Beautiful wood vaulted ceiling, Italian stone flooring, and amazing views of the private pool, jacuzzi, beach, Pacific Ocean at your finger tips, romantic night lit palm trees, and jagged cliffs. The grandeur of the outdoors is breathtaking, as is the desirable outdoor living space!
Relax in your own little paradise to the lulling sound of Ocean waves as every care in the world gets swept away. Take a long leisurely naps in a handmade hammock built for two swinging in the breeze under breathtaking palm trees; don't forget to include your favorite beverage in hand. Handmade wooden reclining beach chairs are also dispersed around the outdoor living space so every seat is the best VIEW seat.
Take a hike on the meandering trails throughout this private gated community, for convenience and a little local color, stop at one of the several choices of little neighborhood tienda's stores for a cold beverage, homemade baked goodie or get a needed household supply. Large Super Market is within 15 minutes. The trails also lead to Restaurants at Palmarcito Beach and the sandy beaches where you can collect sea shells; enjoy the therapeutic lava sea pools, natural sea pools or gaze out to sea, you may even spot whales or dolphins migrating South.
You can enjoy both your own private beach of 'La Leona,' where just 7 lucky residential homes, yours included, dot the coast with direct access to the beach and exotic lava sea pools. Or, for a change of scenery, take a short walk to a nearby public beach called El Palmarcito, where vendors and local seafood Restaurants are available during weekends. Surfing at Palmarcito is awesome also. For other areas to surf or outings, hop the public bus which runs regularly and affordably throughout the day at the main entrance of Atami.
Enjoy boogie boarding, paddle boarding, and surfing right outside your villa with not one, but two, choices of beaches to surf from; and your within minutes, in either direction, from World class consistent swells and right hand breakers. This Casita is centrally located for a variety of surfing destinations as well as local night time 'hot spots,' and Restaurants all within 10 minutes from the Casita. El Salvador is one of the top 10 places to surf in the world. Surf lessons are available. Surfing is a fine art and a joyful observation sport.
Almost daily, Local divers go off the reefs at La Leona beach for fresh lobster and oysters. Put in your order and they are happy to hand deliver to your doorstep their fresh catch of the day. The back yard BBQ can cook up some of the best lobster you'll ever taste, it's super FRESH, just add butter, lime and cilantro. Bon Apetitt'!
Another fabulous outting is a short trip to La Puerta for Centro America's largest fresh seafood pier where every imaginable seafood can be purchased for a very reasonable price.

This romantic casita was beyond what we had expected! The property manager was helpful and in tune with our needs while we were there. The casita is beautiful and provides all the necessity amenities for sun bathing, cooking, and relaxing. The location is perfect for surfers, beach combers, or those looking to relax in a hammock and listen to the ocean. There is a unique trail that leads to neighboring El Palmarcito with natural pools along the way. The house is a dream for anyone who wants to experience El Salvador in style. Also, the neighborhood is gated which would make anyone feel more comfortable in their surroundings. There is a private walk to the beach which you can lock at will. Overall, the pictures do not do this casita justice. It is even more beautiful when you see it with your own eyes and feel the mist of the ocean while standing on the balcony. We will be staying there again next time we go!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: My husband and I fell in love with the people of El Salvador and then the place. We bought land during our very first visit to this amazing Country several years ago. We built a home on the Coast and with so many people wanting to visit to see El Salvador for themselves, we embarked on a new endeavor to help others fall in love with El Salvador as we have. It must be working because many of our guests at both our Bed Breakfast and Spa and our Rental Properties are now property owners themselves in and around the Coastal region. We take great joy in helping others see this incredible Country and culture through our eyes. We like what we do and it shows!
Why the Owner Chose El Sunzal:
Before we even owned land at the end of a beautiful peninsula in a gated community, we would drive to witness the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. On our last day of vacation, I said, 'let's say goodbye to OUR PLACE.' hanging on a tree was a sign said that said 'for sale.' We called even though we were running late to catch our airplane. The owner, at the time, had just posted the sign and said he'd turn around and be back in less than 10 minutes, He came, we placed an offer, he accepted and we made a mad dash to the Int'l airport arriving last call for the Burkes. We hit the seats laughing but were slightly numb; being the adventuresome sort we are, we dove into being proud property owners of El Salvador with gusto.
We returned weeks later to start the building phase and have been enjoying the Country and it's people for over 5 years. We love the slower pace of El Salvador, we love how relational and community oriented it is and recently, we have taken up surfing!

The sound of the ocean ranks at the top of what we enjoy the most about El Salvador. The smell of the Ocean is second and how it is brimming with life. I love to watch the dolphins, manarays, turtles, pelicans, whales, fish etc. The ocean is constantly changing and yet it so soothing! There is nothing quite so relaxing as the sound of the ocean from my hammock; or the view of the colorful sunsets from our observatory deck.
I love everything about our little Paradise on the Coast. I especially love sharing it with others!
