My family has spent summers on Swans Island for over 50 years. Because our family's cottage is small, we have rented many island homes over the years for overflow. When we heard the Lofvings were renting their house, we jumped at the chance to stay there. Compared with many of the other homes we have rented on the Island, we found the Lofving house was carefully prepared and decorated to make a vacationer's stay comfortable. The house is bright and cheery with beautiful views of the harbor from the wonderful wrap around front porch, and the upstairs bedrooms. The Lofving house is located in the picturesque "village" of Burnt Coat Harbor. The Swans Island Tea Room is a short walk up the road, and the Light House is 1/4 of a mile walk in the other direction. The one small store on the Island and the lovely Fine Sand beach are both a quick drive away. If you want to "get away from it all" Swans Island is the place to go, and the Lofving house is one of the most special homes on the Island to spend your time in.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
