A wonderful beach house for couples or a large family. Only one home back from the ocean, you will hear the surf and feel the breeze on the enormous screened porch and deck.
With five bedroom, there is room for all! Four bedrooms have Queen sized beds, the fifth bedroom has two twin-sized beds, and, there are three baths with anti-microbial, Corian shower walls. In addition to the indoor showers, there is an outdoor shower with hot/cold water, an additional enclosed outdoor shower with hot/cold water, and an outdoor water closet with utility sink. We love coming off the beach and bathing the kids (and even, ourselves!) right outside - keeps down on the sand inside and no fighting for shower time!
Though the home officially sleeps ten, we have a large family and have fit many more! There are two walk-in closets that we often use to set up pack-n-plays or equip with sleep pallets for the little ones. We also have a high chair, booster, lego table, and beach toys if you have kids. Just let us know and we'll do what we can to make your packing a little lighter.
This comfy beach home boasts a large living room open to the informal dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all the comforts of home, including an additional beverage cooler. A large pantry allows for extra storage and there's plenty of counter space to cook/prep for a large group. There's also a gas grill on the deck for all the seasonal favorites. We've also added a large pot with gas burner to make Lowcountry Boil or crabs an easy dinner for a large crowd.
Open the glass sliders in the living room and let the outside in! An enormous screened porch with television and plenty of seating is a favorite spot. Or, enjoy the open deck where you can catch some rays or watch the pelicans pass overhead. A vacant lot next door provides a little extra elbow room and privacy.
There are six televisions, three DVD players, a Wii with several games (Mario Kart, Mario Party, Wii Fit) and a portable Ipod player and CD player for your enjoyment. We also provide 15 beach towels and a beach closet stocked with chairs, umbrellas, beach carts, boogie boards, and beach toys. There are also black-out shades in four of the bedrooms (the other is shaded and doesn't need them...), so you can sleep in or nap anytime.

About the owner: We live in Savannah and purchased our beach house to enjoy with our four children and seven grandsons. Now that all the boys are older, it seems we spend more time on bleachers than at the beach! Hoping others will be able to enjoy this wonderful vacation spot as much as we have.
Why the Owner Chose Tybee Island:
Having a large family, most of whom are based in Savannah, it only made sense to choose Tybee!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We really believe we're on the best lane on the island! There are only seven homes on our street and we have a charming little beach path that I love. It's so convenient to everything on the island, but our area of the beach is less-crowded than the more commercial areas. There's no thru-traffic at all!
