Gorgeous Lake View Home on Medina Lake. Beautiful open-style house, living room and kitchen on second floor to maximize view of lake. Three bedrooms downstairs, master with spa-style tub, loft with den upstairs from living area. 3 floors to this house. 2 car garage. Quiet, secluded ranch that covers 2000 acres, has permanent residents, and includes cows, deer, turkeys, and various other wild life seen in the Texas Hill country. Look out on Medina Lake from the deck while barbequing dinner, listen to the absolute quiet, except the birds and insects, and sometimes the sound of jet skis on the lake. On July 4th enjoy the fireworks display by the lake residents while sitting on the deck, in full view but far enough away to see the entire show. Within one hour drive you can visit Kerrville, Fredricksburg, Castroville and San Antonio.

We are a family of four and spent lots of quality time with our kids and also did lots of sightseeing! The house was perfect, exactly how it is in the photos! Very peaceful, beautiful views and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Bernadette!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The house is great except it isn't children friendly. Too many steps and no safety on the cabinets and plugs. The Kitchen is on the second level of the home. Steps to climb to put groceries, etc away. Found some railing on the steps to be disconnected from the railing (fall hazard for children). Need TVs in the master bedroom and apartment. We would use them again for an adult trip or for our older children but, not for little ones.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We were lucky to have rented the house for the whole month of July, and the kids (aged 7, 9, & 10) and I had a great time. The house was beautiful, and equipped with just about everything you could need. The views from the deck were spectacular, and I especially enjoyed sitting outside at night after the kids had gone to bed. Bernie was great to work with, very prompt with her replies, and always looking out for us. The house is somewhat remote, which Bernie was clear to point out, but we thoroughly enjoyed the serenity, the scenery, the privacy, the wildlife, etc. We still were able to enjoy all the fun activities that San Antonio has to offer, but at the end of the day, we were happy to return to our little piece of heaven. We got a great taste of the "Texas Hill Country" and hope to be back again next year. My only regret was that we weren't able to meet Bernie in person to say "thanks".Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My husband and I, along with many of our friends, have enjoyed lots of get togethers and evenings with friends at this house. We have brought our dogs from time to time, but they are outside dogs, we don't allow them inside.
Why the Owner Chose Medina Lake:
The house is close to San Antonio where we live and we can be there within an hour. We also are avid sailors around Lake Medina.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
We love to have friends come with us, but some of our most enjoyable times are just getting away for a quiet weekend when we've had a hectic week at work.
