My stay at the cabin was absolutely wonderful!! It was furnished really nice, everything you could possibly need is there including total R & R which is something I think we are all looking for in a place like this. The cabins are very clean and you know that they are taken care of with love and really want the people there to feel at home. Exactly what you would expect and more when you think of going into the woods to a cabin!! I will definitely go back time and time again to experience this wonderful place in the mountains near Hanging Rock. The owners are helpful in answering any questions you may have about local activities, food, etc. and real down to earth people. That means a whole lot because you get welcomed with smiling faces that are real!! Thanks for a great time and I will be going back there time and time again. Remember if you start a outside fire be smart and keep it in the rock area designated...always putting it out before you go to bed!! Oh, and the beds sleep so good; nice, real nice!! I would defintitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. Fish or canoe, kayak the Dan River, hike Hanging Rock State Park, zipline and the Danbury Diner has good home cooked food!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: thanks!! We loved having you and look forward to your return!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1998
About the owner: As a native North Carolinian, I have watch suburbia swallow up all the farms and forests around my home in Greensboro, NC. It has taken us 14 years to put together our 1,000 acres of Stokes County land including 5 miles of Riverfront to manage as a Wilderness Preserve. We intend for future generations to enjoy this natural wonderland. It is has been, and continues to be, a joyous endeavor.
Why the Owner Chose Danbury:
This piece of NC history, surrounded by State Park and the gorgeous Dan River is unusual in its many rocky out croppings, streams, springs, bluffs, and meadows. It is a stunning piece of land filled with native wildlife. always a pleasure to behold.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
While the main lodge is situated on a high point where the views are far reaching, the cabins are tucked away in woodland settings so are private and secluded. Yet they close enough to the main Lodge to walk. We are so close to the state park, and the many outdoor recreational opportunities in Stokes County. It is indeed a unique property.
