Clermont house description
Located on an idyllic country road, our house offers the perfect retreat for your getaway. Whether you are on vacation, work, a little of both, or visiting friends or family, we have all the amenities to make your time relaxing and enjoyable. Whether it's watching your favorite movie in our theatre room, lounging in the pool, soaking in the hot tub, enjoying a drink on the deck or sitting around the fire, you can truly escape here in our Hudson Valley home.
Our location and setup here is perfect for one family or sharing the space with another family or couple.
The main floor has a master bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom. A sliding glass door gives you private access to the deck. The second bedroom has twin beds and a third bedroom has a double bed with a second full bath across the hall.
There is a living room with a glass front wood burning stove to enjoy a fire, eating area and kitchen all in an open floor plan. There is a separate laundry room/mud room off the kitchen. All of our floors are reclaimed yellow pine and tile in the bathrooms and mudroom.
Downstairs, which is a finished basement, has a bedroom with a queen size bed and full bathroom, sitting room with sliding glass doors that lead to the outside, play room for children and the theatre room with Dolby and an 11 ft. screen is also located downstairs.
All bedrooms have linens and down comforters.
Our kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs, blender, toaster,
crockpot, pots, pans, to mention a few. Has been recently upgraded to marble counters and a granite island and all stainless steel appliances.
The deck spans the length of the house in which you have private access to the hot tub, the firepit and the pool. There's plenty of room to sit around the fire, roast marshmallows, lounge by the pool or relax under the wusteria covered arbor.
We minutes from Bard college, so this is a perfect home for parents coming to visit their kids in college. We are near Tanglewood, Vanderbilt and Mills Mansion - all of which offer wonderful concerts all summer. We are minutes from Historic Rhinebeck or Hudson, both boasting many antique curios and great eateries. We are also within minutes of many wedding locales like Apple Barn Farm and Calendar House so enjoy a late night out and be only minutes from your stay. We are just shy of an hour from Jiminy Peak, Hunter Mountain, Catamount and Belleyare ski resorts favoring skiing and snowboarding in the winter and the mountain slide and rollercoaster in the summer. Try out your favorite vintage at the local wineries or stop in to pick some fresh berries at the Pick-Your-Own Greig farms.
We are also close to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds which holds events throughout the year, including one of the largest and oldest Fairs in the state, the Dutchess County Fair, held at the end of August.
So much to do and see or just relax and enjoy what our house has to offer!

We stayed at this lovely house again...and it was even better than before (if possible!) The house is always immaculate and cozy. The fire was glowing when we walked in and from the second we arrived to the second we left we felt relaxed and at ease. We watched a movie in the home theater and spend some time under the stars in the hot tub. The house is filled with everything you will ever need to have a calm, blissful getaway upstate. Already planning our next visit!

"A True Getaway"

A perfect vacation house. I've done a fair share of traveling around the world. I have been to amazing place's... But sometimes you need a quiet, peaceful place that makes you feel like you are truly getting away from society. The quiet country getaway is truly the spot for that. The Vintage style it has reminds you like you are going back in time. Brings you back to a modern 60's house. The art deco of the place makes you feel like you are in a warm, comfy place you never want to leave. Not to mention the theater they have in the basement makes you feel like you are hanging out in Hollywood for the opening of Casablanca. The outside has a great vibe to it... Brings you back to a modern time and makes you feel like you are hanging out in a vacation home of the set of Universals Studio in California. So we all like traveling exploring new places, but sometimes you need a getaway and this place is truly the spot for you if you have a family or not. I strongly recommend it;)

I could not have asked for a better experience. The home owners were very friendly (via email), helpful and responsive. The pictures definitely don't do the house proper justice. I believe others that have stayed here have said the same thing and it's true. The house is stocked with everything you might need and then some. I only regret we didn't have more time to stay and take advantage of all the amenities the house has to offer. Hot tub, kitchen, grill, fire pit, screening room, awesome vaulted ceilings and beams, beautiful linens on the beds, SUPER comfortable beds, spacious, airy, clean and delightful. I also want to add that my experience with VRBO had been awful until I found these home owners. They were a delight to work with and I cannot say the same for most of the other home owners I contacted.

My family was so comfortable here. The subtle styling referencing the peaceful life of Hawaii and other nostalgic touches bring me back to the patina of era now passed. The owners are the most wonderful people. Scenic wooded area outback, and the fire-pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows. My family looks forward to our next stay!!

This is our second time staying here and it's just perfect! We went antiquing in Hudson and Rhinebeck and then soaked in the hot tub at night. The kids love the theater downstairs and my wife loves the kitchen. Just a great weekend away from everything and we'll definitely be back again next year!

The best house rental we have ever done!!
The best house rental we have ever done!!
We stayed at the house this summer and were more than happy with our experience. The pictures do not do it justice. Our 2 young children said that it was the best summer of their lives. Everything is so clean, roomy and well thought out. We had a blast at the pool, cooked s'mores on the deck, sat in the hot tub and watched movies in the cool "drive-in" style theater. It is located on a quiet street near farms, yet it's close enough to enjoy everything in the area. Best of all, dealing with the owners was a delight! We would not hesitate to recommend this rental.

Memorial Day Family Getaway
Memorial Day Family Getaway
My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at this property during Memorial Day Weekend. Unfortunately, the weather was awful but we found plenty of fun things to do in the area and inside the house together. We enjoyed the large kitchen and cooking meals together and also viewing movies in the theater room in the basement. We spent some time exploring the neighboring towns, especially Rhinebeck, visited several farmer's markets, went to the local movie theater, etc. On the last day there, the sun came out and we enjoyed the hot tub and the grounds. Lastly, Kristin was incredibly attentive to every inquiry we made before and during our stay. We hope to go back sometime in the near future.

Perfect weekend getaway
Perfect weekend getaway
This house is gorgeous! I spent a weekend here with a group of friends enjoying the deck, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and movie room. This is the perfect place for a fun, relaxing upstate weekend. The house is very comfortable and clean with lots of space for a large group. My friends were all very impressed with the house and we all agreed it looks even better in person then in pictures. I would love to rent this home again!

I was lucky enough to rent this house for a special weekend with some friends. We were welcomed by a fire in the furnace and a nice warm house. The house was fantastic! The pictures don't do it justice. There were plenty of rooms, all with very cute decor. The house was very clean. It was located very close to the small town of Redhook and there was also a grocery store very close. The movie room was awesome for entertainment anytime of the day. The kitchen and family room are very open making eating a preparing meals easy and enjoyable. And the outdoor amenities (pool, hot tub) were a great treat!! I would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away.
