Welcome to Casa de la Playa, a rambling Spanish Mediterranean villa with bungalow on the the famous white sand beach of Playa Flamingo! Enjoy tropical beachfront living, including an ocean view infinity pool, a huge outdoor entertainment terrace and a restaurant-grade kitchen that includes your own private cook for breakfast & lunch and daily maid service.
Casa de la Playa is perfect for large groups -- this private vacation home sleeps up to 14 in the Main House and 4 in the bungalow, with plenty of room to spare. Truly a beachside oasis perfect for friends and family!
Casa de la Playa (the Beach House) is one of the first homes ever constructed in the Flamingo area and takes full advantage of its location. It is the only villa that sits right above the sand, with a short staircase that leads directly to the shore.
Remodeled in 2012 to incorporate modern conveniences without compromising its original charm. A covered portico frames the large ocean front terrace, allowing cool breezes to circulate around the villa. Extensive use of native wood throughout lends warmth to the whole and imparts a nautical ambiance in keeping with the home's coastal setting.
The fully air-conditioned main villa has 6 bedrooms and 4 baths. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 baths on the lower level with the living room, dining room and kitchen, which all lead to the covered outdoor walkway that frames the large beachfront terrace with great seating and a large umbrella.
Upstairs, surrounded by a covered wrap-around balcony, is a Master Suite with a king bed and attached private bath. A TV room with a built-in sectional sofa that can accommodate up to 3 children. Both have views of the sea through floor-to-ceiling glass windows and like the bedrooms, the Media room has black-out curtains for better enjoyment of the digital HD Satellite TV and DVD Blu-Ray.
The ocean view infinity pool and entertainment area are nestled between the main home and a separate ocean view casita with air-conditioning, a King bed, a separate sitting room with pull out queen sofa bed and private bath.

What a beautiful place! We (4 couples) had a perfect vacation at your house! We enjoyed everything about the Casa including the friendly and helpful staff. Rolondo had coffee made every morning of every beautiful day. We loved the pool and the outdoor living space which was where we spent most of our time. We spent time reading by the pool, walking the beach or just enjoying the warm weather and sunshine. We had plans to visit a volcano, coffee plantation etc, but frankly we enjoyed the house, pool, and beach so much we ended up staying at the house just hanging out. It could not have been a more relaxing vacation. I would love to go back someday.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

In looking for a vacation rental the number 1 priority for each of us was ocean front location. Casa de la Playa fits that perfectly. With 20 steps to the beach we were separated from other beach travelers yet had easy access. Everyday there were morning walks, multiple trips to swim, body surfing and kayaking in the ocean. The pool was used constantly, there was plenty of room to be in the sun or be shaded, our group of 14 had plenty of room. House staff were friendly, efficiant and made delicious breakfast and lunch for us. The house was clean, supplied well and fit our needs perfectly. One day Rolando and some other men trimmed the palm trees, entertainment for us and really hard work for them. Rolando cut up coconuts and offered us coconut water. Since are group was there for a celebration Claudia arranged a Spa day at the house for us. We were pampered all day by the sounds of the breaking surf, life can't get much better. We took multiple trips to Tamarindo for shopping and groceries at the market. We also went on a sunset snorkle trip, but the ocean was really rough that day, those that did snorkle didn't see much. There were plenty of snacks and beverages to keep us occupied. We enjoyed the house and ocean so much we were content to stay there for most of the week. I would go back to Casa de la Playa tomorrow and highly recommend this property to groups for an ocean front vacation. Thanks to the house management and staff for a wonderful trip. 1 of 14Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

A fantastic large, well decorated home just steps down to the beautiful Pacific Ocean perfect for swimming, kayaking and surfing. The views from the home are stunning and we practically lived in the infinity pool! The staff are friendly, professional and very helpful. The restaurants and shops are just a 5 minute walk down the beach. Most restaurants do offer pick up service should you desire. Have been to Casa de la Playa many times and the recent upgrades, especially the first class kitchen are superb. I can't wait to return with my friends as the house is perfect for a large crowd or family. I highly recommend staying here for the most relaxing, peaceful time you will ever have!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I stayed at this AMAZING home over the summer and the experience was unmatched. First, the house is located on a private white-sand beach giving guests the opportunity to surf, swim or snorkel literally RIGHT in front of the house. Also, the home includes a huge saltwater infinity pool that looks over the ocean. There is a large patio and lounge area allowing guest to hang out by the pool, in a hammock under the deck, or even eat breakfast and dinner with a view of the cliffs and beach. The house is very up-to-date with a wonderful kitchen. This is the perfect house to go with a group of friends or a few families. The private beach is picture perfect and great for children or adults wanting to take advantage of snorkeling or try out surfing for the first time. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Wonderful experience at Casa de La Playa The place was beautiful and you won't find a more picturesque view of Flamingo Bay as you relax on the veranda. The "infinity " swimming pool at the Casa is spectacular and the bay has no undertow, provides great snorkeling and watching the waves break onto that beautiful beach was a favorite! I have been going to vacation in Costa Rice starting back in 2000 and have stayed in various hotels all over the country. Never again! On my last visit to Costa Rica myself and girlfriend rented this beautiful house ("La Casa De La Playa") for a week with 4 other couples (10 people total). With 7 bedrooms the accomadations were perfect and we even had room to spare for our large group! The house is situated right on Flamingo Beach and has direct beach access with an incredible infinity pool that overlooks the entire bay. Great area for snorkeling right in front of the house too! Flamingo Bay is a great place to stay for folks looking to relax as well as be in a good location to experience all of Costa Rica's sites and activities. This is truly a beatiful house and would be great for large familes too! I hope to be back soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
