  Had a wonderful time staying here. Very close to the town of Bellaire which had wonderful shopping and restaurants and also to many outdoor activities. Would definately stay here in the future!

  The condo is very convenient for golfers. To our surprise, we had the whole week special rate from Schuss golf courses. The supermarket/laundry were near and with owner's club membership, we get to spend one afternoon in a private beach and other time in Lakeview hotel and Schuss outdoor pool. A nice memory for our first family travel in Northern Michigan.

  Owner response: I'm glad you enjoyed the golf at Shanty Creek Resort. They have some beautiful golf courses and some very reasonable rates for weekly guests. The beach club on Lake Bellaire and Hotel pools are great on a nice warm summer day. The fall colors in Northern Michigan are usually at peak around the first week in October if you would like to return for the great autumn splender. Thanks for staying with us. Tom

  Our weekend stay was perfectly described by the owner through email and phone. Once confirmed, owner sent info on getting into condo..phones numbers if we needed to contact anyone concerning the condo. The condo was just as the pictures showed..was very comfy and home like feeling, very spacious. We had a great view of the lake and New Years eve night great view of the fireworks display. Everything was right there in the room. This was our first time in this condo and would highly recommend it. We can't wait for the summer to go up and rent this again for a few days of golf.   Tom, My wife and I stayed at your place last weekend. It is very cozy, clean and comfortable, with a spectacular view of Lake Bellaire from its main window all ablaze in autumn's glorious colors. The resort and area blew away our expectations and was more than what you promised. We had a great time and would, and have already, recommended the place to others.   We stayed for a week in one of Tom's units, number being 678, the upstairs location! We really enjoyed the view from there and being able to have the windows open the better part of the time... If you enjoy golf or not you won't believe the views of the hills, flowers and the area in general, and the sunset too! A wonderful location in order to travel to Traverse City, Mackinaw City or other places! If you are a golfer the coures are just wonderful and plenty to choose from too!   we very much enjoyed our stay at Shanty Creek. Much of our time was spent boating at Torch Lake. Shanty Creek kept us busy during the rest of our vacation,the pool,whirlpool,basketball,and disc golf kept my teenage boys entertained.We were very pleased the the condo we stayed in.   We had a great time during our stay. We relaxed, went running, and took advantage of the beautiful view. We are not golfers, so we took a trip up the Leelanau Peninsula, spent a day in Elk Rapids, and used the private beach to relax in the sun. We highly recommend Fiske Farms for breakfast north of Elk Rapids, Siren Hall in Elk Rapids for lunch, and Dockside on Torch Lake for a drink. Kurt, Grand Rapids, MI

  This was our first time to Shanty Creek and the location was perfect - convenient to everything we wanted to do! Loved being able to walk to Summit slopes and hotel. Housekeeper Amy was extremely pleasant and helpful. Condo had all the necessities. We will visit again

  This was an excellent find! We absolutely loved it there and the view was fabulous.It was clean and very comfy. It was everything we expected and more. Thank you so much for the time away from home. Only regret was that we could not stay longer.

  Very neat & clean condo. We loved the short walk to Lakeview Lodge and use of warm outdoor pool and restaurant with a beautiful view. Limited cable channels but price was right.

  This was a great condo. Very clean and neat. Just perfect for the two of us. Shanty Creek is beautiful. The grounds were immaculate. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a nice getaway. Price was very reasonable and the owner was a pleasure to deal with.

  We absolutely fell in love with this condo. It was perfect. The view was incredible. We have stayed at the Lakeview Hotel many times, but this was so much better. We would stay here again without a second thought. Thanks for having such a beautiful rental.

  I stayed at extended stay condo at Shanty creek the first week in August (weekdays) and my family of four had a great time. It was easy to rent, my first time through the HomeAway website, and the owner called back right away. The condo was the right size for the four of us and had everything we needed to be comfortable --kitchen, balcony, table that seated 4, tv & dvd, comfy bed and pull-out couch. We had access to the beach and pools and a great view of lake Bellaire right from the window. I couldn't have asked for a better & more economical family get-away and would do it again.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

  Just finished a golf weekend with the boys and the condo was perfect for our needs. We were able to prepare meals with the galley kitchen and having the balcony was a great way to get some space and fresh air.Looking forward to another trip in the fall.

  Place was perfect for a relaxing ski mini-vacation. The shuttle to and from the Schuss and the Summit was great for the kids. The condo was clean and well decorated. Having a galley-style kitchen was all that we needed for a quick breakfast before heading-out for the day and for having a light dinner and snacks when we returned at night.We'll be coming back again soon.

  I've stayed other units in this complex and this is by far the best. Best use of space. Best view. Nicest furnishings. My family of four spent three nights here and never felt cramped. Owner is very easy to work with. Looking forward to renting from him again. Brian Grand Ledge, MI

  We just returned from a wonderful, quiet, and relaxing stay. The room was just as described and we had everything we needed. The kitchenette was great especially with always hungry teens. The kids enjoyed the pools and the view from the hotel was breathtaking. The Beach Club was also very nice. The area surrounding is gorgeous and the small towns near by were a lot of fun. We had a great time canoeing the Jordon River. A great place for a family to stay.

  This was our first time at Schuss Mountain and we truly enjoyed our visit. The location of the condo was perfect and very clean and the bed was very comfortable and all at a fair price. We were very pleased to be so close to Summit Village Resort when the roads got icy and we were not able to travel by car but were able to relax and have brunch. We hope to come back for another visit in the near future. Thank you so much!

  We had a great time at your condo at Shanty Creek! It was very clean and had a very comfortable bed. The area was beautiful! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool at the lodge. We also took a day trip to Mackinaw Island and had a great time. The condo was very central to many attractions. We went to Sleeping Bear Dunes one day and took a boat to Beaver Island the next day!   We enjoyed our stay at Shanty Creek so much last week. The condo was great and the colors were beautiful. We found the best pizza and brew at Shorts Brewing Co (SBC) in Belleaire. We definitely recommend this place and will plan on coming back again next year.
