This condo is wonderful, the location is just right for this walking style city. It is far enough from the night time activities that you can get a good nights rest, but close enough to everything to walk in less than 10 minutes. Very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed sitting on the back balcony for early morning coffee and late evening relaxing. My wife and I highly recomend !!

This was our first trip to Savannah and the location could not have been more perfect. The condo was very spacious and comfortable. Everything worth seeing is within easy walking distance. We loved all the lovely, shady squares and parks. I would definately recommend taking the very informative trolly tour. You can get on and off all day so you can easily explore the city. The drivers are full of info and stories which brings "Old Savannah" to life. We originally planned to have all our breakfasts and some other meals in the condo, but there were so many good restaurants that we only used the microwave to heat up some leftovers. We really enjoyed the breakfasts at "Goose Feathers" which is very close. My husband's favorive dinner was at "Moon River Brewing Co" which is a local microbrewery. I would definately recommend this property to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

This was our first trip to Savannah. I found the Bird-Baldwin house by searching on line for historic rentals. We love to stay right in the “heart of things” and this home is a perfect match. We stayed in the third floor condo and I can’t think of anything that wasn’t perfect about our 7 night stay. We noticed the first day the air conditioning was not cooling like it should. I sent a message to Stephanie as we were going out for the day and it was fixed before we got back. Wow! Who could ask for any better service than that? I sat on the porch every morning with coffee and wine in the evening. It was a treat to be able to see Pulaski Square right from the porch. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go and only used our car a few times. Having your own parking spot is fantastic. The condo is very well appointed, maintained and super clean. It is just so charming with all the historic details and very comfortable that I was dragging my feet the morning we had to leave!! There is so much to do in Savannah that I am sure we will return. I would stay in the Bird-Baldwin house again. The Triplett’s made sure our stay was perfect and that we were happy with everything from the first day we were there until the moment we were on our way home. If you love historic homes like we do, you will not be disappointed choosing this home as part of your Savannah experience.

I have read the reviews and it does not surprise me that they have all rated this rental as a five star unit. It is fabulous and I can enthusiastically support all the wonderful comments in the other responses. My husband and I had never been to Savannah but we had an opportunity to attend The Masters golf tournament and decided to see Savannah for a few days while we were in Georgia. I got on the VRBO site to check out what was available and was very interested in this particular site. I am so glad we had the opportunity to stay at Bird Baldwin and can't wait to come back. We live about an hour and a half west of Seattle and we are already looking forward to returning to Savannah and staying at Bird Baldwin. We have friends heading to Hilton Head and we have encouraged them to see Savannah and stay at Bird Baldwin.

We had a wonderful time in Savannah. This property was exactly what we needed. Had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We parked the car and never moved it all weekend. The property was in easy walking distance to everything. After a long day I really enjoyed the huge tub and comfy bed. The property was clean well maintained and looked exactly like the pictures. the kitchen is small however, with all the great resturants in Savannah who wants to cook? Stephanie was wonderful and helped with any questions we had. I would absolutlyLOVE to stay here again!!!
Owner response:Kerry, thank you for the great feedback and the 5 stars! You are right, the jacuzzi is huge but a real treat after walking all day. Parking can be a bit of a hassle in the Landmark Historic District so the off street parking is a big plus for many of our guests. Some of our guests plan on cooking meals while here but too many great restaurants often change their plans! Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you back in Savannah very soon.

We had a weekend event at the civic center across the street from the condo. The location was perfect for us. The accomodations were historic and charming, and the off street parking is a plus. The location is also excellent as we could walk down by the river, or through many of the nearby squares. We were very comfortable for our long weekend stay, and would be delighted to stay again. Thank you!

