Imagine waking up to the beach sunrise every morning in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach. Stay with us, and see the ocean from every room in the house! This beautiful and spacious, over 5,600 square foot home is directly on the beach. Walk out the back door and onto the beach in seconds! This is the perfect escape for families. Ideally situated between the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club and The Lodge - only a few minute walk. Walk to tennis, golf and the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. There are 100 holes of golf and a professional tennis center within 3 miles of the house, including the TPC, ATP, Sawgrass, Marsh Landing, and Pablo Creek! Also, an easy 10 minute drive to the Mayo Clinic.
Each of the six bedrooms has it's own full bathroom. The upstairs and downstairs master bedrooms have a king bed and a private porch, and the upstairs master bathroom includes shower, walk-in closet, and double vanity with dressing table. The downstairs master bedroom and den can be turned into a two-bedroom suite, and downstairs master bathroom has jacuzzi tub, separate shower, walk-in closet, double vanity with dressing table and private courtyard with outdoor hot/cold shower. A two-story living room has floor-to-ceiling windows for tons of natural light and three sets of french doors to bring in the ocean breeze. The kitchen has two dishwashers, two refrigerators, oven, microwave/convection oven and everything you need for great, healthy meals. To enjoy the meals, choose between the breakfast area, full dining area (with seating for 10 plus 4 at a smaller table) and outside table and chairs.
A large back patio is the ideal place to sit and listen to the ocean anytime day or night. One of our favorite activities is combing the beach for seashells and sharks teeth. You also have access to beach towels, chairs, toys and boogie boards. Everything you need to enjoy the perfect beach.

This house is right on the ocean. There are plenty of beds, we had 12 golfers and a driver. Big kitchen and living room to congregate. All the essentials are at the house. We had no problems at all.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had an amazing week in Pontevedra. The house is beautiful. We where 6 adults and 6 children, the bedrooms are arranged in a way that everyone had there privacy, and yet, we where able to spend lots of time together in the fabulous kitchen, the living room and the terrace with views and sounds of the ocean. All the appliances worked perfectly well, and instructions where very clear. The owners, so sweet! Thank you very much for letting us stay at your house. I totally recommend this house.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our large and extended family found this rental property to meet all of our expectations and needs for our visit to the area. There is easy access to the highway, and it's a direct ride to the airport as well as St Augustine and other points south if you're interested in local travel. Shopping and restaurants are conveniently located if that's important to you, but once you purchase your food there's no need to leave the property for anything if you just want to kick back and relax. The kitchen is well appointed, with ample storage and seating. There are many TVs; games; toys, chairs and towels for beach play; and comfortable lounge chairs on the back porch if you don't have the energy to walk the few steps to the beach. Lots of privacy was available with the many bedrooms, bathrooms, balconies and porches, which can make a big difference when you have a full house. The photos and descriptions were accurate, and if anything, the property was more inviting and comfortable than some of the photos which had a formal feel. We encountered a few small maintenance issues (not a surprise for a home right on the water that isn't always occupied) which in no way impacted on the quality of our visit, and the owner was very responsive. Great place for a large family, or for multiple families, and the two 2 year olds in our group had a great time. The only reason we didn't recommend for people with disabilities is that there is only one bedroom on the ground floor, but that shouldn't present a problem in most situations. If you're not sure, call the owner and chat with her and she'll do a great job answering all of your questions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind review! We sincerely appreciate your feedback! As you said, the one downfall being so close to the ocean is that the salt air is torture on a house. It's a constant battle to keep everything working great (as unfortunately this family found out with the ice maker!) I am happy to say we had a brand new one installed just this week! I am also very glad your review mentioned wheel chair access for disabled persons. Our house has a downstair master suite with a walk-in shower and a bed facing a full wall of windows with french doors that opens up to the back porch and directly overlooks the ocean. This suite was especially designed for my own grandmother who was in a wheel chair, and because of this my parents had wheel chair ramps built for the house so that getting in and out of the house is easy for your family. We are happy to set these up prior to any rental! The kitchen, the living room, and family room/den are also on the bottom floor. Also, through our rental, we offer temporary memberships to the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club! It provides our renters with access to the PV Inn & Club and the Lodge, including admission to the fitness center. Our house is perfectly located for this, being situated almost exactly half way between the PV Inn & Club (~0.5 mi) (directly across the street from the 3rd hole of their ocean golf course!) and the Lodge. Our family has been members for almost 80 years, and it is the perfect place for families to play by the pool, as well as has a handicap friendly adult pool to soak in as well! Our team really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home for our team meeting. At the time, our Director was in Jacksonville for 6 weeks for treatment for cancer (Proton Therapy Center) so we joined him there for a team retreat. Your home was perfect – large enough to accommodate our group and give us the privacy we needed. I loved the fact that every bedroom had its own bathroom. And of course, the location was beautiful – perfect for an early morning walk on the beach. We met around your dining room table for our meetings. Thanks so much to the owners of this home. You are the best!!! We rented this house 2 weeks before our Dad passed away and our time could not have been better spent. If someone wanted solitude the house is big enough that you can do that but if people want to gather together there are enough gathering areas to watch tv together or talk, play games etc. We absolutely loved the huge kitchen with plenty of seating for family meals or for socializing as meals were being prepared,etc. the beach was right out our back door if we wanted to play in the water or go for a long walk. For people that like quiet walks you go south and for people that like a busier beach you go north. The house is not in a busy area but the grocery store, restaurants, shopping, night and day life is within 5-10 minutes outside of the neighborhood for those that like more action. The owners are just wonderful, when they realized that we had a wheelchair they actually set ramps up for us from the garage into the house. My brother and other family members enjoyed spending time on the ocean kayaking while my Dad and I enjoyed watching them kayak, straight from my Dad's bedroom. Beautiful scenery. Thanks to this family for great memories and we will be back soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent an outstanding week in this home. The home was just as advertised: very well-maintained, conveniently located, and spacious--our rather large group of 8 adults, 2 small children and several pets was more than comfortably accommodated. We never felt crowded--the house was large enough to allow for quiet reading or relaxing away from housemates, which I found invaluable. My two favorite features of the home were the natural sunlight, which floods into nearly every room, and the ocean views, which you can catch from any bed in the house, the living room sofa, the kitchen stools, the dining room table...you get the point. A few steps out the back door and you're on a secluded stretch of Ponte Vedra beach, with a truly stunning view of the Atlantic. It felt like we'd rented our own section of private beach along with the house. During the week the kids were lucky enough to see dolphins and a whale shark a few yards offshore, and even a pair of bald eagles that had nested on the home's roof! A truly fabulous time. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My parents built this house the year I was born. It has been the location of every precious family memory, including my very own wedding. We love this house. It is part of our family, and it shows it the way we care for it. Ponte Vedra beaches are quiet, white sands littered with sharks teeth--little treasures for little ones to find! This house is truly a glimpse of heaven here on earth.
