  Let me start off by saying, we loved this property and will return. It was a little hard to find because there were no numbers on the mailbox. I called the owner. The property has a 45 degree incline to get from the road to the cottage. I tried to take the garbage can from the road back down to the house and fell. I was okay but it was dangerous. We were 4 older ladies and there was no way possible we could have taken the garbage can back up the incline to the road at the end of our stay. We pay extra for clean up and objected to stripping our beds when we departed although we follow rules and did so. Bring your own toilet tissue and bar soap. We never figured out how the beautiful flat TV worked but then we had no men with us so we just played cards and dominioes. The property was very clean and we would certainly recommend it to others. The owner was always just a phone call away and he was most helpful. We only went to town to eat and found a great restaurant, Satterfields, which was great. The listing description was right on the dot. We had fun, fun, fun! Gonna rent this place next year!

  We rented this home for a quick work retreat for five of our staff members. It met our needs perfectly. We were all incredibly comfortable. There is plenty of space to work... huge living area with plenty of seating, large dining table, small table and swing on the pier, rocking chairs on the porch, and a table outside. We cooked a few meals at the home and went over to New Roads (across False River and a 10-minute drive) for lunch and dinner. We accomplished our goals in comfort here and would absolutely rent it again. It's perfect for two couples with kids. Two king size beds and a bunk room with four full-sized beds. Highly recommend.

  This is a great house to rent and a beautiful view of the river. The "bunk room" has bunk beds that are actually doubles. Young adults/young parents can sleep below with the kids above. All amenities needed were available. Suggest they add a single bed to each larger bedroom since it's not really practical to have 2 people sleeping in the upper double bunks--this is not a complaint, just a constructive observation. Owner is easy to deal with and wants to make the stay easy and pleasurable. Thanks.

  We had a great time as we have in the past! The place is nice and clean. It has a beautiful view of the river and has a great set up! It was a quick easy trip into Baton Rouge for the game! Only negative was the AC went out on us BUT we survived and thank go it was October and not August! We will be back!
