Just one mile from the University of Oregon, Meadow View is perfect for visiting the U of O. So close to campus yet in a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood. The Meadow View property is across from a beautiful oak savanna which 50 years ago was the back 9 holes of Laurelwood Golf Course and today is undeveloped parkland. The street is one lane and dead ends 6 doors from Meadow View where the the city's Ribbon Trail system, a jewel for runners and walkers, begins. In addition to its close proximity to the University, Meadow View is just minutes from the Matthew Knight Arena, Hayward Field, Hendricks Park, restaurants and downtown.
Bright and spacious, the master suite is newly remodeled with a clean, modern feel. With a private entrance and private patio area, you will feel like you are in your own retreat while you are a guest at Meadow View. The cottage is a few steps away at the upper level of the property featuring a full kitchen, vaulted ceiling and skylights. Guests who have stayed there have described it as private, quiet and cozy and it has gotten rave reviews over the years.
You'll find the kitchen supplied with the makings for a basic breakfast - organic fruit, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, coffee and a variety of teas. Prepare these at your leisure and enjoy breakfast on the front patio if you wish.
Relax and enjoy our 'front 40', the oak savanna, good walks in the woods leading into Hendricks Park. There are maps available of the trail system and more, allowing you to get out and explore all that Eugene and Lane County have to offer.
One recent guest said: 'Loved the location and ease of getting around from this beautiful neighborhood to the university campus. After spending time hiking, visiting, shopping and of course, eating at the great local restaurants, I came back to a delightful and peaceful place to rest. The owner was gracious and attentive and I felt welcomed and cared for through the many thoughtful touches she has provided both indoors and outdoors. Will return again!'

What a wonderful experience! Perfect location...the draw of the meadow and woods was magical. Yet town was in walking distance. The space is clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable for our family of 3. The kitchenette was stocked with the essentials...coffeee and fruit, tea and yogurt...and fresh flowers were waiting for us! Dralyn was so helpful and lovely. We could not have had a more delightful stay. We are already planning a trip back next spring!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I had the pleasure to stay at this property for a week. Love the location, great walking/running trails lead from your door. The bed was super comfortable. Local coffe, teas, fruit, granola , yogurt was provided and enjoyed. Eugene is a place where people walk, this is a great house to do that from.I am already planning my next visit, thank you :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We rented this little cottage over Thanksgiving and it was absolutely wonderful. It's bright and cute. The owner greeted us on arrival and equipped the kitchen with great breakfast items. She thought of everything: we even had organic half&half for our coffee! We can't wait to come back and stay here again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We were so grateful to find this gem! We came to eugene to visit our daughter at college and were lucky enough to find both the master suite and the cottage available. My husband and I enjoyed the luxury of having the suite to ourselves and his parents stayed in the cozy cottage at the back of the property. We loved the lush yard and joining the parents for breakfast on the patio or in the gorgeous garden. A big thumbs up to Dralyn for being such a courteous and welcoming hostess. In addition to providing maps and tips on local activities in the guestbook, she was always very willing to answer any questions and provide her own insight on the town. Our daughter is a freshman, so we can't wait to book meadow view for three more years of college visits!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Just a fantastic place to stay. We are a traveling couple without kids. The location near U of O was great and very close to downtown Eugene. We rented the small little cottage up at the rear end of the property so it felt very private. Room itself was cozy and comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen were exactly as we expected and the surrounding yard was very pretty. The bed was extremely comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and wonderful. We kind of wanted to just quit our jobs back home and see if we would take us as permanent tenants but we begrudgingly decided to go back to our normal lives at the end of our stay. She left us homemade grape juice and grapes! Just wonderful. It was an excellent decision to stay there instead of in a larger hotel. It's only one bed so I wouldn't recommend this for a larger group or family but it was perfect for a couple. We would definitely go back again if she would have us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much, Phil! I enjoyed meeting you both and hope you return again soon!

We loved staying in this quiet, charming Suite. We were greeted with fresh fruit and granola and a hiking trail right outside our front window. The bathroom and shower upgrades exceded our expectations as well as the modern feel to the rental. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We would rate our stay a 5 out of 5.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Lovely wonderful cottage nestled in the bamboo and blackberries! Quiet and clean and a comfortable bed. Apple trees, and birds surround you in your mini private oasis, minutes to downtown and campus. Bright and comfortable, wish we could have stayed longer and will return again! Thanks! Lovely studio and location. Comfortable and clean, owner very informative. Getting to and from location was very easy. Only reason I would not rate our stay as excellent, was due to the renters staying in the other half of home having a small gathering, we could hear their conversations through the shared wall.Recommended for: Age 55+.
Owner response: We really appreciate your feedback! For future guests: this was in our early days as a rental property and we now have 2 sets of double doors that we keep closed at all times to reduce noise from the main house. Thank you again!

We spent two weeks here during the Olympic Track & Field trials, and enjoyed the beautiful location and lovely decor. The unit has just been redecorated, and was very comfortable. The owner was helpful with suggestions of activities and restaurants. The U or O is close, and a hiking trail is right outside the door.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
