Peaceful and Relaxing: The LakeView Cottage is available for you to relax from the daily grind. Upon arrival you will immediately feel tensions release as a gentle breeze sweeps away your worry. Silver Lake is 2 by 3 miles and noted as one of the cleanest lakes in the area.There's a boat landing a quarter mile from the house on our street. The lake is stocked with trout, small and large mouth bass, land locked salmon and more. The kids can fish from the pier at the beach. The view of Mount Chocurua and the Sandwich Mountain range is breathtaking and sunset is spectacular. If you are looking for day trips, there is Lost River, The Flume, hikes along the Kancamangus Highway, the alpine and waterslides at Attitash, StoryLand, Santa's Village or a trip to the elegant Mount Washington Hotel. There is shopping for everyone and restaurants for all tastes. It is all here for you to enjoy or sit by and just relax

My husband and two teenage children spent one week at the Braga Cottage. We absolutely loved the cottage. It was equipped with all the amenities of home, and ambience of the decor was so calming. My teenage son especially enjoyed the loft with the big screen TV and turned it in to his own little bachelor pad. Kudos to the Bragas! We loved the tranquillity of Silver Lake and enjoyed several days sitting at the small public beach which is located only steps from the Cottage. The lake is pristine. We held campfires every night and my son and husband enjoyed fishing from canoe. The Cottage is situated only 30 minutes from North Conway, so we able to take in a few days of shopping and enjoyed a diner train ride on the North Conway Steam Train. We could not have asked for a better vacation. The cottage was pristine and everything we needed was there. The screen porch was perfect and we enjoyed dinners with candlelight, sunsets, and just sitting and relaxing after long kayak tours of the lake. (It is a perfectly clear lake, with several islands, and on our last day we discovered the river that feeds the lake. Water was great for swimming.) The cottage is across the street from the lake but is situated in such a way that you see the lake, the mountains, and the sunset from the living room/dining area, screen porch, and front porch. It is just a very short walk to the lake and we had no problem carrying our kayak down each day. We found lots of trails that we hope to explore on a future visit. ....and extra bonus....loads of wild blueberries. My husband and I along with our 4 boys were looking forward to coming to Silver Lake, they had seen the pictures on line and were excited. They couldn't wait to get out of the car to check it out, it was everything the pictures showed and more. There was plenty of room for all of us, the boys ages 12-20 claimed the loft area as theirs for the week and we claimed the one bedroom. The boys especially enjoyed the bikes, canoe, going to the beach, fishing right down the road and in the lake. We ate on the porch most evenings by candlelight, had several fires in the fire pit. I enjoyed just walking each morning and enjoying the quiet of the woods. The owners were very helpful and hospitable from the moment I inquired about the availability of the property and continued that sense of hospitality right through our week and even after we returned home. The cottage is close enough to other areas to visit, but removed enough to feel like you are away from the cares of the world. The boys asked if we could come back even before the week was over, that says alot for teenage/college age boys!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We stayed at this cabin for a week in June 2011. It was a fantastic experience. The owners made sure the cabin was is great shape - clean, beautifully decorated, and fully appointed with all the little things that made it feel like home - bikes, cribbage board, dishes, you name it. Location is close to the town beach which is very beautiful and restricted to residents. Having a canoe available was also fun.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We went up to NH with our 2 dogs for some peace and quiet. The location was perfect. The house was absolutely immaculate upon our arrival. We especially enjoyed the firepit in the evenings. It was rustic and as if time didn't matter. We relaxed completely and our dogs enjoyed long walks everyday. There were wonderful restaurants in the area. We especially liked Cafe Noche in No. Conway great food and better Margarita's. We received our deposit check back in 1 week with a nice note from the owners. Can't wait to go again!!!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We did not get our security deposit back! The owner initially sent me back our security deposit, along with a nice note about how well we had cleaned the house upon our departure. Unfortunately, I lost the check. I apologized for losing it and said I was willing to pay a "stop check" fee (or even an 'inconvenience" fee) if she would replace the check. After MONTHS of emails, phone calls, and a letter, I have not received a replacement check. She won't acknowledge or answer any of my correspondence after initially agreeing to replace the check. This is just plain wrong. We left the house in excellent condition and we deserved to get that money back.