We found this condo to be in a wonderful location for the two of us. You can walk to Broughton St., the river, and the Forsyth Park area very easily. Old Savannah Tours (highly recommended) is just down the street. If you're a jogger, you can easily jog through 3 beautiful squares to Forsyth park and around the park (1 mile around). The information sheet provided to us with the key was very helpful as it explained the location of pharmacies, a grocery store, etc. The king bed is very comfortable and the clothes closet is more than adequate. The kitchen is small but it had everything we needed primarily because we ate virtually every meal out! If you were going to cook, the fridge might be a bit small (it's only a half size fridge so frozen food capacity is very minimal). Trekking your luggage up 3 flights of stairs is a bit difficult, but being on the top floor seemed worth it in terms of peace and quiet, although there didn't appear to be anyone else in the other units when we were there. Since you have to walk through the living room to get to the bathroom, the pull out couch only seems suitable for a young child/children, not an unrelated couple. Wifi worked great. Parking on the property is very convenient. We had a car and went to Tybee Island, climbed the lighthouse, and then ate at The Crab Shak (quite an experience). We also ate at 2 restaurants in Savannah that we can highly recommend: Noble Fare (almost right around the corner) and Circa 1875 Gastro Pub. If we're ever in Savannah again we'd stay here.

We loved our stay at the Bird-Balwin condo. My wife and I stayed here for the marathon and the jacuzzi was heaven sent . We fell in love with the city and would highly reccommend this condo. Everything was within walking distance. The only time we drove was to go to Tybee Island. Our only complaint is that there was noise from the street on fri and sat night. Nothing a set of earplugs or a few drinks won't take care of.
Owner response:First of all, thank you for coming to Savannah for the Rock & Roll Marathon and bringing 23,000 of your running friends with you! Quite a sight to see! Stephanie and I hope you ran well and will come back next year. The city was extremely busy which may have contributed to the noise level on the street. We also keep a box fan or two in the unit as some of our guests are "fan people" and sleep better with the white noise from a fan. Thanks for the positive feedback and we hope to see you back in Savannah soon!

We thought the apartment was beautiful, and the location was great for us. We were able to easily walk anywhere we wanted in the historic district without any great effort. Great building as well. We were there for Halloween, and our 6 year old was worried about missing it since we were traveling. We asked the owners, and they gave a us a great place for her to Trick or Treat. She loved it. I highly recommend this condo, and we would stay again for sure. Love Savannah.
Owner response:Glad to hear that your 6 year old was able to get to Trick or Treat! I jusy wish she had left some of her candy behind! :) We are also thrilled that you guys had a good visit here in Savannah and that you were pleased with the condo. I hope you have a chance to visit Savannah again in the near future.

The pictures do not do this place justice because it doesn't show the warmth you feel when you first enter the condo -- just like coming home! It has everything you need, including the two wine glasses we left (our contribution). The large jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.... heaven! Large bedroom, large living area, small but adequate kitchen. Very clean and well-maintained. Even the Internet access worked pretty well for us. The location couldn't be more perfect. My husband and I are walkers, and except for a short trip out to Whitemarsh Island, we never moved the car. We felt completely safe walking around, even after a Walking Ghost Tour which ended after 10pm. River Street, Lady & Sons, Mrs. Wilkes, SCAD, Forsythe Park.... all within walking distance. We did have a small glitch obtaining the key, but the owner rectified it immediately (nice meeting you, Whip). If you are considering a stay at this condo, do not hesitate -- you will not be disappointed! We will definitely stay here again.

Because of my great work schedule, my wife and I are able to travel for pleasure about 15-20 weeks per year. We love Savannah, and go there once or twice per year. We have always stayed in a hotel room or suite, but no more! We loved your condo and will stay again for sure! We walked to all the places in the historic district easily. When we returned to the condo each day, it was so relaxing. We had all the amenities to make our stay perfect. The pictures were exactly the way the condo looks, if anything, the condo was even nicer than I was expecting. Stephanie, your directions and recommendations were spot-on. Thank you so much for a stay that was far and above all the rest…. Mike and Karen

We highly recommended this place. It's in a good location and closed to pretty much everything. We walked everywhere and we later realized that this place is closed enough and we didn't need to buy hop-in hop off shuttle tickets. This is the place to stay. The coffee maker is small but it works. If you are a coffee drinker, you just have to make multiple pots which we did and we also walked to a coffee shop nearby. The information sheet that you gave was very helpful. Once thing though...while we were there, the internet was very slow to non-existence. We didn't really need it so it didn't bother us that much. Anyway, we will stay here again next time we are in Savannah.

