Many other areas are within 20 minutes, such as downtown San Diego and the Gaslamp District, Old Town, Hillcrest area, Coronado and the world famous Hotel del Coronado. Cabrillo National Monument, Point Loma, San Diego Harbor, Sea World (5 minutes), the world famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park are additional options for entertainment. This house was the PERFECT place for a getaway with friends. The pool/hot tub are unparalleled, and the poolside 1300 sq ft cabana game room provides fun for everyone! The house itself is spacious, and there arebathrooms for every bedroom (great for groups). The kitchen iswell-stocked and the grill is right outside the door for easy access. This is a true dream house with a backyard you won't want to leave. The location is hard to beat as well. It truly is paradise.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I have rented from VRBO around ten times and this house by far was the most disappointing. I arrived a day late due to unforeseen cercumstances and found the owner and his children still there eating and hanging around. He said he was cleaning up. This was at 2 PM. I returned about 6 and he and his children were still there which was rather annoying. The house was rather dirty and could use a cleaning and vacuuming to say the least. The pool was nice but the cabana area was also rather filthy. I understand he is new to the rental game but if he wants a premium price for his house it will have to be much cleaner than he has it now.Owner response: Thank you for your feedback, Gary. Most importantly, we would like to express our sincere apologies that you weren't 100% satisfied with your stay, as this is always our goal with any guest. We would like to assure you -- and future guests -- that the home is fully cleaned before and after each stay. We spoke with the owner of this home regarding the issues you have brought up, and he did offer his apologies that the home was not prepared for your arrival for this particular reservation. As you alluded to, he is a new owner to the rental market and is working out a few snags in preparing the home for travelers -- however, he has now put in place a cleaning schedule and we have mitigated these types of problems in the future. As we understand, the owner attempted to smooth things over by bringing over some wine and fresh fruit, though we understand this doesn't fully make up for the hassle. Though our response does not change your experience at the home, we hope that it is comforting to know that we have addressed any issues for future guests.
