Kitsilano is a relaxed, safe and friendly neighbourhood close to downtown and beaches. Originally a Greek neighbourhood it has retained much of its European feel, especially on the high street with great Greek restaurants and food shopping.
Relax on the patio with a glass of wine or have a BBQ, in our beautiful, secluded garden. If you have children they can freely play in the safety of a fully fenced, child friendly, garden. Return through the patio doors into the well designed living area with its big comfy sectional sofa to read a good book or watch television on the flat screen television or a movie. For those wanting to cook there is a brand new kitchen with dishwasher and gas range. If you don't feel like cooking walk 2 blocks to a large selection of eateries, deli's or neighbourhood bars. Vancouver is well known for great restaurants and many are close by, or a convenient 10 minute drive to downtown. Laundry is not a problem with a separate laundry room with brand new washer/dryer.
The master bedroom with a queen bed is conveniently separated from the twin-bedded room. Alternately, for the restless sleeper, fifth person, or extra guest there is a twin bed in an office area. The new bathroom has a bath with shower and large sink.
We have had many guest who are relocating from other countries and they always appreciate the excellent quality of amenities provided (e.g. iron/ironing board, good linens, towels, good kitchen utensils, and plenty of dishes, pots and pans, basic grocery staples such as olive oil, tea, sugar, etc.).
For those visiting family, feel free to bring them over to enjoy a BBQ knowing there is plenty of room, inside and outdoors to entertain them.
Often described as a 'haven in Kitsilano'. Especially for those looking for an alternative to hotels or wanting to be close to family.

An excellent apartment in a great location
There were 5 of us in our family who went to Canada for our son's wedding. We had a wonderful stay in Kitsilano and Shirley and Ron who own the property were wonderful. On arrival they had left provisions for us in the kitchen and everything about the property was excellent. Shirley came to see us to make sure that all was ok. The set up of the apartment was great and it really suited us. The new kitchen was superb and the bedrooms were comfortable and well furnished. The living area was so comfortable and having access to the garden was a great bonus as we entertained guests with a BBQ. The location is really good between West 4th and Broadway which are good shopping and eating places. The beach is only a short walk away and there are some excellent restaurants nearby. I would fully recommend this property to anyone looking for a well furnished and comfortable property to enjoy a break in Vancouver. Shirley and Ron ensure that everything is done to make your stay is comfortable and stress free. We had a superb stay here and we wish we could have stayed longer. You will not be disappointed with a stay in this excellent property. A big thank you to Shirley and Ron.

Great vacation in Kitsilano
I highly recommend renting the Heart of Kitsilano suite; everything was as expected and even better. The owner was on site to welcome us and to answer all of our questions and she even greeted us with some food in the fridge! The suite was very clean and completely adapted to our young family's needs (crib, high chair, booster seat, toys, DVDs and books). The enclosed backyard was a great addition as well as the completely renovated kitchen! The location was perfect as it is within walkable distance of several beaches, restaurants and shops.

About the owner: We are a professional couple with adult children who enjoy our eclectic neighbourhood as well as time at our holiday home on an isolated coastal island. We very much enjoy vacationing families staying here, as well as those relocating from other countries. We have 4 sons and 4 grandchildren and love getting together with them when we can. We love travel and try and visit Europe each year.
Why the Owner Chose Kitsilano:
Kitsilano is close to everything while maintaining a true neighbourhood feel. Guests frequently comment on its proximity to everything and the large number of activities and attractions accessible to them during their stay. The are also great restaurants and theatres close by. It is also a 'walking' or 'cycling' city, so a car is not always necessary.

Location, location, location. Relaxed neighbourhood, safe for strolling. Wonderful gardens and coffee shops everywhere. Wonderful beaches within walking distance. Friendly neighbours and lots to do. Our personal favourite is our early morning walks on the beach.
