Cumberland head is a quiet location for a cottage vacation on the New York shoreline of Lake Champlain - and you don't have to cross a busy road to reach the waterfront. A five-step staircase gets you to the water's edge. A beautiful view of the Vermont mountains greets you every morning. You can sleep and dine to the lapping waves in the front room, and watch flocks of baby loons and mergansers swim along the shoreline. This property is available late June through October.
The waterfront gradually deepens to accommodate your swimming ability. This is a safe area for long distance swimming. The cottage provides comfortable lounging time for reading and writing or rowboating. There is no TV.
The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Mr. Coffee, fully stocked dinnerware, glasses, pots, and pans. The living room has beautiful knotty pine walls, cathedral ceiling with a sofa and plenty of chairs. There is a dining table in the front lakeview room and in the living room. The front lake-view room with cathedral ceiling, also has a queen-size bed. The back bedroom has a day bed that becomes twin beds or pushed together they become one king. An extra air mattress is available. There is a 1/2 bath off the back bedroom. There is a small full bath off the kitchen. |