The property is as described. This location is great for walkability of all area's of the city since within a few minutes you can be downtown, River St, all of the historic area, Forsythe park, and all the city squares. The condo is very spacious having large rooms. The kitchen is very small however you won't be using it much with all the great places to eat. (we recommend Crystal Beer Parlor, Bayou Cafe, The Distillery,Six Pence, and if you want to drive a short distance try Pearls Salt Water Grille in Skidaway which is on the water with great views). If you do plan on eating in, the kitchen does have the amenities you will need to prepare. Tip: if you want to have sufficient ice, bring along a small cooler and buy ice daily at the gas station on MLK (the fridge is a mini and the freezer section won't accommodate a bag however does have a couple of ice trays in it.....we use alot of ice). we would definitely recommend and would return to this location when returning to Savannah.

My husband and I stayed at this property for our honeymoon! It was absolutely one of the BEST things we did for our honeymoon. The pictures do this condo no justice. We both walked in dropped our bags and said WOW! We were in awe at the beauty of the condo and we could just feel the history surrounding it. The high ceilings, wonderful king sized bed, cozy living/dining space, and bathroom were more than we could have expected. We started our marriage off with my father in law falling the night before our wedding and breaking his neck (he is ok by the way). We were not sure we would make it to this fabulous place, but we did, and thankfully. The whole experience of staying in this condo, being part of history, melted all of our heartache away, and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We loved waking up in the morning and listening to the horses on the street and the life of Savannah surrounding us. More than all of the above, the location was great. The only time we even got in our car for the week we were there was to drive over to Tybee Island and twice when it was raining. The location was great, easy walking to everything. In the evening it was nice to sit outside with a glass of wine on the porch and relax. I can go on and on!! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for the Savannah experience. The Tripletts are the best! They have everything prepared for you to enjoy your stay and all I can say is Thank You! We WILL be staying here again in the future.

My husband and I went to Savannah for our anniversary...and my expectations were high even with all of the complaints about cleanliness and pots and pans...well let me put your mind at ease...if you are a pampered 5 star hotel person this is not the place for you...but if your like my husband and I and you want a place with beauty, character, and the perfect location, I highly recommend it. We not only made breakfasts there, but dinners as well. The place was clean...the bed was comfortable...the sheets were clean and there were extras incase we wanted them...there was EVERYTHING a traveler could need. Also the owners were extremely accessible, I texted them and they always got right back to me...I think the thing to remember here is your staying in a house that was built in 1838...and that they have done all kinds of remodels...to make it into vacation rentals. We enjoyed our stay very much to the point that we plan to go back for an extended weekend in the near future. I truly felt as though this were home for the week we spent in Savannah...and I look forward to going home again...
Owner response:Heidi, thank you for your kind comments about our condo and the Brid Baldwin House in general. It is hard for us to imagine sometimes that this great house is 173 years old and was built before the Civil War. While we are not a 5 star hotel (as you pointed out), we do want all of our guests to enjoy staying with us and visiting this wonderful city. Like you, we expect the unit to be clean and prepared for your stay when you arrive and we work very hard to make sure that is the case. We would love to have you back anytime and we do hope to see you very soon.

