  This unit is perfect for two people: well equipped kitchen with condiments, dishes, pots and pans, foil, saran, dish soap, etc. For your trips to the beach there are beach towels, snorkel and fins (2 sets), high and low beach chairs, swim noodles, air mattress, boogie board, ice chests and beach bags, even 2 sun hats! By the pool there is an outdoor kitchen. You can either eat along the bar or at the table. There is a full size built in BBQ, ambience lighting and candles, large refrigerator and ice maker, and radio for music. We ate outside every night for the week we stayed here. The living unit has ceiling fans and AC both on the main level: kitchen and living room, and the upstairs: king size bed and full bath. Flat screen TV's both upstairs and down; upstairs one has a DVD player. Free wifi and a parking spot for your car at no charge. The location is less than one block to the beach and centrally located to travel north or south from Kihei. Safeway store is within 5-10 minutes. Also try the fish taco food trucks for local seafood treats: amazingly fresh and yummy! Beach hop all the way down to Wailea or take a drive north to Lahaina. We also took a ferry from Lahaina to Lanai for the day. Outdoor shower by the gate so when you come back from the beach, you can wash off your feet or take a shower. Every morning we did a beach walk to the north, on the beach, about 1.5 miles up the coast and back down to the unit. This is a very quiet, restful, oasis with only 6 units total. You will feel like you are in your own paradise and private Hawaiian garden. We have never stayed at a more well thought out, well equipped unit anywhere in the world. You won't want to leave! The property is meticulously maintained. The owner of this unit lives onsite and he will ensure you have everything you need, if it isn't already there! I hope I haven't left anything out! This was our second time staying here.

  We stayed 14 days at Aloha Pualani Maui Gardenia Suite and it was perfect. It was our first time on the island of Maui and we found the location of this property great. We were only a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go which made it awesome for day trips. We took advantage of this to check out out the whole island. It was also in a great spot if you just wanted to take in all that Kihei has to offer. The property itself was exactly as described in the description. We have stayed at numerous VRBO properties and you are always a little leery of what you may encounter when you arrive. There is no worries about that with the Aloha Pualani. The place was super clean and well appointed. We didn't want for anything. There are chairs, coolers, an umbrella, beach towels, etc.. All that is needed to have an awesome beach day. The BBQ area was great. We grilled almost every night. The pool is literally 4 feet from your patio doors. Being a smaller complex we basically had the pool area to ourselves. The internet was reliable to stay in touch with family back home. The bed was super comfortable. The AC kept us Canadians that aren't use to the heat very cool. Overall this place helped make our holiday awesome. We would recommend it to anybody looking for a quiet, relaxed place to spend their holiday in paradise. We look forward to returning to Maui and another stay at the Aloha Pualani!

  My husband and I celebrated our 25 th wedding anniversary here and we couldn't have selected a better place to stay. The unit was decorated spectacularly and very clean. The grounds and landscape were also impeccable. Extremely romantic and enchanting. We felt as though we had our own private beach. Everything we needed was right there. Don't forget to check out the available condiments in the community refrigerator before going to grocery store! The property manager genuinely warm and friendly and was very informative and knowledgable, offering us advice about the island and answering any questions we had. We will definitely go back and we highly recommend this property for a great vacation that you will never forget on Maui!

  My wife and I just returned from 14 fabulous days in Maui, and 14 heavenly nights in the Gardenia Suite at Aloha Pualani. Edward, we can't thank you enough for your hospitality and friendship during our stay. It was definitely "value added" to our vacation. The Gardenia suite was fantastic... even better than the photos and description on VRBO. It was modern, super clean and very well appointed, with everything we needed from kitchenware to beach gear. Patti refers to the upstairs master suite as her "happy place." The king bed was awesome and between the ceiling fan and the flow-through ventilation we never even turned on the a/c. The pool was great, but it was the poolside kitchen pavilion that really made our stay. We grilled our supper most evenings, and even made breakfast a few mornings. An added bonus was meeting the neighbors early in our stay. We became good friends and shared a few meals and drinks around the pavilion bar. We found the six suite complex to be be very quiet and private, yet the location provided easy access to all that Maui has to offer. After a few trips through Kehei/Wailea/Makena, on the busy South Kehei Road, we appreciated the quiet of North Kehei. We walked most mornings on Sugar Beach... an added bonus having beach access a few steps from our property. We enjoyed numerous whale sightings during the day, and some beautiful sunsets most evenings. We took advantage of our extended stay and explored all corners of the island... from Kapalua to Hana, and everything in between including a trip up Haleakala, a visit the Ioa Needle, Hookipa Beach for watch the surfers, a round of golf at Pukalani, the Blowhole on the north-west shore and a visit the Turnbull Studio and Sculpture Garden on the north-east shore, just north of Wailuku... all fabulous experiences. We can't say enough good things about Edward and the Gardenia Suite at Aloha Pualani. We look forward to our next visit... hopefully very soon!

