We have a beautifully maintained landscape with an on site manager and friendly neighbors. Keauhou Akahi is off condo row and a hidden treasure for a wonderful vacation. Families with children are very welcome and the kids love the saline pool. This unit has great access without stairs and there is plenty of shady close parking. The ocean sunset views are fantastic and it's fun to watch the golfers teeing off on the 9th hole of the Kona Country Club. This location is highly recommended for romantic getaways, families with young children, people who need good access and travelers without a car. Everything you need is within walking distance. Try a new sport while you're here-stand up paddle or paddle an outrigger canoe. Take the little open air shuttle into Kona town for a stroll around the shops and a fun meal. This is the location for the trip of a lifetime. Volcanoes, ziplines, horseback riding-the Big Island has it all!

My family and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful and comfy condo! Nancy (caretaker) was extremely friendly and helpful, and the communication with Diane (owner) was prompt, and personable. My children loved the Murphy bed, and their own "colorful" bathroom. The bed in the master bedroom was perfect as well. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, and the condo was conveniently located just steps from the pristine pool. We have already recommended this place for friends who will be there on Thanksgiving weekend, and can't wait to start planning our next trip over!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Fabulous location--excellent sunset viewing. Close to/walking distance from shopping, restaurants, beaches, scuba boats,local farmer's markets and weekend entertainment. Very quiet! Clean and spacious condo with lovely lanai and garden area; barbeque; swimming pool on property. Owners very knowledgeable about local sites and "doings." We are returning users of this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

My family had a wonderful stay. This is a great location, easy 3-5 min walk to Keauhou bay, very convenient with stores & farmer's market nearby, which made it easy to prepare meals & kick back out on the lanai. The condo is very comfortable & well-equipped with everything we needed. We took day trips or relaxed at the pool, just steps away. Great experience - We'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We retired, bought this condo and started having the best times of our lives! I never thought I would be racing outrigger canoes at my age, but wow what fun it has been! We spent the first 4 months or so here without a car and the location is so perfect for walking or biking to whatever you need. We have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren in CA so we go back and forth and open up the condo to others when we're not here. Life is Good!
Why the Owner Chose Keauhou Akahi:
We chose this complex because of the beautiful peaceful grounds, friendly neighbors and we had already fallen in love with Keauhou Bay and were so excited to find a place so close to it. We love having the grocery store so close and a post office, movie theater and pharmacy within walking distance. We like the fact that there are only 48 units here and that it has a secluded off the beaten path feel to it.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
My favorite benefit is to walk to the ocean and enjoy it's beauty. I've fallen in love with outrigger canoe paddling and get on the water almost every day without getting in a car. My grandchildren absolutely love the pool here. Keauhou Akahi has a wonderful feeling to it-it feels like a little hometown.
