Come and stay in our quiet two bedroom modern lakefront cottage on north end of beautiful Chautauqua Lake with 100 feet of private lake frontage in wooded area on private road. Less than two miles to historic Chautauqua Institution, our cottage is great for your family.
Enjoy the peaceful setting and beautiful lake views as you dine or just relax on the 12 by 24 foot screened-in patio. Our private 80 foot dock with boat slip is great for tanning, fishing or taking a dip in the lake to cool off.
Large carpeted living area boasts a superb view of the lake. Bedrooms have hardwood floors. Lakeside has king-size bed and canal side has one twin and bunk beds. The lakeside campfire site is great for roasting marshmallows or just gathering with friends and family.
You are responsible for cleaning cottage before departure. We rent from Saturday to Saturday. Check in after 3:00 PM, check out before 11:00 AM. Linens and towels are not provided. Security deposit required. No pets, no smoking. One week minimum stay. You are responsible for cleaning cottage before departure. Located at 5868 Whitney Bay Rd. Mayville N.Y. 14757. Please obey 5 MPH speed limit posted on our private drive.
Please note I keep my personal boat there and I or my family may pass through to access our boat.

I’m an actual customer who stayed in this cottage August 11-18, 2012. I wanted a quiet, peaceful getaway just for myself, and I found it with this property. While not fancy or plush, it is clean, quiet, and has all of the essentials, including cable TV and Wi-Fi (which never failed and was easy to pick up on the porch). The property is as the listing says: a cottage, not a house, which means it’s not big. As pictured, the property is right on the water with a private dock. Seagulls, geese, and heron were regular visitors while I was there. The expansive lake view from the living room is the same as that from the screened porch. I particularly liked the porch, and there’s a table on it for dining. The king mattress slept well. We really enjoyed the cottage. It was very comfy and we felt right at home. We enjoyed the nice and quiet property, the screened-in porch with view on the lake and the long dock. It was also a pleasure dealing with the owner who was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who's looking for a great place to stay on Lake Chautauqua.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+.