We stayed in Savannah for one week for our 10th Anniversary. Our jaws dropped when we turned the key and entered the condo. The pictures do not do it a bit of justice. We've had a pretty stress-filled past 2 years, and that stress started to melt away as soon as we slid onto the sofa. The location was absolutely perfect. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We were also a quick jaunt away from Mrs. Wilkes (best fried chicken EVER!). The jacuzzi tub was most welcome after the long days of walking. The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the smell of the Georgia pine throughout the place. The kitchen was well stocked with cookery. Gracious previous lodgers had left coffee filters and peanut butter. We did our part and left a container of grape drink. :) The only "issue" that we had, which was very minor, was that the wi-fi wasn't working when we first got there. I texted Stephanie that morning, and she immediately had somebody check on it while we were walking around town. After that we had an occasional drop in access, but nothing severe. I am wondering if the issue might be that since it is an unsecure wi-fi connection, that anybody outside of the house might be able to use up the bandwidth. A wi-fi connection password to be used just by guests might be the way to go, and is simple to do. My wife and I appreciated all of the documentation we received with the key pack (the Kroger shopper card was nice to have). There was an abundance of brochures, and no need to go the the Visitor's Center for them. We would highly, HIGHLY recommend this condo and these owners to anybody. It felt like home from the start, and we were very sad to have to leave. We loved every minute of our stay, and wish that it never had to end. PS. There was a very pretty morning dove that was nesting in the stairwell on the 2nd floor. I nicknamed her "Birdwin" in honor of the place where we stayed.
Owner response:First of all, congratulations on 10 years of marriage and thank you for choosing to celebrate at our condo here in Savannah. Stephanie and I are so happy that you guys had a great time here in Savannah. Your review is so detailed, I don't know that I can add much to it. I will say the WiFi issue is going to make me old before my time. Some guests have no problem at all and some guests seem to have experiences like yours with it. It was secured at one time but we were having some firewall issues. The signal is delivered through Comcast so I am still not sure why it acts the way it does. I will just have to keep trying to make it work perfectly for all guests! This is the third year we have had a dove on the ledge of the stairs and now we have a name for her! Thanks again and we hope to see you very soon here in Savannah. Safe travels from the Triplett family.

My Wife and I had a superb 5 days stay in this historic house. lots of space, a big living room and bedroom, nice kitchen and big bathroom. the bed sleeps wonderfull and the place is nice decorated in a grand style. the house is right in the middle of the historic district so you can leave your car in the privat parking lot and walk around. my wife and I traveled a lot and we can say this place is in the top of our best places we stayed list
Owner response:Thank you for taking a few moments to leave a review. This is our 70th review! My mother & I enjoyed a 5 day weekend in this wonderful condo! The condo itself couldn't have been nicer. We had everything we needed within the condo. The condo is in an excellent location for travelers who are without a car, but we very much appreciated the on-site parking. The owners were excellent hosts--even responding to an email and text message sent mid-visit. The only down-side would be if someone had difficulty with stairs--this beautiful condo is at the top of 2.5 outdoor open staircases that were pretty steep. We are fine with stairs, so it did not affect our stay. I hope to be back to Savannah, and if I return I will certainly stay here again. Thanks to our hosts for helping to make our mother/daughter getaway excellent!
Owner response:Thank you for your positive comments regarding our condo here in Savannah. As with most of the historic homes in Savannah, stairs are the only way to reach the top floor. If the back stairs are too narrow or steep, the front stairs might work better for you. But the upside is that you are on the top floor and there are no footstep noise from above! As for responding to your email and text, happy to do so. That is why we are here! We hope to see you and your mom again very soon!

