About the owner: My wife and I are both doctors, travelers, philanthropists, adventurers and missionaries. We have 4 children we adore that travel with us. Our 3 girls are 16, 20 and 21. Our son is 18. They've had the privilege of growing up in this magnificent place. We have a close, extended family in the area and many friends who have enjoyed creating memories out here with us. If you would like to attend a great church in the area, we recommend Shoreline Community Church in Monterey, or we can offer up other recommendations. We can recommend restaurants, wineries, adventures, masseuses or anything else you might desire.
Why the Owner Chose Salinas:
This is a unique property that is away from the hustle and bustle of the planet, while still close to amenities. We typically have sunshine and beautiful, clear skies while Carmel and the peninsula are usually fogged in. There are exceptional panoramic views. The ranch has privacy and enough room to host a group that doesnt have to feel that they are on top of each other. The outdoor shower, pool and hot tub are divine. Its a perfect place for kids hunting lizards or playing in the treehouse. (has a pool with a cover, but always take precautions-we assume no liability). Our kids are older, so we are now in a position to extend hospitality and share this place with others who value a unique retreat experience without forsaking comfort.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
Its hard to describe the serenity of being out here in luxurious privacy and nature, while still being within 15 min of the airport, grocery stores, shopping and other amenities. Its a beautiful place. We have a grand piano, radiant heat in the master bath, 3 fireplaces, wireless internet, outdoor shower, hot tub, pool, outdoor fire pit and plenty of parking. Its got a magic to it whether its a warm, sunny day and the windows are all open, or when its blustery rain and we are gathered with a good book or game in front of the roaring fireplace. When we do leave, we enjoy catching a movie, walking downtown in quaint Carmel and hitting the beach, catching a performance at the Sunset Center, having a picnic in Big Sur, surfing or kayaking in Monterey Bay, or riding the mountain bike trails in Toro Park. Mostly though....we just like being back on the ranch because as one family member says 'we don't have to go to the park, we LIVE in the park!'.
