  Imagine our surprise at finding the gem of an estate at the end of a long winding road through the Italian woods. With breathtaking views and complete isolation one can easily transport themsleves back to another time. To experience a true Tuscan vacation this is the place to stay. No tourist crowds, plenty of open space for the atheles among you and the amazing town of Anghiari below you. A superbly redone villa that provides all the creature comforts and more for your indoor activities. The Villa is centrally located so you are in easy reach of Rome, Florence and the beach. Our family had an amazing time here and will be back to soak up the riches that Tuscany has to offer.

  >> From our initial contact with Cheryl, she was amazingly informative and helpful. She answered questions, and had insightful tips and suggestions for great food and attractions. She seemed genuinely interested in helping to mold an unforgettable visit to Tuscany. Anghiari is an ancient fort town built on cobblestone streets, which remains relatively untainted by the tourists which overrun many of the larger cities in Italy. During our two week stay, we explored many of it's treasures, including delicious hilltop restaurants, antique stores, tiny gelato shops and the weekly market. But our favorite activity of all was wandering the streets inside the fort....where laundry lines hang above winding roads that lead everywhere and nowhere. The ancient romance of the town is undeniable. The owners of the villa have devised a seamless system for getting to, and getting acquainted with the property. After meeting Ben (the caretaker), in the town center, we trailed him around the the perimeter of town, up the hill and through the woods, to a clearing which reveals this spectacular villa. He walked us through the breathtaking home, explaining the ins and outs of the residence, and answering our questions. The villa itself, is even more spectacular than the photos convey. The grandeur and beauty of the emense rooms, multiple massive stone fireplaces, exposed wooden beams, shutters and doors, have been meticulously restored to ensure the original integrity of the property. However, the home is equipped with every modern amenity you could imagine. It's a splendid mix of 'grand old' and 'quality new', which makes for a very comfortable stay. The views from the pool and various outdoor seating areas are spectacular. The patch-work of the Tuscan hills are peppered with neighboring villas and occasionally even small packs of boar! Ever enchanting, you can't help but realize that you are experiencing a very special, unique place and moment. We made several day trips to nearby towns including Arrezo, Lipiano and Florence..each enhancing our love for the region. On a whim, we even made the five hour drive and overnighted in Nice...visiting Monaco on the way back. Overall, our experience at this property surpassed any hopes or expectations that we had. From start to finish, the logistics, the accomadations, and the area, were fantastic and made for a vacation never to be forgotten.

  My wife, two children, and I spent seven days in this beautiful home and a perfect Tuscan setting. The house and surroundings are so picture perfect it felt like a movie set, every morning we woke up just excited to be in the house and view the surrounding hill tops of the beautiful Tuscan landscape.The house was delightful having been recently renovated everything was in perfect condition and yet you felt you were in a Tuscan farm house. All the modern comforts but in a Tuscan farmhouse. Anghiari the nearby town is a postcard ancient Tuscan town with great food and restaurants and local flavor. It was a pleasure to visit Anghiari almost every day on our way to other destinations. The house and town is situated centrally in Tuscany so you can easily drive to all the main cities and towns of the region like Siena, Florence, and San Gimigano all within an hours drive. It was a great family trip and the house an area were just perfect!

  Both this house and location are fantastic! My family and I spent a wonderful week here last year and enjoyed many trips to nearby Florence, Pisa and the beautiful town of Arezzo. Nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, the house is an oasis away from the craziness of life, yet offers all the modern conveniences that are so difficult to live without—Wi-Fi, TV, a full kitchen, not to mention the outdoor pool that the kids loved to play in! Each bedroom had an en suite with two additional half-baths- plenty of room for a large family. It was obvious that the owners lovingly restored the building to its former glory; the outdoor area was quiet and the views beautiful. We spent many a fun evening just simply hanging out with the entire family. When we felt like venturing off the property, we made our way to the beautiful medieval village of Anghiari. All-in-all, this wonderful house contributed to one of our most memorable family vacations ever! I would highly recommend it and have my heart set on returning there again sometime in the future!

  We met the caretaker Ben in Garibaldi Square in the Medieval city of Anghiara which was in itself quite a spectacular city. Ben then took us out of town along beautiful windy roads with views of Anghiara to a private road past vineyards & olive trees to our destination. The house was, as my husband said" like a movie set". We wandered through the two floors being more amazed at every room & the views, oh the views, you couldn't ask for better views. The photos on the website don't even come close to how fabulous the house is. There are all sorts of fruit trees on the property, lavender plants & rosemary surrounding the house, & trails through the woods. The owners have thought of everything to make our stay pleasant, books on Tuscany, recommendations of where to eat, maps, WiFi, TV with English translations of Italian shows, some food in the cupboard for late arrivals, which we were glad to have. You name it & they have provided it. As I said before a little bit of heaven!