We spent three nights here over Halloween weekend. Best nights sleep I ever had away from home! The unit is extremely spacious. Great location! You can see both Orleans and Pulaski Squares from the street. Didn't use the kitchen at all, as there were just too many great restaurants to try while we were there. If you stay in Unit 6, beware that you have 3 flights of narrow stairs to maneuver (my husband learned a valuable lesson on the consequences of overpacking!) if you have heavy bags to carry up! It was great to have the option of free parking at the Doubletree, which we took advantage of, during the times we needed to be close to Bay and River Streets in the evening. That was indeed a nice benefit! My only critique of our entire time there is the shower----you have no place other than the shower floor on which to place your soap and shampoos. I think a $10 investment in a shower caddy would be a great amenity for the guests to enjoy. The towels were plentiful. Comfortable furniture throughout. It was truly a enjoyable stay & the owners do a great job making it a wonderful environment in which to immerse yourselves in southern hospitality.
Owner response:Jane, thank you for your wonderful comments! Stephanie and I are thrilled you enjoyed your visit to Savannah and your stay at our condo. Also, thanks for the heads up on the shower caddy. We have already installed one in both units. Thanks again for staying with us and we hope to see you again here in Savannah.

We loved everything about our stay. The private off street parking, the expansive back porch for morning coffee and biscotti and wine in cheese in the evening before an easy stroll to dinner or the waterfront. The high ceilings, charming wood floors and comfortable furnishings made me instantly feel at home. The bathroom is updated and huge. The extra large jetted tub was used every evening...wonderful for soaking after lots of walking and kayaking on nearby Tybee Island. We used the kitchen for our light breakfast each morning and frequently stored leftovers from lunch in the fridge...and heated them up in the micro/convection oven for a light evening meal on the porch. Savannah is the most walkable city we have stayed in and we plan to return to visit and perhaps retire here. Tybee Island is a quick 20 minute drive and we enjoyed a kayak trip with John from Sea Kayaks of Georgia over to little Tybee Island. He recommended the Sundae Cafe for lunch and it was an awesome local place...great oysters! In the evening you need reservations and they break out the white table clothes but at lunch the food is the same and extremely reasonable. Don't miss the Telfair Museum...loved the huge painting of the Dark Prince of Wales...awesome! Soho Cafe is right across the street from the condo and reminded us of our WildFlower Cafe here in Roanoke. They close at 4. Awesome homemade soups, breads, salads, etc. We also enjoyed a carriage ride and loved the Trolley tour. Our trolley driver was very knowledgeable and funny as could be. Thanks to the owners of the condo for so graciously helping us retrieve a forgotten item. We will be back as soon as we have more time. Be warned you will not want to leave!
Owner response:Sounds like you guys got your money's worth during your visit to Savannah. I agree that the Telfair is a special treat. The Dark Prince is my favorite painting and the massive scale reguires you to stand back to get the full effect. My other favorite painting is in the Jepson. I do not know the name but it is of four house painters. Stephanie and I have done the kayaking trip to Little Tybee and while it was a lot of work it was also a blast! Soho Cafe is a local favorite and known for their Tomato Bisque. I hope you get to return to Savanah soon. Safe travels!

What serendipity to stay in a suite named for my distant relative, Robert E. Lee. A charming condo and convenient location. We were able to walk everywhere in about twenty minutes. This condo is on the third floor and is a walkup so be ready for a climb. The stairs are not steep but they are narrow. The porches are great for afternoon sitting with a great view of Pulaski square. The house is historic so the windows are still single pane and you can hear anything on the street level but the district gets very quiet after 9:00 P.M so sleeping is no problem. I was disappointed that the kitchen had no skillet or spatula only sauce pans and they were so very inferior quality that even on low I wasn't able to cook anything without scorching the food. So I was unable to cook at all and that takes the value down for me one star. I also wonder if the owners ever visit the property and CHECK the cleaning. It was very dusty on the walls, the windows, and all the light fixtures. And I don't mean dust from one week to the next. Dust bunnies on the window sashes. Also the ceilings could use some attention. The owners (Stephanie) were very easy to work with and they leave some great suggestions in the packet for you also you get to use the Kroger card on the key ring that was very helpful. Kroger is only five minutes by car- go by car - they have frontdoor secuity and a dedicated parking lot. We liked the condo and would recommend it. I also recommend the Six Pence Pub, about two blocks east and half north and Taste of India Express, go here first they have the best free map and the food is super tasty. The historic district closes up at around five so eat early, and it's dark because of all the trees. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. Take the cheapest tour they all go to the same places with the same information. Go to Mercer House only if you read the book. Enjoy your stay.
Owner response:We are both sorry to hear that there were aspects of your stay that were not up to your standards. Sounds like somebody may have made off with our skillet and spatula! I will make sure that we get those replaced as soon as possible with something with a little higher quality. Your comments about the dust bunnies are specifically concerning! We are in the units on a regular basis, like twice or three times each week, and I have not seen dust to the level you note. However, I have already spoken to our cleaning company about your concerns and they have promised to refocus on the detail areas. Thanks for taking the time to let us know of your concerns and I hope we have a chance to have you stay with us on any future visits to Savannah. Best of luck on all your future travels.

