My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Red Barn. The owners were very accommodating. We had everything we needed. The house was newer, clean with farmhouse decor that was just adorable. Our 4, 7 and 9 year old kids LOVED the game tables and bunk beds. They would have been happy just to stay at the house everyday instead of sightseeing. There was so much to do in the area we wished we could have stayed longer. The property was beautiful with hiking trails and pastures. My sister really enjoyed watching the horses and Scottish cows. I would highly recommend staying here. The only thing I would note is that there is no bathtub which could be bothersome to families with very small children. Our 4 year old normally takes baths but had no problem with the shower. Also, if staying with a large group, having one bathroom could be a little inconvenient at times. Great memories made at the Red Barn! Staying here really made our trip special. Thanks again to Alan, Lisa and the family!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

My family and I just got back from staying at the Red Barn at Cobblestone Farm and can't say enough about the wonderful time we had there. It is conviently located near Hendersonville and within 1/2 our of Asheville, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and many other great areas. Our kids 4 and 6 loved the big driveway where they could ride their bikes, play baskeball, play on the playset, etc. Every evening the horses would come to the edge of the fence near the house and the kids loved seeing and petting them. Lisa and her family couldn't have been better hosts. They were very helpful and friendly and we felt more like we were visting friends then renting a property. In the evenings we would light a fire in the fire pit and the kids would make smores and then after the kids were in bed my husband and I would sit by the fire and enjoy the peaceful night with just the sounds of nature to keep us company. We can't wait to go back!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

Owner info
About the owner: My husband and I both grew up in Western North Carolina. We love these mountains we call home. . We are avid outdoor enthusiasts!! Most of the time we are either traveling up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway or on one of the winding country roads on our road bikes or hitting the thousands of acres of trails on our mountain bikes. We also enjoy taking in one of our other favorite activities...fishing. Whether we are wading in with our fly rods on one of our many pristine mountain streams or floating down one of the many awesome rivers we are never disappointed. On our farm we have a small herd of Scottish Highland Cattle as well as a few horses and of course our dogs. We love our area and our farm so much that we felt like we should share it with others who would like to experience a taste of what we live with and are blessed with everyday!!
The Unique Benefits at this Barn:
When staying on our farm you will enjoy a unique relaxing setting where you will feel far away even though you are only minutes away from activities, exceptional dining and of course all the mountains have to offer.
