Red Rock Rocks!
Red Rock Rocks!
This is a beautiful home. It’s immaculate, spacious and comfortable. The area is serene. The night skies were great for star gazing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and watching the deer. It was out first time seeing Zion, Bryce and Kolob canyons – breathtaking! Sue is truly a gracious hostess: She arranged to have the lights on for us because we were arriving late, we were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine waiting for us as well and Sue was very helpful with giving us ideas on things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this home if you are looking to visit the area. You won’t be disappointed.

Owner response: It is because of wonderful people like you and your family that we enjoy opening up our cabin. The Duck Creek area has so much to offer and is centralized so that you can still have time to unwind, have a nice place to lay your head at night and get the rest you need for the next day of exploring. Many thanks for giving us such a "rocking" review.
This is an immaculate home in a breathtaking setting. We were able to drive to a different national park each day. Wildlife was abundant. The home is well-outfitted with comfortable furniture. Breakfast on the deck each morning was delightful, and it was beautiful to see the sun rise over the mountains. We appreciated the individual heating units in each bedroom on cool nights. Sue is very gracious and helpful.

Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed the cabin. I have to agree the setting is fabulous..although I have to admit I'm not a morning person so I haven't seen the sun rise. Good for you to get early starts with breakfasts on the deck and then to venture off to visit all the National Parks nearby. We like the individual room heaters as well. It's nice to have the control to meet your personal needs. Many thanks for choosing the Red Rock Retreat as your vacation spot!
perfect cabin in the woods
perfect cabin in the woods
This cozy, well equipt cabin was perfect for our family of five. Very clean, beautiful setting in the woods. loved the outdoor deck that surrounds the cabin. Indoor fireplace was so inviting on the rainy night we had. Outdoor firepit, incredible at night while star gazing and of course smores! The road leading up to the cabin is a bit steep.Take that into consideration especially if there is rain. So much to do in the area as well as a good base to venture to bryce canyon and other fantastic natural wonders. strawberry valley will not disappoint,it's a slice of heaven.

Owner response: Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at our cabin. We always appreciate and enjoy the feedback. Our goal is to maintain the cabin in mint condition so that everyone who visits will enjoy it. There is so much to do in the Duck Creek area but to be able to relax by a nice fire either inside or outside is the epitome of being in the mountains. We are so glad that you and your family were able to visit and see the hoodoo's of Bryce Canyon. It is such a gorgeous place. Thank you so much for choosing to stay at the Red Rock Retreat!

Awesome House; Great people to deal with, no hidden problems. Everything we needed was provided. It is a beautiful home with great views. The family had a wonderful time. We rented ATV's at Bryce Canyon and it was the highlight of the trip; best family day we had in a long time! I would highly recommend this house for any future travelers. The cabin was better than the pictures shown on the website.

A super special place! Good time to travel after all the summer travelers headed home. We were hoping to see some color but the leaves were just about to start turning. We enjoyed the cabin and all the many sights surrounding this area. It was so nice to sit on the decks with our morning coffee and at night gaze at the beautiful night skies. The cabin was so beautiful and comfortable. It had every modern convenience. Jen especially liked the jetted tub especially after walking all day long. Kuddos to you for every special touch that went into making this a fun place to call home for the time we were here.

What a special place!
You never know what you are going to get when you book online but my family and I were ecstatic when we arrived at this beautiful cabin! It couldn't have been any better..the weather was beautiful and the air crisp. What a way to start our summer vacation! We were spoiled by this beautiful cabin and all its modern conveniences. The beds were comfortable and each room had its own heater for you to control. Not stuffy like other places we have stayed. The kids had a great time in the play room. We hated to leave this wonderful place and will be back!

Sue and Gene, Your cabin was much more than we had expected. Your directions were right on. The area is so quiet and secluded but very easy access. Everything was so new and clean. The way the cabin was laid out was so perfect for the kids and Paul and I. The kids moved into the downstairs and we never saw them until it was time to eat. They played games and watched movies in the game room at night and climbed the mountains and the hills during the day. They slept really well too! It was very centralized to the many beautiful national parks. We really enjoyed the firepit especially the view of the moonlit sky. Thank you so much for the heads-up places to visit. Of course, we couldn't see them all. But you know what that means, we will just have to come back! Many Thanks, Paul and Sandi

About the owner: Gene and I are retired from the construction business. We take pride in building custom installations. Since retiring we have enjoyed travelling and being with our children and four grandsons. We enjoy bringing the boys to Duck Creek so they can learn to respect nature and enjoy the beauty of the Southern Utah Mountains. They love to come here to ride their ATV's through the beautiful forests and to travel parts of the mountains you can not do by foot. Our favorite time of year is Christmas when the family comes to experience the winter holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We have travelled extensively and still think this is the most beautiful place on earth!
Why the Owner Chose Duck Creek Village:
We started coming to Duck Creek in 1987. We would leave late Friday evenings after work stay in the lodge for long weekends. We loved the quiet of the mountains and began looking to build a cabin somewhere between California and Utah. Nothing compared to the beauty of Southern Utah. The colorful country just made this a special place. In 1990 we built our 1st cabin and haven't looked back since!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Red Rock Resort is a special place. It is out of the bustle of the village. Because of the way the cabin is situated, you can sit on the deck and listen to the wind blowing through the trees, watch the birds flying against the beautiful blue sky and enjoy the smell of the pine trees above and below the cabin. Or you can plan day trips to the many National Parks or scenic byways. Then again this is the greatest place to relax and do nothing.
