3 Bedroom one bath, Ocean view steps to beach.. Pine floors. Dining area, Living room and office. Marble Bathroom, Granite Kitchen, Stainless steel appliances. Walking distance to (1/2 block) to Santa Monica Pier. Next door to the Loews Hotel. Light bright airy apartment. My family loves the property so when I transferred to Chicago for work we decided to keep the property and rent it. 10 day minimum stay prefered, but we are willing to work with you. We stayed in this apartment as a family of four with 2 teenage girls. The location was excellent as it was only a short walking distance to the beach, Santa Monica Pier, Downtown Santa Monica & 3rd Street Promenade. Parking was a little inconvenient as it was not on premises, but located in a nearby off-street open air public car lot, with a permit supplied. Access to the car park was via the front alleyway, which required the negotiation of a steep flight of stairs. There is a private alleyway at the rear of the apartment block, which is accessible by car, that could be used (only temporarily) to unload luggage. You would then need to negotiate a narrow pathway beside of the apartment block to the front door. We found this process a bit inconvenient as we had a number of large suitcases to carry. The apartment has a modern kitchen and is sparsely furnished with only a 2 seated couch & one armchair in the lounge. The dining area consisted of a heavy wrought iron table and chairs, which were a little uncomfortable and would probably be better suited as outdoor furniture. The upstairs bedroom was not practical as there were no window coverings for privacy. Our teenage girls ended up sharing a double bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms. There is no air conditioning apart from a ceiling fan, although there are plenty of large windows to open and let the cool see breeze in. The shower ran a little hot & cold, which was a bit annoying. Apart from the above minor issues we did find the apartment to be a very modern, bright and airy property. We could not fault the location, which seemed to override the above shortcomings, however overall, we probably felt it didn’t quite meet with our expectations. With a little more attention to the above details, this property certainly has a 5 star potential.
