  We had such a wonderful time on our vacation. Our weather was perfect and the house was everything we could ask for. Very spacious with quality furnishings and very well kept. My husband, six children, my mother and myself all enjoyed every minute of our stay! You can't get more beachfront than this and that was great for my mother to be able to sit on the many spacious decks and watch the children as they played in the ocean. We were also able to watch dolphins as they swam by and a short walk to the pier was also a very nice! Thank you so much for offering your beautiful home as a wonderful vacation spot! We would love to come back next year!

  Where do I begin to describe the beauty and practicality of this wonderful beach house? From the georgeous design and great room furnishings, to the spacious dining room and fully-stocked kitchen, to the comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, and the most convenient elevator that made moving our stuff in and out of the house so easy, the "Hatteras Beach House" has it all. Our group consisted of me and my bride plus three other couples (including one couple from Japan) who are all over 55, and the 24 year old daughter of one of the couples. Our two sons and another young lady (ages ranged from 22 - 24) stayed with us over the weekend. Everyone raved about the amazing amenities, spacious rooms and fantactic views, so there was no generation gap in our appraisal and appreciation of the house. We so loved the house that we treated it like their own during our stay. We swept and vacuum cleaned the floors, cleaned and wiped the counters, and generally keeping the place clean and neat as we do our own homes. The women especially enjoyed the conveniences of the kitchen, including the two dishwashers and sinks that were used extensively. We were able to prepare all of our meals with no problems as there were more than enough utensils, pots, pans, and everything else needed to prepare a fine meal. We brought a lot of wine, so we put the wine refridgerator on the 1st floor to good use. The men chipped in when we decided to use the gas grill on the 3rd level deck to cook the marinated flank steak I had prepared, the fresh bluefish that was caught earlier in the day, and hot dogs and brats we had near the end of our stay. What a wonderful experience to cook on the grill while enjoying the beautiful view of the beach on both sides of the house and the ocean and waves that broke on the beach!!! We had everything we needed to make whatever we chose to eat for every meal. We really enjoyed just relaxing, chatting, and playing "Jokers & Pegs" on the 3rd level most of the time, and wandering onto the deck from time to time to take in the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean and beach just below the decks. We spotted dolphins feeding, watched as the birds searched for and dove to catch their meals; watched paraglide surfers skim across the water and over the waves on a windy day, and surfers catching waves on the next day; and saw some surf fishers reel in several bluefish when conditions were just right. We could not have done any of this had we stayed anywhere else.

  We have been visiting The Outer Banks for over 10 years now. This is the first time we have rented this home. We absolutely loved it!! I have to say, this is the best house we have rented in the outer banks. It had everything we wanted in a beach house. First, the view was absolutely stunning!! You could'nt ask for a better view. The sounds of the ocean were so relaxing. I loved just sitting on the deck with my coffee in the morning and when I could get up early enough, watching the amazing sunrises. They were breathtaking. We had another couple with us, her daughter and son in law, their 2 children, my daughter and her two friends and we had plenty of space. The nursery was a great idea, as we had a 1 year old with us. You don't see that in many beach homes. Everything was set up so adorable in there! The kitchen was very nice! It had plenty of everything! I loved that there were two dishwashers. That came in handy. Plenty of pots and pans for a big family. Everything we needed was right there. The bedrooms were awesome too. The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. Most importantly, each bedroom had its own bathroom. With a large family staying, that makes a big difference. Also , I loved that every bedroom had its own access to the deck, with a ocean view. Very hard to find in other homes. The theater room was fun and we really enjoyed the pool table and bar area. The Ocean is just steps from this house. We had great weather and got to enjoy the beach as well. If you like fishing, my husband and his friends caught a lot of fish right in front of the house. I normally don't fish in salt water but tried when I saw how much fun they were having and caught 2 fish myself. I was so excited!! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners of this home while we were visiting the outer banks last April. That is how we found out about this house and I am very fortunate we met them. Very Nice couple. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. I would highly recommend this home. We have been looking for the perfect house to rent for 10 years and I do believe we have found it. We will definitely coming back to the Hatteras House !!

Large bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, movie night and a game of pool to relax and surf fishing in front of the house with great weather, always a plus for all to enjoy their vacation, thanks for the pictures. Serene quiet with morning coffee and a panoramic view of the horizon is a great way to start the day. The nursery is the perfect place for the baby to enjoy sweet dreams and a peaceful nights’ sleep for Mom and Dad. Hope everyone enjoyed a recliner. Looking forward to hearing from you again in 2013.   I can't even begin to describe how wonderfully over-the-top this house is. First of all, from the top deck you feel like you are practically sitting in the ocean. This was wonderful as we had a small baby that had to be in the house for naps. We were never limited since we felt like we were on the beach even in the living room! All details in this house make you smile - from comfy beds, to cozy furnishings, to high quality TVs, and even soothing light fixtures- nothing has been missed. We felt like we were in a 5 star luxury hotel! We used all parts of this house, but especially loved an afternoon movie with the kids in the "better than movie theater" media room, and the amazing hot tub overlooking the ocean on the second floor balcony. The proximity to the beach was so nice for us because we didn't have to pack up for a stay on the beach - we just ran into the house for whatever we needed. We spent all week at the house, cooking every night, enjoying the decks and beach... it was really hard to pull ourselves away as we felt that we had all the comforts of home. Also, I have never been in a beach rental house that was more immaculately cleaned (something we really appreciated having little kids crawling around). And last but not least, the owners were such a pleasure to work with - approachable and helpful every step of the way. I cannot recommend this house enough. You will not be disappointed - it was even better than it looked online (and that is saying something!). We can't wait to return!