We loved this condo and after 6 days there we were ready to relocate to Savannah and move-in! We came for a family wedding and made a little vacation out of it, and loved the location of the condo...it was central to everything, walking distance to all you want to see and do, and Stephanie's recommendations were perfect. Bed was comfortable, place was cozy yet spacious, and it was nicely-appointed. We will be back, and will also refer this lovely condo to all our family and friends.

My two sisters and I stayed in this condo and we were able to walk to the sights, entertainment, and dining. We were also able to walk a few blocks to pick up the trolley. This listing is acurately described and looks just like the pictures that are posted. The unit was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our stay was during one of the hottest times in the city this past summer and fortunately in addition to the AC, there were 2 box fans in the unit that helped to cool us down quickly when we came back after being out in the HOT sun all day. I will definitely tell other people to stay here; I'll also keep it in mind for the future. Stephanie was very nice to work with from start to finish. This is a great value for the price.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay and absolutely loved the place. The unit is bright, very well equipped, spacious and tastefully decorated. The very best thing about this place is its location! We never once used the car as we could walk to everything including the waterfront! The local trolley stops are very close as well. The price makes it truly an affordable vacation place.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful condo! This was my first time in Savannah since I was in elementary school and my husband's first time ever! The condo was just like the description and then some! Everything was beautifully maintained and we felt right at home. How cool to be able to stay somewhere with so much history in a city with so much history! The location could not be any better! We parked our car when we arrived and didn't move it until we left! We have already started recommending your listing to our friends! We hope to be back! Thank you!

My husband and I recently stayed in condo #2 and were definitely impressed. The condo was spacious and well appointed inside and extremely well equipped. The location was marvelous. We could walk everywhere and, if we didn't want to walk, the DOT transport stopped a block and a half away. We both loved Savannah and, if this condo is still available, would happily come back again.

We were soooooo comfortable in the condo. There was plenty of room for us and our 3 children, and it had (almost) everything we needed .... I have no idea how to use a convection oven so I didn't even try! Once we parked the car, we didn't move it until we left. It was a nice walk to everywhere we wanted to go, both day and night! It was "really cool" to live in a piece of Savannah's history for a few days. That truly set the tone for learning all about the history of Savannah! Thank you so very much! We will definitely tell our friends about the Bird-Baldwin House.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and wanted to stay someplace special. This condo fit the bill, and exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we knew that great care and effort went into the restoration and decoration. Everything was done in a first class fashion unlike some rentals decorated with "renters" in mind. This one was done to feel like home, and made us feel like we were in a five star hotel! Also, the Tripletts have everything well organized and are easy to deal with. We could not have made a better choice!

Stephanie, Wanted to pass along our thanks for letting us rent unit #5. The Bird Baldwin House is the perfect place to stay your 1st trip to Savannah (or anytime for that matter). We have fallen in love with Savannah, there are just no words to describe how we feel about the city, it was quite frankly "love at first sight!"! The BB House is perfectly located and within walking distance to virtually everything. The unit itself is full of character and charm and really gives you a feeling of the way things might have been back in the day. I loved opening the shutters in the a.m. and watching everyone make their way out into the city, my husband enjoyed the back porch in the afternoons watching the same folks making their way back home again. The bed is very comfortable and the Jacuzzi tub is as advertised. We can totally understand why your family moved to Savannah! A few days is simply not long enough. Many thanks, we are already planning a return trip! Deborah, Mike and Alex Jones

This was a great place to stay. I was completely unprepared for how awesome the place was. The pictures really do not do justice to the place. Plus, you are in walking distance to anything you could possible want to do in Savannah. The price was much better than many other places. I have already recommended this place to all my friends - I can't wait to come back!

