Situated in a small commune of 4 properties, 2 with French owners, close to the pretty town of St. Sauveur Lendelin. The house consists of a main bedroom, children's bedroom or a 2nd adult bedroom and bathroom. On the ground floor is a kitchen diner with wood-burning stove and shower room. A spacious conservatory is at the rear of the house with open aspect to a 1-acre field and orchard.
Double glazed and electric heaters throughout.
A choice of 2 patios to enjoy the local wildlife. Many varieties of birds including flying displays by the local buzzards. Deer and red squirrels are seen in the area.
The D-day landing beaches are 1 hour away with WW2 museums at Caen, St. Mere Eglise, Arromanche and Bayeux ( home of the famous tapestry ). There are many magnificent cathedrals and churches within easy reach, such as Bayeux and Coutances.
Enjoy a typical Normandy lunch in many bar-restaurants or dine out in the evening and sample a wide range of local produce. We can recommend a range of restaurants to try. Normandy is famous for shell fish, cheese, cider and Eau de Vie.
Visit Le Mont Saint Michel or take a trip into Brittany, only 2 hours away.
There are many beaches to choose from, some only 20 minutes away. Try fishing for mussels, clams and cockles at low tide.
Please note on the availability calendar; sometimes changeover day looks unavailable, but this means that you can still stay until that morning. Our new guests won't be arriving until later in the day.

The house was as described in a nice location just outside the village, the owner is very kind and could not be more helpful.I would recommend this cottage to anybody who would like a holiday in Normandie. There are shops in the nearby village. The town of Coutances is about 20mins. drive away and has everything you would need. There are beautiful beaches about 30mins drive away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind words. A great couple who can stay anytime. Regards Gordon & Sandra

The property was very comfortable with a lovely garden in which to sit and sample the local vintage. It is well modernised and equipped while retaining it's french farmhouse atmosphere. The setting is very peaceful although only a few minutes from the village of St Sauveur. Our days out included trips to the seaside at Granville and to the historic towns of Bayeux, Coutances and St Lo. We also enjoyed many pleasant walks and meals in local restauraunts. I would certainly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for your comments. A charming couple who are welcome any time. Gordon &Sandra
