My boyfriend and I booked this house for a long weekend getaway. I did have to email the day before our arrival to get the promised "entry" information for the house, but other than that everything was very well managed by the rental company with this property and they gave excellent details about what would and would not be included (toilet paper, etc.) The house is not by any means new/updated - but true to what you see in the pictures and they've added a lot of nice touches for renters like labeling the remotes so you know which is for power, which changes the channel, etc. Didn't use the TV in the master bedroom but it was VERY small (I jokingly referred to it as a computer screen). They also labeled the towels clearly in the linen closest, another nice touch. Hot tub was great for a winter getaway, and with fence around this in the backyard still felt very private even though there are other houses right nearby. Easy drive to New Buffalo, St. Joe and all the other great cities with wonderful food, and shopping. And an easy walk to the private beach access (it is certainly small, I think it said 60 feet wide access for the neighborhood outside of that small stretch it's private beach) and I really wouldn't want to walk that distance carrying beach chairs, coolers etc. and there is nowhere to park down at the beach access - just fyi if you are planning a warm weather getaway here. We would definitely rent again though for a weekend getaway - comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and lots of space.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at Sunnyside cottage for two nights in October 2012. We loved the bright colors, inside and out, the big front porch and especially the hot tub out back. It was a quick walk to the beach and the beach was beautiful and hardly anyone on it. Since we had my three younger boys with us, we especially liked the playset and the game area which kept all of us busy. My opinion of the listing that we saw, was exactly what we got. Everything was very clean and I am pretty picky about that kind of thing. I was very impressed with John from Blue Fish Vacations. We had a problem with the T.V. in the master bedroom and he was out to the house within 10-15 minutes and took care of it immediately. We loved Roadhouse and Casey's in New Buffalo for eating and I got my latte fix at Whistle Stop Grocery. We are planning on this being an annual event for us and we would definitely go back to this cottage. It had everything we needed, including sand toys, beach chairs....etc. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time. The house is so full of daylight and color! It was a short walk to the beach and an easy access to Red Arrow Highway and the Harbor County towns. We had beautiful warm days and cool nights. The house has everything you might need. The hot tub was a plus. And the large front deck is perfect for sitting with a book in the afternoon. Fires at the beach stretched our already full days of fun even longer. I recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The accommodations were perfect for our family of four to enjoy a week away. The three bedrooms and two baths gave us a little extra room, the outdoor shower was divine (I don't think we used the indoor shower more than once!) and the short walk to the beach was just right! There were towels, toys and plenty of cookware for our stay. Our four-year-old keeps asking when we're going back to "the blue house." Hopefully, sooner rather than later! Thank you for providing a cozy cottage to make some memories....Recommended for: Families with young children.

This was our first time staying at the house and actually our first vacation rental ever. We had 4 adults, 2 children and an infant. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean and stocked with anything you might need. The beach toys and towels came in very handy. The house is set up very well, and the front deck is great for grilling and relaxing after some time at the beach. We ate breakfast out there almost every day. The beach access is close by and the walk is easy. The day that rain was in the forecast, we drove about 90 minutes to downtown Chicago and the nearby towns and antique stores are great ways to fill time between beach excursions. We highly recommend the property and we can't wait to come back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We have stayed at this cottage several times in three different seasons. We love the close walk to the beach any time of the year and the coziness and cleanliness of this charming cottage. We enjoy the fireplace for cooler nights, the yard space, the deck for reading, conversation and grilling, and nearby shopping and restaurants. A perfect little get-away.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