  The first comment my daughter made was every room is gorgeous and immaculate! If you think the online pictures are nice, just wait until you actually arrive! Such beautiful woodwork, extra large rooms, spacious baths, catering to the young - a nursery with all accessories, and old – handicapped facilities, fireplaces, well equipped kitchen & kitchenette, two refrigerators, dishwashers, two washers & dryers (our favorite), game room, theatre room, elevator, outdoor showers, fish cleaning station….oh my, I could go on and on! You are only a mere few feet from the ocean and the view from anywhere in the house or on any deck is stunning. Although the hurricane hanging around a good ways out kept the waves high and the wind blowing, it sure didn’t keep the fish from biting! We fished directly in front of the house every day and have nearly 100 fish for a fry coming up soon. My son-in-law said the fishing was as good there as anywhere he’d fished on the outer banks before. Our week went by much too fast. If you are looking for a vacation home away from home you’ve found it….it’s magnificent! The owners have put much thought into decorating and furnishing ensuring guests the ultimate vacation of comfort and relaxation. They are so thoughtful and caring, you’ll leave finding you have found new friends. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

  The house was great. Spacious and very comfy. We loved the fact that there were 2 dishwashers and 2 washing machines and dryers. Made it very easy for everyone. The rooms in the house are wonderful. My Mom, who has a hard time walking loved the elevator and the handicapped bathroom. It was a short walk for her to the beach, couple of steps and she was there. I loved the outdoor showers. Our family had a great time. We saw dolphins swimming by the house. Beach was nice and clean. I recommend this house, I give it a A+++ rating. House was great and the owners were just as great.

  From the moment we found this beautiful home on VRBO we knew we had been blessed with something very special! Having never visited OBX before it was so helpful to rent from such accommodating and experienced owners. All of the advice and tips we recieved greatly contributed to our carefree and relaxing stay. First of all, coming in on a Friday is genius! The other renters we spoke to who arrived on Sat and Sun were exausted and lost most of their first day, while we arrived without hassle and were able to food shop and stock up for the week without even a line at the Food Lion and were then able to hit the beach! As lovely as the photos are they in no way portray the incredible beauty of this spacious and immaculate home! As we went thru the rooms we were just thrilled with everything we saw. Our families enjoyed the gameroom, watching DVDs in the theater room, soaking in the hot tub along with fishing...flying kites...swimming...sunbathing....all right in front of the house! We were 2 adult couples, a 17 and 16 year old boy and 17 year old girl ( all three who never once complained about "nothing to do" or "being bored") . We chose to eat out most nights, cooked in the perfectly stocked kitchen every morning and also enjoyed a night of seafood takeout (menu posted in kitchen). There are some options for excursions nearby if you choose (we were happy to stay where we were and utilize everything this incredible home had to offer). We would highly recommend Hatteras Beach House to our family and friends and anyone who would like a relaxing stay in an incredible setting!

  The house is amazing. Our first impression was that we felt right at home. We arrived late on the first night, so we couldn't appreciate the ocean views until we woke up to the most amazing sunrises over the ocean right out of every bedroom window. The weather was still a little cool, which was perfect for sleeping and for leaving the windows open at night to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Weather was perfect for wind surfing. The house itself had everything we needed to be comfortable. Rooms are very spacious. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and then some. Flat screen tv's in every bedroom were a plus and something we weren't accustomed to in other homes we have rented previously. Loved being so close to the ocean and having the ability to sit on the deck and feel like we were right on the beach without having to sit on sand. :) The week went by too fast, but it was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Looking forward to coming back next year.

  The house is breathtaking and well equipped. Everything was very clean and in perfect condition and working order. The ocean views from every room are like nothing we've ever experienced, you almost feel like you are on a cruise ship. Really had a relaxing time and enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the surfers and dolphins. The interior of the home is very nicely decorated and the furniture is very comfortable with a homey feel rather than just another beach house. The beds are extremely comfortable and the showers were nice and hot. Very convenient to have two washers and dryers which meant we didn't have to pack a lot of clothes. Although we did have perfect weather and were outside soaking up the sun everyday, we did manage to get in a few games of pool and a movie in the theater room. Again, the views were just amazing and we couldn't get over how beautiful everything was, just like in the photos. Although we did enjoy cooking in the kitchen which is made for a chef, we did eat at Lisa's restaurant a few times, which is only about a mile down the road to the right. Very good food and we would recommend it. Especially enjoyed bringing the food back and then having it at the dining room table for our own private meal over looking the water. The elevator was also very convenient for bringing our stuff and the groceries upstairs instead of having to carry everything up the stairs. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!

  Hatteras Beach House is fabulous. It is very well equipped and very nicely furnished making for a very comfortable stay. It is also very spacious - we travelled with another family, 5 children in all, and there was more than enough room for all of us. It is also perfectly positioned - right on the beach. Sitting on the deck in the evening, hearing the waves crash feet away made for a very relaxing vacation -and watching the dolphins swim by most days was amazing. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing / get away from it all beach holiday. We all had a lovely time.
