Outstanding views from every location in this home. To the North you have the view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Vancouver Island beyond. To the South and West, the Olympic Mountains rise to beckon. To the East is a thick stand of tall timbered woodland.
There is abundant wildlife to observe; deer, eagles, hawks, etc. The eclectic garden beds and thoughtfully placed window boxes are planted to attract hummingbirds and butterflies. A treat for the eyes and noses of garden lovers.
The well appointed interior includes ceiling fans with remotes in all main rooms. A cozy fireplace graces the great room for those chilly evenings. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with a Country French flair with high quality mattresses.
Comfortable furnishings throughout will pamper those tired from a day of sightseeing.
There is also a 25' by 8' sunroom on the north side that provides views of the Strait, ship traffic and breathtaking sunsets.
All these amenities will provide you with that much needed escape

This is a wonderfully appointed home that we stayed in for five days quite comfortably. It is located between Port Angeles and Sequim. My wife and I stayed here with our adult daughter. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The main living space and master bedroom are upstairs, with living room and kitchen in a great room. Then the sun porch is off this room, looking north over the straight to Vancouver Island. The house is about a mile or two from the strait. We watched ships large and small ply the strait. A great place to read in the morning while sipping coffee. Mountain views to the south are limited by nearby trees…but we could see them ok. The kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked here all five nights…never ate out. Highlights include plenty of utensils, a convection oven, and a tap that provides instant hot water for coffee and tea. Plenty of basics have been left behind like spices and cooking oil. If you use something up, just replace it and leave it for the next guests. One thing I loved about the house is the lighting. I’m kind of sensitive to glaring lights. Nearly every switch in the house has a dimmer on it. The master bedroom has indirect lights on a dimmer embedded in the ceiling molding. The beds were comfortably firm with soft padding. We hiked every day in Olympic National Park and woke rested each morning. The wifi is strong and solid. Look for the password on the instructions near the TV. There’s a huge TV with DISH, but we didn’t come here to watch TV. The house is located at the end of a gravel lane. It’s very quiet. We had complete privacy. The only slightly odd thing is that the gardens portrayed in the photograph have been allowed to go to seed. I’m totally fine with an all-natural yard, and this place is out in the country a bit, but it’s strange that the plants have been allowed to completely take over the little paving-stone walk and wrought-iron bench directly in front of the home. It didn’t matter much to us. We were in the park all day and then inside the house for cooking and family time at night. There’s a two-car garage under the house which we didn’t use but it’s there if you need it. All-in-all, a comfortable, quiet, well-equipped, clean place to stay. Couldn’t give it a higher recommendation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
