Norway cottage description
Antique lakefront family camp built in the 1890's with a master bedroom with private porch and bath added in 2001. The property is a unique blend of old and new nestled among tall white and Norway pines along the shoreline. There is a small private beach and dock.
We are only the second owner in 120 years. There have been many family memories made through the generations. We have decided to share our camp so others may create their own memories at this beautiful location. With kids in college the camp would be lonely otherwise. The next generation will be here before we know it.

Wonderful Vacation home
Wonderful Vacation home
My family enjoyed this home so much. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is so quaint it's a classic Maine Camp with all the extra's washer, dryer, dishwasher. The porch was my favorite spot our whole vacation. We sat and drank our coffee and listened to the loons each morning. The beach, dock, canoe and row boat were an added extra. We spent a lot of time on the lake and we caught lots of fish. We also rented a pontoon for the local marina and they were nice enough to deliver the boat to us and pick it up. My mom stayed with us and she's 77 and bathrooms had handles for getting in and out of shower and tub. The owner was so helpful and easy to work with. We would rent this home again. Very relaxing fun filled vacation.

About the owner: I grew up summers on a lake in the Adirondacks. When my profession brought me to Maine it was a logical choice to have a camp for my kids to share the experience. Their roots in Maine go back many generations.
Why the Owner Chose Norway:
My father selected it based on the beauty and uniqueness of the camp and the convenience of nearby shopping, culture and medical care.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
We've enjoyed the quiet seclusion mixed with the opportunity to ski, swim, fish, golf and enjoy the local summer cultural events. There is a nearby raceway (Oxford Plains) and soon to open casino in Oxford. Need a smaller place or additional space, ask about the camp next door.
