An easy drive from the Seattle area, you could be here relaxing with friends or family within 90 minutes of leaving the hustle and bustle behind. This mountain retreat hosts 12 people with ease, and the house has space for everyone to relax. Dining room seats 12 comfortably. Imagine a delicious barbeque, with steaks from reknown Carek's meat market, a cool evening breeze, bringing tranquility your way. Unwind in the generous great room, knowing golf, a hike, shopping, biking, local wine tasting or whatever outdoor adventure you choose is waiting on the other side of the sunset being painted with streaks of pink and orange in the evening sky. Spring and Summer will be sunny on the eastern slopes of the Cascades, so escape the unpredictable weather of the west-side for some sun!

Awesome Retreat for a Large Group
Awesome Retreat for a Large Group
I stayed here with my family (including a three year old -- who cried for 45 minutes in protest of our having to return to Seattle) and close friends for three nights and four days and hope to do it again soon. All of us had our own beds and not once did we feel cramped in the house. This house does more than sleeps 12 - it LIVES 12... and does so with little effort. There is so much room, and the loft area is fantastic. We couldn't have picked a better place. For a group of thirty-somethings to feel like we had a genuine sleepover opportunity was priceless. Our entire crew was nothing short of charmed by the layout and feel of the house, which gave us ample opportunity to actually spend quiet quality time with one another. The deck held us all with plenty of seating and we never felt like we were anywhere but in a world all to ourselves. The kitchen is laid out in a way that makes sense for large family-style dinners to happen, and the dining room table was big enough for us all to be able to sit and enjoy meals together. This was the perfect house for our needs. It is walking distance to everything in town, and around the corner from a fantastic historic cemetery --- and it's a short drive to some fantastic lakes where you can bask in some great views. You can hear and see plenty of birds without any city-noise distractions, and the view of the stars from the front deck was awesome. The owners left easy-to-read/well-placed notes on everything from household "need to knows" to things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to a family or group of friends who are looking for a getaway that isn't far from Seattle, but delightfully feels that way. PS-- this property is kid-friendly, and with two bedrooms on the main floor and a ramp, also makes for easy access for people with disabilities.
