PROPERTY FEATURES & AMENITIES:
Living room with wood-burning fireplace, 18-foot ceilings and a
wall of glass affording spectacular sunrise-to-sunset views of the Pacific. On a clear day you can see Catalina to the south, Point Mugu to the north, and a Channel Island or two.
Bring your binoculars for dolphin, pelicans, seals, whale, and shipping lane watching.
Second-floor loft bedroom with the same amazing views, a flat
screen HD TV and built-in clothes storage space.
First-floor den with flat screen HD TV and convertible sofa which
sleeps two people on a comfortable queen mattress.
Bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and gorgeous custom
tile work. An additional outdoor shower with hot water,
perfect for surfers.
Cook’s kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Private deck with
table seating and barbeque. Access to the owner’s flourishing
herb garden.

A two-minute walk to a favorite local bar and restaurant

Note that the pictures and Video were taken before we put the teak furniture on the deck. We have a teak table, 2 teak chairs, 1 teak lounger, 1 teak low chair, and a built in bench.

Beach: We are on a wet beach, which means that at high tide there is usually no beach in front of the house. The tides change about every 6 hours (high to low) and the times change about 30-60 minutes everyday. Even in high tide, you can usually find some sand a few houses up the beach or a short stroll to County Line Beach next door. Almost always during low tide , there is beach/sand in front of the house.

We can't stop thinking about this incredible house right on the most amazing, secluded beach. We celebrated my 40th bday there and never wanted to leave. Highlights were the dolphins and seals playing in the water right by the house, the exclusivity of the beach and the beautiful, modern design of the house (for a smaller space it has everything you could ever need). The owners were very helpful and discreet when staying in their cabin out front. We would strongly recommend this place (though I don't want to tell too many people for fear of not being to book it when we want it!) and can't wait to come back.Owner response: Thanks for at least deciding to share your thoughts on our place with only the few who will actually read the reviews. My husband and I recently rented the A Frame for our anniversary getaway. We just left yesterday and I'm already trying to figure out the next time we can come back. The location is breathtaking and the house itself is modern yet cozy as can be. We left the windows open at night and fell asleep to the waves crashing just outside your door. Even our dog was relaxed as he would lay outon the deck every day and soak up the sun. My husband and I also like to surf so you can imagine how convenient it was for us to be able to walk there (less than a quarter of a mile from the house). My husband said his favorite part was having the ability to sit up in bed and look out the window to see if the surf was worth waking up for - if not, you just lie back down and sleep for another hour. :) I can't say enough great things about what they've done with this place. Can't wait for summer - we'll be back for sure! If you're looking for a beach house, this is an absolute gem and you should look no further.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This place is amazing! The design, the decor -- everything is beautifully done and set up. Feels like a luxury hotel. The pictures are completely accurate, yet at the same time they didn't prepare me for how stunning it was. Even when you're inside you can always see the ocean, so you feel like you're outside. I came here to get some peace and quiet and write, and it wound up being a beautiful, uncluttered space to get away from it all.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Fantastic location on a quiet beach with a great view. Loved to sit out on the deck with coffee and look for dolphins (which we saw daily, and would even recommend bringing a pair of binoculars to get a better look). Perfect setting for a relaxing visit to Malibu. Could not have asked for better amenities or a better location- I would highly recommend this rental and would love to visit again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

I rented this house with my girlfriend in late February of this year for a getaway weekend. If you're a review skimmer, here's the short version: We loved staying in this house. By now, you've probably read about all of the great stuff in the house. It's all there as promised and it's all awesome. There are a few things I want to call out specifically. First, the kitchen is fantastic. It's incredibly well appointed and well designed. I love kitchens where everything you need to whip up a meal is right there within reach while you're standing there cooking. It takes an extra level of consideration to create such an easy-to-use space. Second, we loved the view of the water, particularly from the loft. It was fun to see all manner of birds and marine life hanging out just off shore. I particularly enjoyed sitting at the top of the spiral staircase, sipping coffee and looking out at the water while my girlfriend made breakfast. Third, the bed in the loft is super comfortable. This is a highly subjective point, so I won't harp on it anymore, but yeah, super comfortable bed. Fourth, the fireplace is a fantastic. If you're coming from Santa Monica, stop at the Pavillions in Point Dume and buy a couple boxes of Hot Wood. We loved having a fire going at night. We had a fantastic time at this house. Our initial plan for the weekend was to use the house as a home base for other activities, some paddle boarding, maybe some hiking, perhaps drive down to the Malibu pier. But after we got to the house, we decided to settle in and have a chill weekend at the house. It kind of snuck in and stole the weekend. And I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: I think it is a combination of the beach and this house that makes you just relax when you are there. I actually feel my muscles loosening up after I have been there for a couple hours. I can sit on the deck and just watch as you did, the waves, the surfers, the pelicans(those are my favorite) flying in formation, and feel like I am on an almost deserted island somewhere far away. Our stay at the beach house was perfect-- romantic, wonderful ocean views, with all the amenities one would need. Mornings watching the dolphins and seals, and nights listening to the surf. Our host was great to work with-- prompt responses on availability, directions, things to do as well as checking on us during our stay. Our deposit was returned within days which is very much appreciated. All in all a fantastic getaway-- highly recommended!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon, and it was, we decided, the nicest place we've ever stayed in. The location can't be beat, and the design of this classic A-frame clearly involved some people who knew what they were doing. Views of the ocean, comfortable living space, and even a fireplace to boot, whatever we needed we found here. Plus it really did feel like we were on our own private stretch of Malibu. We've definitely recommended it to other people already, and have it on our list permanently for when we make our way out here in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
