  Although mother nature did not cooperate (freezing temperatures) the property was very nice and the house cozy and warm. The house was very clean and as pictured on the website.

  My family and I called Joe at the last minute the night before Hurricane Isaac was due to storm our area. Fortunately, he assured me the house would be ready for us and our pets the next day. The place was cooled down when we arrived as promised. The pictures are spot on for all the views. The place was very clean and organized. We were worried about what to bring for no reason because the house was basically stocked and ready to go (even pet dishes!). The kids had no idea we were evacuating from a Hurricane. They thought we were on a vacation as we caught plenty of fish straight from the dock! Great place to stay...hopefully I can go there as a planned vacation next time. Thanks Joe for your hospitality!

  We enjoyed our time at the house very much. The place was spacious, very clean and had everything anyone would need. The views were great, very peaceful, and relaxing. The fishing was great, the paddle boat and swimming was fun. We will definitely be staying again soon. Thanks Joe for sharing your great place!

  This was the first time my family had been together like this! It was WONDERFUL! The house was perfect for our needs (3 couples) plus teens in and out. Very relaxing. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. neighbors were very kind. Very clean house. Not new but extremely well taken care of. The owner even adjusted his plans for us! There ws only one problem...we had to leave ;)

  We enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was comfortable, clean and close to the water with a nice boat launch. The large tree shaded lot was a major plus and the cove was just what my grandson needed to fish in almost 24 hrs per day. He caught lots of catfish we fried for our last nights dinner. We had a great time. Oh! and by the way, the teenagers loved to swim in the cove. Was just what we were looking for!

  My family and I stayed here for three nights at the end of May. Sometimes pictures are misleading, but what you see in the pictures is what you get when you arrive. The place was very quaint in my opinion...very peaceful and relaxing. There is a lot of board games for children. We fished most of the time and was too exhausted to play games, but that is nice to have for lil ones. The dock is great as well as the convenience of the boat launch. My grandson swam by the dock while we watched. Having the swim ladder on the deck was great too! My teenage daugher loved the paddle boat too! The place was great for us. I would maybe recommend tv's in the bedrooms. The only issue we had when we got there....was water sprinklers. Not aware that they were there nor on a timer, some of our stuff got wet before we unloaded. I emailed Joe, the owner, and he said I could shut them off, but we avoided them the remaining time we were there because I didn't want to break or fool with anything!**FYI..the sprinklers come on Mon, Wed, Fri at 6pm** Other than that little mishap, we had a great time. I would definately recommend this place to anyone. I look forward to coming back next year in March when the bass are spawing again bc they weren't biting too much this time. Thanks again for allowing us to experience Toledo Bend in your home. It was a pleasure:)

  We made the trip over to Toledo Bend for Memorial Day weekend 2012. The owner Joe was most helpful in making the arrangements and gave excellent directions! The place was very clean and had everything you could possible need. The place was plenty spacious as we had 4 people stay (my wife, myself, my parents and our dog). Whether you are going to fish or just relax this place is perfect. It's on a quite cove with it's on launch and dock and plenty of other ammenities to keep you and yor family busy! We had a great weekend and will defenitely remember this place in the future. Thanks Joe for the great place and great hospitality!

  My family stayed at this cottage over the Easter weekend and we had a wonderful time! The fishing was great, the kids had a blast on the paddle boat & swimming in the lake. The view is amazing, especially at sunrise & sunset. We caught ourselves waking up extra early just to catch it! The house was clean and well kept and the owners were very kind. We loved our stay and will be back again soon!
