  This house is gorgeous! I spent a weekend here with a group of friends enjoying the deck, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and movie room. This is the perfect place for a fun, relaxing upstate weekend. The house is very comfortable and clean with lots of space for a large group. My friends were all very impressed with the house and we all agreed it looks even better in person then in pictures. I would love to rent this home again!

  I was lucky enough to rent this house for a special weekend with some friends. We were welcomed by a fire in the furnace and a nice warm house. The house was fantastic! The pictures don't do it justice. There were plenty of rooms, all with very cute decor. The house was very clean. It was located very close to the small town of Redhook and there was also a grocery store very close. The movie room was awesome for entertainment anytime of the day. The kitchen and family room are very open making eating a preparing meals easy and enjoyable. And the outdoor amenities (pool, hot tub) were a great treat!! I would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away.

  We spent the weekend here with our close friends and found ourselves in a version of upstate paradise! From the second we walked in the door, the warm fire was blaring and the house was in impeccable condition. We lounged in front of the fire on ove-rsized cushy, leather couches and recliners, ate homemade dinners at the long dining room table and relaxed in the hot-tub under the stars while the snowy expanse of lawn sparkled under the moonlight. Everything about the house caters to calming experience and a really good time. Not only were we sad to leave, but we are already asking, When Can We Come Back??

  I definitely recommend staying at this lovely home. The decor is Hawaiian-shabby chic and in really good taste (we especially loved all the funky dishes, the vintage beds, and the big wooden dining table). The kitchen is huge and is great for big dinner parties and cooking. We loved the big outdoor deck and fire pit (perfect for making s'mores!). We had one toddler with us and he loved the backyard and play area. The house felt spacious and light and was a short drive away from cute towns like Hudson and Red Hook. The house is somewhat close to neighboring houses, so I wouldn't recommend it if you want to be very remote, but for our group of friends/family it was perfect!

  This house was the perfect place for a weekend away with girlfriends. It was beautiful and charming, yet still cozy and inviting. There was plenty of room for all 8 of us and the three showers were a huge perk! The large dining room table allowed us all to sit down to dinner together and the living room had more than enough space for us to all get to be in the same room. The owners were wonderful and the location of the house was perfect. The beautiful views of the fall foliage from the porch was an added bonus. We all had an absolutely wonderful and very comfortable weekend!

  Honestly the pictures don't do this place justice. My friends and I stayed her for the weekend and just loved every minute of it! We found the home warm and comfortable and just perfect for relaxing and conversation. We can't wait to stay again next year! Thank you Steve and Kristen!

  Family arrived at this house from NYC, Houston and DC to attend a wedding in the area. We couldn't have asked for more. There was every amenity our diverse group of seven could ask for. We used the hot tub a couple of times, and my son even jumped in the pool. We sat on the lovely deck in the back and enjoyed the light and view. The owner was extremely accommodating. He patiently responded to the many questions I had about both about the house (would my 91 yr old mother be able to get around?) and the area, as the wedding festivities took place at several venues. The house was so welcoming I was wishing we had some younger kids to use the backyard jungle gym and all the toys and games. There was a very helpful guide in the house letting us know how to use all the various electronics and machines. There was also an activities guide. We didn't avail ourselves of too many activities in the area as the wedding took up much of our time but we did eat lunch at a great diner not far from the house. This owner seems to have thought of everything a weary traveler might need. I wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone who wants to escape from their city confines, or who is arranging for a weekend with friends or relatives. If I didn't have my own weekend escape outside of DC, I would be going there myself!

  My coworkers and I recently spent time in this wonderful home and would recommend it to anyone considering a rental property in the area. It was bright, spacious, comfortable, and a joy to share with my colleagues, each of whom left feeling much as I did---that the house contributed greatly to the success of our working trip to the area, and that it enabled four very different personalities who had heretofore only known one another as coworkers to leave as so much more than that. An amazing trip, and an amazing house!

  We just came back from a 4-day stay at this house. Found it extremely comfortable and in a great location for exploring that part of the Hudson Valley. The house was spotless--markedly cleaner than any other rental I've ever stayed in. Also the owners' attention to detail was obvious: The sheets were really soft, the towels fluffy, and they had nice hand soaps at every sink. From the outside, the size of the house is deceptive. It's actually quite large. There were 8 of us and we had more than enough room. I agree with one of the other reviewers that this house is great for lounging around in, with its nice kitchen, large deck, and pool. Although we cooked and ate in a lot, there are interesting restaurants a short drive (10-15 mins.) down the road. And we loved that for a small fee, we were able to bring our 2 dogs--in fact, the screen to the deck is actually a curtain, allowing the dogs to go in and out as they pleased (but to remain contained on the deck). In short, we loved the house and would readily stay there again!

  Quiet, cozy, and supper spacious (7 of us lived comfortably for the week). Spent time at the local state park, hiked, kayaked, golfed, and stopped at every roadside farmers market. But mostly we found ourselves just lounging at the house, making use of the 2 grills almost everyday, enjoying the pool, hanging out on the deck, and doing a lot of cooking and eating in a great kitchen. We are already talking about when we can get up here again.
