THE PRIVATE Dipping POOL:
House features an elevated fiberglass pool. We have the only Private, heated Pools on the Gulf beaches of Dauphin Island. Houses Book Quickly. Pools Are Pre-Set @ 90 Degrees oct thru mid May. (PLEASE NOTE THAT CONDITIONS MAY CAUSE POOL & SPA TO BE HOTTER OR COLDER THAN SETTINGS) We cannot guarantee performance & function of the pool and spa, & no discounts will be given due to any issues.
POOL SIZE IS 8'X15'(4 feet deep).(holds 10-12 People)

3 SISTER HOUSES:

"STRAND CASTLE", THE GREEN HOUSE on Strand CT is gulf-front. There is presently no house between it & the water. That could change eventually, should someone decide to build on the lot between us and the water, but even then, it would retain a partial Gulf view and is only a few hundred feet from the Gulf waters.

"KOWABUNGA", THE PEACH HOUSE on Shell Court, is 2nd tier, directly on the beach w/no streets to cross, and direct Gulf views (see photos).
The house is angled towards the Gulf for direct views and direct vacant beach area for your enjoyment. The house that is positioned technically in front of it is not that visible as our house is angled away from it.

"SURF'S UP", THE RASBERRY HOUSE on Bienville BLVD, is directly across the street from the Gulf w/great Gulf & Sound views. Beach walk-over access is close-by, and you have deeded access to all Gulf beach areas, not just by walk-over.

HOUSE FEATURES:
WIFI ! Game Room on 2nd floor, sleeper sofa, leading out to Gulf-view balcony & up to the private roof-top deck w/lounge chairs (deck railing is solid 36" high for totally private sunning) and panoramic views of the Island.

Strand and Shell gameroom has LCD TV,bar table, mini-fridge, billiards/Air hockey combo and foose-ball.

ISLAND INFORMATION:
Dauphin Island is very laid back & non-commercialized, but has shops, a grocery store, bakery,& several restaurants ranging from pizza, ice cream and burgers, to great seafood and steaks. ISLAND IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY BRIDGE. Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan is only a few miles away & is accessible by auto ferry (makes a great day trip).

For attractions, visit the Sea Lab, historic Fort Gaines, play a round of golf at the Isle Dauphine gulf-front course, view birds and wildlife & explore secluded beaches at the Audubon Sanctuary, fish on the beach or at the long gulf-front fishing pier, charter a boat for sightseeing or deep-sea fishing, swim, bike, walk, collect shells, or JUST PLAIN RELAX!

  • I would HIGHLY recommend staying at Kowabunga. My husband and I stayed for 8 nights in Sept. 07 and have now made this our favorite vacation spot. It's pure paradise and I can promise you will not have a more relaxing, beautiful vacation anywhere. This house is absolutely perfect and an A+ choice for the couple or the large family. Plenty of room. So to Kier and Carrie, thank you for sharing this little piece of Heaven w/ us. We'll definately be back!! =) A+++++++++++ Definately 5 star accomodations!!

  • Carrie, You have a BEAUTIFUL house (Kowabunga). My wife and I took our 2 small pooches for the week after Labor Day 2007 and absolutely loved it. The views and sounds from the 1st level deck are breathtaking. We found ourselves parked right there for most of the week. You have spared no expense in your ammeneties and furnishings to make us feel like royalty. The beach at this location was great and while we were there, were able to watch dolfins, pelicans, crabs, and lots of seagulls. We saw much more wildlife than people. We were a little concerned about the distance of drive (because of our dogs), but they did OK and it didn't take long to know it was well worth the drive time. Thanks again for a great week and hope to visit you guys again soon!

  • We were the very first vistors to occupy the Shell. It was the most wonderful experience for all of us. The view from the roof is spectacular. Sunsets to be seen from each deck. Very peaceful and serene time. No hustle and bustle of the big beaches. Perfect...We hope to visit again soon.

  • Yes, this place is wonderful! We stayed before Katrina, and have hoped and prayed this beautiful home escaped without any damage. Our vacation included 2 older teenagers, and 4 boys age 14, along with me and my husband. There was plenty of room for everyone, lots of entertainment, and the furnishings were brand new and luxurious. Everyone loved our short time on the island, with hopes to return.

  • This place was Wonderful! We took a wide range of ages and everyone had fun. We had a small Dashund with us and the home was so large he never was unhappy! Our two teenagers had a great time hanging out at the coffee shop and the public beach. My mother enjoyed the fresh seafood shops and my husband and I toured the island and fished. We loved the fishing because the beach is private and you can fish right off of it without other people interupting you. When people do walk by they are very polite! This place is heaven and we will be back. No strips to drive in or franchise eating, great local atmosphere and wonderful food!
