Wonderful panoramic views of Richmond Pond and Rhode Island sound from most rooms in house. Beautiful pastoral beach community. No traffic. House is spacious and completely renovated, downstairs contains a complete apartment. Fabulous soothing colors and bright airy main living provide beautiful summer retreat. House has two private master bedrooms plus ample space for children and other guests. Walk to beach. Barbecue on deck. Spacious lawn for croquet, whiffle ball or frisbee.
Westport is a pastoral beach community close to towns with quaint shops, local farms and restaurants. It is 15 minutes to the Dartmouth Mall for movies and activities, mini golf, restaurants. Fantastic seafood can be purchased in town for barbecue on the deck. In addition to beach time, antiqueing, wine tasting, bike riding and shelling are some favorite activities.
Newport, Rhode Island with mansion tours and beach is 30 minutes by car, Fall River offers outlet stores and a Battleship tour, and Providence RI home to Brown University is a short drive away.
Daytrips to Martha's Vineyard (with bicycles or as a pedestrian) can be made from the New Bedford ferry, which is 20 minutes from Westport Harbor. New Bedford also has a whaling museum.
Westport is 60 miles from Boston, Massachusett's Logan Airport and 35 miles from Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island.
