Having lived in East Tennessee my entire life, I have been to several cabins in the Smoky Mountain area. I have to say this cabin was absolutely beautiful and the view.... It is INCREDIBLE! It is located in the quiet, serene Wears Valley area, and if you have GPS, it will take you the "back way" into Gatlinburg. This was breath taking as most of the time we were in the national forest. The amenities, such as hot tub (at the cabin), pool/hot tub (at the clubhouse), etc. are a definite plus. I will stay again for sure.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My sister and I wanted to find a place to get away for Christmas this year. We definitely picked a great cabin to stay at! Everyone loved Rocky Top Retreat. It was the perfect layout for our families. The game room area was a great hangout spot for the teenagers. The younger ones loved the loft bedroom and the teenage girls could retreat to the loft bedroom with the queen beds. The adults definitely enjoyed the hot tub! We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. This cabin is very clean (I'm picky about that) and the kitchen is well-equipped. You'll find most anything you need for cooking. The owners are very punctual in responding to any questions/needs you may have. You're within a short driving distance to Cades Cove and shopping/entertainment/restaurants in the Pigeon Forge area. Be sure to either walk or drive to the top of this development because the views from the pool and clubhouse area are spectacular.(The pictures we took there were great.) I recommend this cabin to you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

The view is beatuiful and it was close enough to everything but far enough away so that you feel like you are totaly in the mountains. Would recommed this cabin to everyone I know. Our stay at the cabin was the best,my daughter and her husband and kids from ny got there a night before we arrive. She called me and told me the inside of the cabin looked better then the pictures. She told me it is is really nice the view is on real. She also told me that the lights were left on for them i had told valrie that they were not going to be getting there until around 10.30 pm.the ref was filled with drinks soda milk and snacks. The kids just loved the rooms. My husband and i arrive the next night and yes i walked in and it took my breath away it was just so nice hot tub pool table ,kitchen was stocked with everything you needed.I enjoyed sitting out on the deck the next morning listening to the animals having my coffee,We went to caves cove which was very nice.the kids and yes the grown ups had a real nice day at the nascar race track riding the go carts and other rides. We left there and went back to the cabin to go swimming in the pool which someone was having a birthday party alot of people but everybody was friendly. At night we sat out on the deck and went into the hot tub which was really nice looking up at the stars even seen a small cub bear come out of the woods. The next day we went looking around and decide to get something to eat the apple wood grill the food is out of this world it is buffet all you can eat wasn't expensiveat all.Went back to the cabin the night before we were leaving and played pool and just relaxed and watch the views.thank you varlie and eric for the most wounderful time we had staying at your cabin everything was just wounderful everything was so clean and decorations all the bears i just loved.hope to stay at your cabin again next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our party had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was clean, and beautiful. We will likely return. The pool table, foosball, and hot tub were great additions. It was really nice to be away from the Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge hustle, and be so near to Cade's Cove and the National Park.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We are a family of four (2 children ages 17 & 11) We enjoyed our stay at Rocky Top Retreat the week of July 4th. Eric & Valerie has a beautifully decorated, roomy, very clean, cozy cabin. We brought with us sugar, salt/pepper, soap/washing powder, etc but didn't need to because Eric & Valerie had cabin stocked! There are 5 beds! (2 Master suites) The upstairs level was awesome for the children (Lots of room & TVs!) They also liked having their own bedroom. We enjoyed playing pool & foose ball. With owner's permission, we took our Wii and enjoyed playing on big TV!! The jacuzzi was enjoyed as well. Lines were very clean & towels fluffy & thick! We did not use hottub, but I'm sure other guests would like it. Even though cabins are close together, we still felt private. And the view from both floors was amazing!! At night when returning to cabin, motion detect security lights would welcome us so we could see. That was nice! This was our 3rd trip to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area and so this trip was more on the "relaxing" theme as we did Dollywood, Titanic, Wonderworks (great!), Dixie Stampede, and several other big ticket items the past two trips. This year we had a full day at Nascar Speedpark (great for money-$19.99 all day!) and we played a few mini golf courses. It was a scorcher with temps in 100s most of week, so we didn't sit on deck as we had hoped to do (too hot!) We did drive up to pool area a few times and due to being so hot was very crowded each time, but they still had fun! (Gate was broke, so we didn't have to remember code.) There is a Dollar General on Wears Valley road at bottom of mountain that we went to for food, etc. We had a very big ugly storm on the last day of our stay and so we had planned on going to Cade's Cove, but due to several trees down, it was closed off and we regrettfully didn't get to go. We had auto problems tha day before leaving (brakes went out during storm while traveling down mountain-rear seal) and rented a car with Affordable Car Rental in Pigeon Forge. They came & picked us up & charge was $40 for 24 hours! (Very reasonable compaired to most) Autozone ordered parts needed and they came in next morning and we were able to fix, but I called Eric to keep him informed and he was extremely caring; however, we were able to fix truck and were on the road before 12PM. I would definately recommend this cabin to others. ( I have several of my co-workers already!) Thanks again to Eric & Valerie for all your help.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
