  My wife and I recently spent five wonderful days/nights at the Relative Paradise and loved everything about both the home and Edisto Island itself. Relative Paradise was clean and nicely appointed: everything we needed was there. Likewise, we appreciated its close proximity to the beach (but of course nothing on the island is that far). In addition, we found the owner to be both pleasant and professional. We hope to return next spring with our sons, daughter-in-laws, and granddaughters and the first place we will try to book will be Relative Paradise!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  My 5 cousins and I stayed in this house and found it perfect for us. It is very comfortable with lots of room. Only a short couple of blocks to the beach. Situated right on the bike path for easy walking and bike riding around the whole area. The kitchen is roomy and very well equipped. Easy bike ride or walk to the local fresh fish market. There are two nice deck/porches to enjoy the outdoors. Owner was very helpful and wanted to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I would recommend property to families and groups.

  The property had almost everything our family needed. Beach access is a short walk away. The description(s) and photos are accurate and you will be pleased with your choice; we certainly were. I would recommend traveling about 10 miles to get fresh shrimp from Flowers Seafood Co. (right by the main road) ... ymm, ymm good !

• Awesome family getaway

  My family of 5 came from VA and my parents and 3 nephews came up from FL to meet at Relative Paradise. We had a great time. The house has a great layout and plenty of space to "get away" if you need to. The kitchen is large and the dining table has plenty of seating. The TV choices from dishnetowrk are amazing and the house has wireless, which the kids loved.....and the adults too! Outside there is a covered porch, a sundeck and screened porch. While it was quite humid while we were there, spending time in the outside spaces would have been great if the weather had been a bit nicer. There is plenty of parking, a great outside shower which the kids used every day when we came back from the beach and plenty of clothes lines to hang up wet beach towels. The bike path is directly behind the house which is outstanding to walk either way to beach accesses or to ride bikes. We like beach accesses 32 and 33 better than 31, but all are close to the house, only about a block a way. We loved there is not a lot of commercialization at Edisto Beach....it was a time for relaxing and nature. We loved Botany Bay.....a must see! We did go to Charleston twice while we were there...once for business and once to see the aircraft carrier, submarine and destroyer in port there. We will definitely come back to Relative Paradise.....we felt like we were at our own home there. The owners are amazing and quick to answer emails and phone calls!
