SunFlower House is a cozy getaway for a couple or family. This charming, comfortable single-story house is across from the beach in the popular northwest section of Lincoln City, Oregon. Enjoy its stone gas fireplace, vaulted ceiling, rough-hewn cedar accents, 27" cable TV with a DVD player, wi-fi access, central gas heating and wall-to-wall carpeting.
The recently remodeled bonus room features a comfortable davenport, a second cable TV, and games and a large game table for the kids. The bedrooms have one king bed, one queen bed and two single beds and the living room has a sleeper sofa so you can comfortably sleep up to 8. The home is fully furnished -- all you bring is your clothes and food!
The beach access point is just across the street and from there you can walk miles of beach and or you can head back to town and explore the city. On those cold winter nights, you can curl up in front of the fire.
SunFlower House is convenient to virtually everything you'll want to do! Browse art galleries, antique and book stores, historic sites and museums. Espresso, ice cream, and candy shops - and a great bakery - all within easy walking distance!
Lincoln City boasts frequent community events, a factory outlet mall, and the Chinook Winds casino up at the northern end of town. We're just minutes to Devil's Lake State Park; deep sea, lake, and stream fishing; premier golf at Salishan and Chinook Winds, tennis, swimming; movies, theater, and varied entertainment. Lincoln City is known for its outstanding family and fine dining. One of our personal recommendations is the Wildflower Grill on the north end of town which overlooks a wetlands area.

We are pretty happy with the Sunflower House but there are a few points that deserve clarification. The house is close to the beach but separated by a set of stairs at least three stories high. This is not a casual walk for any but the very fit. Being a heart patient, I opted for driving three blocks to the public access point. Since we had to get in the car anyway, what was the point in being "close to the beach"? Likewise, walking to cafes, etc. is a bit of an exaggeration. There are a few eateries within walking distance (4 blocks or more) but just a few. Another confusing point was that all indications were that we could have a dog (we did not bring ours). When we got to the house we found a welcome basket for pets with food dishes, dog biscuits and a leash. But there is a sign in the kitchen saying "no pets allowed" owners have alleriges. What's that about? The first night, one of the kids pushed a button on the TV/DVD and we were unable to view TV or DVD after that. There are no instructions for the TV to help you solve the problem. We called the rental office and they said they would get back to us. So far, that hasn't happened. Otherwise, the house is comfortable and lives up to the description presented.Recommended for: Families with young children.

The Sun flower house was very nice, and working with Vacasa was very good to work with, and yes we will very much so go through Vacasa to rent a beach house again. Thank you very much. Since I wrote my review me and my family talked about this and we have started our plans to rent a beach house again, We loved it and it is a lot more privite then staying in a hotel. And yes we are going to go through Vacasa Rentals, they are very nice to work with, the house was very clean, it was just no hassles and no problems. Thank You very much Vacasa.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Cozy home and so close to the beach! We all really enjoyed our stay in the Sunflower House. My husband and my 5 children and myself all stayed comfortably in the home. The house is a block from the beach but the beach access is a very long set of stairs so going up and down can be uncomfortable (especially for our little kids!). However, only a few blocks south is vehicle beach access if stairs are an issue. The house itself is cozy, clean and well stocked for cooking (no coffee grinder, though!) The master bed has a pillow top and is extra, extra soft so would not be comfortable for anyone with back/neck issues. We really enjoyed our stay and thank the owners for opening up their home for rent! Note: There is no BBQ grill on site.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
