  This is a wonderful apartment. The location is perfect and the description of the property is exact. It is spotless and very comfortable. The owner provides excellent customer service from using appliances in the apartment to local restaurants, grocery shops and transport locations. I would recommend this home without hesitation and would stay there again.

  This apartment was an excellent base for our family trip to the beautiful city of Venice. The location is ideal as it is near all amenties and away from the busiest of areas. We travelled at Easter and found it an ideal spot with 2 young children. The apartment was clean and just as described in the listing. All communications were good and we were welcomed very warmly upon our arrival. The supermarket around the corner was very good and it really helped us to keep down the cost of our stay. The only downside was that the views from the front windows were disappointing and the benches in front of the apartment seem to be an area where people gathered which could be a problem in the warmer weather, although it didn't disturb our stay at all. Our 5 and 9 year olds loved the Venice experience. It felt very safe and they liked all aspects of our 7 day stay, especially the ice-cream. There are a couple of swing parks for a break from the museums and galleries, the best one we found was in the Biennale area. Although it is expensive we would recommend getting a bus boat ticket for a few days as the children really enjoyed it and it's worth a trip to the Lido and other islands. Especially worth going up the campinale on San Giorgio, rather then the San Marco campinale - cheaper, no queue and better view.

  We've been traveling to Venice for many years and it was only on this trip that we learned that this location allows you catch an actual Taxi Cab with wheels to get to the airport. The apartment itself is great. The neighborhood is very nice and close to Vaperetto stop ( San Basilio) ...the Maritime Terminal and an easy walk through the Dorsoduro neighborhood to the Grand Canal. Lastly, no one could be a better Hostess for a visit to Venice than the Owner, Brittany Hymore !!! We'll definantely be back.

  We are so thrilled that we chose NOT to stay in San Marco with the hordes of people! Completely enamoured with Dorsoduro and this quiet, convenient apartment. We were met on arrival by Klaudia who is a supermodel-gorgeous young lady who speaks many languages. She went over everything - very thorough and so sweet. Everything was clean and well maintained. The apartment has everything you need, and, they have thoughtfully provided everything from laundry detergent to toilet paper (which has definitely not been the case everywhere). Also, there's a freezer, just in case you buy the 1 kilo brick of gelato at Grom and can't finish it. A quiet street, we loved walking down the Zattere when we wanted to see more people, and, being a short distance to the Accademia bridge if we wanted crowds. Excellent dining around the corner at Pane Vino e San Daniele on Campo dell'Angelo Raffaele. Would readily recommend this property to anyone visiting Venice. Thanks for a perfect stay in this beautiful city!

  We loved your apartment. It was quiet and private, perfectly laid out, and well set up for a family. Klaudia was very helpful to us in showing us around and in suggesting the restaurant essentially behind the apartment, Pane Vino. We ate there twice because we liked it so much and the waiters were understanding of our limited Italian. We also ate in another place you recommended, La Bitta. It too was delicious, though we didn't have reservations and had to eat inside which was pretty hot. Still, the owner was friendly and engaging. Thanks so much for a great stay.

  We just wanted to write to you to say how much we enjoyed staying in your apartment last week. It was a fantastic location, quiet but close to everything we needed. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Everything had clear instructions and Klaudia was charming and explained everything we needed to know (particularly where the best ice creams could be found!) Thank you, and I hope we will return to beautiful Venice again soon and stay back in St Basilio. England

  Brittany We never had a chance to meet you while we were in venice, but I just wanted to write and say what a wonderful experience we had at the sunny san basilio from august 13th to 17th. The apartment was perfect, cool enough in the evenings despite hot days, and very comfortable. Everything was super clean and we felt perfectly at home.   "Venice like a Venetian" Never before had I enjoyed Venice this much (I've been there 3 or 4 times). And the main reason for it, I think, was that we stayed in this apartment. It allowed us to see Venice - "from the inside" - live in a real Venetian neighborhood (Zattere / Dorsoduro). We loved it! was great. The apartment was all we expected and was actually a bit more spacious than we imagined - with plenty storage room and very smartly decorated - brilliant use of not expensive solutions combined with some "stylish" deco objects. The neighborhood caught our heart - there are terraces and restaurants nearby - but you don't feel in a touristy area - in the afternoon they're full of locals (students, families), in the mornings you can see the grandpa's and grandma's strolling by with their grandchildren. Brittany gave us great tips, like taking the gondola- traghetto where and as the venetians really do, or good addresses in less well-known plazas where the locals get together after work. We would visit the big attractions early in the morning and after lunch we would retire to our neighborhood and mingle with the locals. My husband and I traveled in March 2012 - weather was great- and it was an incredible experience for both of us.

  In a nice area (without tourists:) near to the sea and with nice restaurants, you find this calm apartement and a also a flat next to it with a good kitchen and everything you need, to stay in Venice. The description is accurate and its clean and well prepared and the owner and their assistant are very kind and helpfull for every question! And they also give a special list with good restaurants - we tried some and it was marvellous. Thank you for the kindness :)
