  The apartment was as clean and nice as shown in the ad. Ms Pam was very flexible and helpful. The neighbourhood was clean and quiet. Both WiFi and the TV worked well. On arrival were we welcomed by our hostess Ms Pam who was waiting for us outside the house and helped us with our luggage, we felt really welcome. There were some nice cafeterias and restaurants in the neighbourhood. It was very easy to get around, a short walk to the subway at Nostrand from where the subways took us all over NY. We explored both Manhattan and the other four boroughs of NY. As we like to walk we were happy to be able to walk to a lot of places of interest in the neighbourhood. The buses were very useful too. We stayed for 10 nights and it really felt like home in the hustle and bustle of NY.

  The flat is cosy and clean, situated at the top floor of an old Brooklyn house. It only takes 5 mins on foot to get to Nostrand avenue subway station, which is 3 stops away from High Street and Brooklyn Bridge. In less than 20 mins you are in Manhattan. If you need to stay in the neighbourhood, there are dozens of groceries, supermarkets, fast food and take away restaurants. We were there when Hurricane Sandy hit, and could easily get all the food we needed to stock our fridge. The owner, Ms Pam, is a lovely lady and provided us with any possible care. Before the Hurricane, she installed a special antenna that would not blow away to prevent us from being cut off with no news reports. During the Hurricane, she kept texting us to make sure we were safe and dry. And when we left she even accompanied us to the station and asked the right tickets for us to get to the airport light-heartedly. The neighbour too, Mr William, was extremely kind and helpful, helping out carrying our suitcases and giving us a lift to the station. Excellet place and excellent people, then. Even in emergency situations!

  This little gem is the best value for money. My partner and I spent over 3 weeks and loved every minute of it. There is everything you need here from kitchen appliances and utensils to clean towels and extra coat hangers.The wifi is fast and never had any problems with it. Within close walking distance is cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, coin laundry and retail shopping. The subway is 4 or 5 blocks away and is a safe walk, even at night we always felt safe. The street is quiet but not secluded. We didn't have any trouble at all during our stay. I loved the decor of the apartment. It is simple yet welcoming and uncluttered. It is very clean and the lounge/kitchen is light filled of a day. The only slight negative would be the small bathroom but you don't stay in New York to spend time in the bathroom. The shower/ tub is a decent size though and the water pressure is good. Ms. Pam is lovely and dropped in a few times to make sure we were settling in ok and provided us with tourist brochures etc. All in all I highly recommend this property and have already done so to family and friends.

  I had a wonderful time. Ms. Pam your the best. The apartment is close to everything. It was nice and clean. Everything I needed was available to me. I will definitely be back. Thanks for all your help and guidance. When I got lost in Manhattan you took the time to make sure I was OK and directed me back to a sate area where I got the train and followed your direction and I got to my destination. I have stayed at other really nice places buy yours top them all. The location is really good its close to everything the bus and train. The grocery store was around the corner and they had some real good sales. The Cafe up the block had people from all around just sitting and talking and having a really good time. Your kindness and knowledge of NYC was much more than what I expected. I felt right at home. I had a great time and I will be back. I recommend Ms. Pam's place if your looking to have a good time at a nice clean safe place this is it. All the best Cynthia Jackson

  The owner was very quick on answering any calls or emails I had prior to arriving. This was a present from Santa. The owner had bought a Christmas tree and had the place decorated for us. Instead of getting a Metro giftcard she had a beautful gift basket for us and the cabinets was full of snacks in addition to the refrig. juices/pop. She called and checked on us during our stay. The area is safe because she has someone watching the neighborhood. That same person helped us get out from being stuck in the snow at 1 a.m.! Since we were snowed in one day there was no DVD and the t.v. only picked up 1-2 channels. It is within walking distance to the subway. I would recommend staying here in a minute!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
