner Chose Asbury Park:
Asbury is just cool, its a sophisticated town that has the right vibe. If you like things a bit cooler, hipper, more interesting - Asbury is the beach town for you. Door to door is an hour drive from lower Manhattan. My place is super unique..the history and the design of the place is beyond cool. Once you walk into the house, you know why this place is still around having been built in 1932, during the height of Asbury wealth and glamour. The place is so unique. I just love it, and hope to retire here one day.
