Comfortable Adirondack cabin/camp on Sherman Lake; exit 24 of Rt 87, 'The Northway'. Look forward to relaxing on the large deck on the lake and watching the sunset over the mountains.
On arrival day you will find a welcome basket with a snack and first morning breakfast.
There are three bedrooms; one downstairs connecting to the bathroom and two upstairs overlooking the lake. All bedrooms have double beds; blankets, pillows, pillow covers and mattress pads are provided. Renters are to bring their own linens and towels. The loft is an optional sleeping area with an air mattress.
There is 1 bath with shower. Don't forget to bring personal items: shampoo etc.
The living room and dining area overlook the lake.
A fully equipped kitchen includes - electric range, refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, toaster, waffle maker, pots and pans and all utensils. Well water is pure and delicious to drink.
Inside you will find a woodstove; firewood is provided. Outdoors are a wood- and/or charcoal grill/fireplace and gas grill. There is one very large deck with a picnic table and a patio table with umbrella; plenty of deck chairs, and another smaller deck. Both decks overlook the lake.
A new aluminum dock was installed in 2010 and there are 2 kayaks, one canoe and a rowboat with oars and paddles provided as well as life jackets.
The cabin is cleaned prior to your arrival. No smoking inside or out. Pets are negotiable.
This is a 3-season camp. There is no access in the months of November, December, January, February, March or April.

I rented this camp with seven friends in July 2012 and we had a great experience. Four of us were coming from New York City and four from Boston, the camp is about 4 hours from each. The house is right on the water and relatively isolated from its neighbors. It is on the east side of the lake so we were able to enjoy amazing sunsets looking across the lake. The outdoor set-up is ideal with a giant deck, long dock, fire pit (that can be used as a grill) and gas grill. We enjoyed going out on the canoe and row boat provided by the owners. While the bedrooms are relatively small, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms stayed a good temperature. The camp is close enough to the town in Lake George and Saratoga Springs so it is easy enough to go out for a dinner or to the races if you want a break from nature. The owners were very responsive and helpful.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We stayed at the camp with my daughter and her friends at the end of June and had a wonderful time. The lake is beautiful and peaceful; we spent our days swimming and kayaking and swimming some more. The house was clean, cozy and simple--exactly what you'd want in a camp--and has a great view of the lake through the living room window. The village of Lake George is nearby and we enjoyed one afternoon wandering around there. It was a perfect week for all of us and we will definitely return. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