March 2009 - My daughters and I spent an enjoyable, relaxing weekend in Savannah using the condo as our base. We were able to easily walk to all attractions in the Historic District, including River Street. We have visited Savannah several times and stayed in hotels until this trip. We won't stay in a hotel again....the condo was everything it was advertised to be and more.

This condo was a wonderful experience. We loved the location, the decor, spacious and comfortable rooms, the historic space. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Liberty Street carries traffic noise but it was not a bother to us. This place and location is full of charm and character. We will be back.

Thanksgiving weekend 2008. We could not have been more pleased with the condo. It was in a perfect location - central to everything. About half way between River St and Forsyth park. We walked everywhere we went. The unit is well maintained and had everything we could need. We are so glad that we rented the condo versus staying in a hotel room. It was great to have so much space and a kithen we could cook meals in. We ate dinner one night at The Olde Pink house and it was fabulous. We need more time next time. Thanks for everything and always being so prompt in corresponding with us.

11/18/08 After recently enjoying the sights and sounds of Savannah, the best site was the #6 condo at the 1838 Townhouse. The location is well within walking distance to a long list of historical parks, shopping areas, museums to visit or restaurants to dine at to enjoy a delicious meal. The #6 condo (blue bedroom) is adequately furnished to rest and rejuvenate after walking to River Street, City Market, Forsyth Park or Paula Deen's. For me, the location and character of the 1838 Townhouse was a huge selling point as to why I would recommend future visitors to Savannah consider utilizing this VRBO rental.

Three of us recently stayed in unit 5 and were very pleased. The unit is beautifully furnished with very large rooms. The property is within walking distance of all the must-see sights in Savannah. The owners, Whip and Stephanie couldn't have been nicer and truly went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

My husband and me celebrated our 21 wedding anniversary and we loved this condo. It was a great home away from home and as the other guests have stated the pictures do the place not as much justice as in person. The old historic feel to it was wonderful. We could not stop talking about the beautiful hard wood floors. Great place to stay.

We've stayed here for 4 days in august. The location is superb. We really liked to stroll the streets after diner and loved the beautiful houses and trees with the Spanish moss. Everything you need for your stay is in the apartment and the grocer is also nearby. It was quiet and safe and our 6 year old daughter had enough space to play. We've enjoyed the porch a lot. The only thing that was missing was a bigger table (for breakfast or dinner outside) and an extra chair. We didn't want to leave!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Robert E. Lee Suite at the Bird-Baldwin house. The condo was very tastefully furnished, and the jacuzzi tub was an unexpected surprise. It was evident that Stephanie and Trip had carefully considered the needs and comfort of their guests. The convenient location of the condo allows for comfortable walks to both the Riverfront and Forsyth Park.

We stayed here for a few nights in June, and although the sultry, deep south summers are all that's advertised, this condo was exceptional! Lovely old place with lots of character and close to the historic district and tour trolleys. We would highly recommend this place!

Our recent stay in Savannah, at the Bird Baldwin House, was everything that was advertised. The condo is very comfortable with tasteful furnishings and a wonderful atmosphere. The walk to River Street, the marketplace, etc., would be a bit of a stretch if you aren't used to it but for those of us who enjoy walking, it was great to wander thru the lovely squares and see the wonderful old homes or slip into any of the great art galleries, shops and unusual stores along the way to River Street. Stephanie and Whip are quick to respond to any problem you may have, too. All in all...great!!!
