This is a lovely, clean, comfortable little cottage near two beautiful beaches, Four Seas Icecream and the famous Centerville Pie Company. The ability to take our dog with us made it even more enjoyable. The owner is responsive, kind and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The cottage is very small and on a busy road. It's not the best place for kids or dogs. One of the twin beds is a cot and is not comfortable. The air conditioning cools the living room and one of the bedrooms. However, the bedroom with the twin beds was stuffy and hot. The one bathroom is centrally located and lacks privacy - you can see through the split door. Having 6 adults in the space would be very tight. The kitchen table seats 3. The owners were not present to let us into the cottage at the specified time. The kitchen has plastic plates and bowls that are not sturdy. There is no dishwasher. Also, the price is $100 more than advertised since $100 of the deposit is to pay for obligatory house cleaning. Needless to say, we will not go back. The beaches in the Centerville area are great, particularly Craigville Beach. The cottage comes with a beach pass.Owner response: Well this renter had bounced a check and we didn't receive payment until the very last minute. When the renters arrived they were let into the cottage within 10 minutes since we live next door and my wife let them in when they arrived. This renter had about 12 people staying in a cottage that is advertised for 6. The $100 cleaning fee was clearly communicated to them and was on the lease agreement they signed prior to renting the cottage. This renter is upset because they left the property and took the beach parking pass with them and this put us in a less than idea situation with the new renter that arrived for the following week. Needless to say I would not rent to this person or their family again since they were very disrespectful to my property.

My 3-year-old daughter enjoyed herself so much, she referred to this place as 'the fun house'. It was great to have a nice, renovated kitchen, but the weather was so beautiful we ate out on the patio whenever we dined in. Having the beach pass was a plus, and being in walking distance to a playground was perfect for us. The owner was great. He gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations, and when we called and asked him for a lobster pot, he brought one right over. Not really a far drive to anywhere on The Cape. We drove 20 minutes to Heritage Museums and Gardens, and it was amazing. Perfect house for a family of 3 or 4.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

About the owner: We moved to the Cape about 4 years ago and we love it. few years later we purchased a cottage that was poorly maintained and recently completed a complete renovation. The Cape is the most relaxing place. We are close to fresh and salt water beaches. You will enjoy your time here.
Why the Owner Chose Centerville:
This property has just been completely renovated, new everything including furniture, kitchen, etc. It's a great place and you will feel at home. It's 4 miles or a $10 cab ride to shopping and may great restaurants on Main Street in Hyannis Center. There is a Bus Stop about 30 yards from the front door that will take you to Hyannis or many other Cape destinations. Best Sushi anywhere I have found to date, Seafood like no place in the Country and great traditional American, Italian and Mexican. There is an active nightlife with many nighttime entertainment options.