  My Partner and I were lucky to have stayed at Aloha Pualani for 2 weeks! The place was amazing! You walk though a private gate into a beautifully landscaped patio with a 6 foot deep pool. There are six units that share the outdoor space that is expertly manicured! The Gardenia Suite was a perfect place for our getaway. Its a two flour condo with a Juliette balcony on one end, a full covered deck on the other and the main flour opens up to the patio with pool! it was the perfect size and has air conditioning on both levels! The place was tastefully decorated with granite counter tops, a king bed, patio and deck furniture! Being sports fans we appreciated the 2 cable T.V's (one on each level of the condo). By far the outdoor patio was the highlight. It was clean and beautifully tiled. It was wonderful to sit out there for morning coffee or an evening dinner off the BBQ in the fully equipped outdoor kitchen! It was refreshing to stay at a place that looked better than the pictures! The owner, Edward, was awesome to work with. Before we arrived, he responded promptly to any questions I had and sent detailed information on how to access the condo. He went above and beyond outfitting the place with everything including; beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear and a boogie board as well as having the kitchen equipped for a gourmet chef! He recommended places to visit, hikes to go one and places to eat. It was a pleasure to meet him and gain some local tips for the island! The condo is in a perfect location. Your literally across the street from a beach and near the junction of the highways on the island which made day trips a breeze.We fell in love with Big Beach in Makena State Park. It was an easy 20 min drive, but well worth it to get to crystal clear waters and fantastic snorkeling. We had looked forward to this trip for months, and it was well worth the wait! Can't wait to go back!

  My husband and I had the distinct pleasure of staying at this lovely property for 3 nights this November. We appreciated the uniqueness, which at just six units has a private, individual, classy feel as compared to the larger, generic condo complexes in more crowded South Kihei and the resort hotels in Wailea. The beach is quite close, allowing us to spontaneously pop out there for sunsets, stargazing, morning coffee, or a quick swim anytime. We also went for long beach walks along Ma'alaea Bay, which is a very special place. I understand that one could walk all the way to Ma'alaea Harbor, 3 miles away, but the furthest we got was the bird preserve boardwalk about 2 miles along and stopped at the Farmers market on the way home. On our walks we enjoyed seeing the local fishermen and plenty of folks out enjoying but by no means crowded. Kayaking, paddle-surfing, snorkeling, etc. right outside. We only had 2 full days. The outdoor kitchen was amazing, and we used it more than once to cook dinner, including veggies from farmer's market just 1 mile up the beach as well as Maui beef and local seafood from the shops in South Kihei (thanks to Edward we knew the best places to shop). The saltwater pool was great, too. The bedroom (I love the 2-story layout) upstairs was super-comfortable for sleeping, the ceiling fans and trade winds were all we needed, although the ac was there just in case. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room was spacious and comfortable. After our excursions to Makena for snorkeling (thanks for the tips, Edward!) and hiking across the barren lava fields near La Perouse Bay, it was awesome to arrive back at the condo for relaxing time. The location also seems perfectly suited for excursions to other parts of the island, say Lahaina and Paia for the road to Hana, those will have to wait until next time for us. I know there are many many more adventures than we were able to take advantage of and this condo seems perfectly situated to explore the whole island. I can't say enough good things about Edward, he has a wealth of information about cool things to do in the area and was of enormous help for us in making the most of our short time in Maui. Also, he had a way of knowing just what might be needed in the way of comforts. Thank you so much Edward for your warmth and friendly, outgoing hospitality and creating such a welcoming atmosphere. It meant a lot to us! I hope we get back for a longer visit soon!
