Okay, friends: We're coming forward and doing our part to stimulate the economy! Fact is, you can't afford NOT to go to the beach! : ) We're offering three-year old winter, yes winter rates all autumn long, so check your calendar and plan for an affordable get-away to relax, enjoy the beach, and leave your worries at home.

Do you long for quiet walks on an uncrowded beach, for a get-away where you can relax and put your feet in the sand? If so, then beautiful Harbor Island is right for you! Harbor Island, a gated community, is located on the coast between Charleston and Savannah, 14 miles from historic Beaufort. The island has 2-1/2 miles of uninterrupted white sand beach.

This island paradise is for anyone who enjoys natural beauty! Even in peak season, the island and beach are uncrowded. Wildlife is abundant, including sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs and Pelicans congregating by the dozen at Pelican Point.

Our ground-floor condo has easy access to the beach and pool from both the front and back doors. The unit sleeps four with a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized sleeper sofa.

From the private deck off the living room, one has a view of the ocean, palm trees, dunes, and a swimming pool, lawn, and other villas. A boardwalk leads from the deck directly to the beach--a 60-second walk over untouched dunes.

Hunting Island State Park (next island) is home to abundant wildlife, nature trails, and the only lighthouse in S.C. open to the public.

In the mood for some sightseeing and shopping? There's plenty to do nearby. Historic Beaufort is a 20-minute drive, and Savannah and Charleston are both just an hour's drive.

Harbor Island is an unspoiled island paradise, a perfect vacation place for the whole family where one can leave the crowds behind and relax comfortably in a beautiful natural setting. We look forward to sharing our lovely villa and the magic of Harbor Island with you.

OFF-SEASON MONTHLY RENTALS: Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb: monthly rental periods available for the ridiculously low rate of $950 per month!

The condo association requires the purchase of a $40 per week gate pass per vehicle. For three nights or less, the cost is $30 per vehicle.

  • Dear Gloria, We did indeend have a wonderful time at your Harbor Island condo. We so appreciated the "calmness" of the whole complex. I am sure there are times of year when it is much busier, but the remoteness of Harbor Island, and Hunting Island really made them a delight to explore. We also enjoyed a day going up to Edisto Beach, and some time in the town of Beufort as well. We particularly enjoyed visiting Penn Center and learning more of the Gullah traditions. Everything was so much more peaceful and restful than the craziness of Hilton Head. I'm hoping that sometime in the next year I can get5 my husband to take a trip that direction again. The only disappointment was that it was a bit on the cool side as far as swimming was concerned. But we did enjoy walking along the beach at sunset. you were so helpful to us doing things on such short notice that I will indeed remember your kindness, and contact you first when the time comes that we head back down that direction. Thanks again.

It was such a relaxing experience for our family to enjoy the peace of the ocean and seeing our son for the first time in months. Everything about Harbor Island and your condo was such a relaxing and rewarding experience. I would highly recommend anyone traveling to Parris Island to contact Gloria she is wonderful and if her condo is not available she has many friends in the area that do have condos. The price is affordable and the beach and surrounding area is a wonderful place to remeber with your new Marine and family. Parris Island is only about 20 min drive and easy travel from the condo.     Hello Gloria, first let me apologize for not writing sooner. Sometimes things get out of control, while you away. That's what has happened here. Anyway, things were super. All the months leading up to vacation, your expectations grow. Praying that you did the right planning, lodging, etc... Sometimes even stressful. Family members coming from out of state. Well, your condo was far better, than any of us could of asked for. The people at Harbor Island were the nicest staff members. Friendly, and very helpful in getting around, since the bridge accident. Everything, was what your web site stated. The pool area, the boardwalk, and the beach was wonderful. The best time is in the morning, while walking the beaches. There is an entirely new world (life) on the beach. To see the crabs, birds, and trawlers is quite an experience. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home, on the beach. Now when we say, lets go to the beach, or make any reference to the beach, (It won't mean Myrtle) we have a special place in our memories, and our hearts. Thank you again. In case someone wants to use a charter: Cast Away Charters, Capt. Tim Deckard 843-322-1043 (h) 843-321-1768 (C) rates are very reasonable, and did what ever it took for us to bring home fish. We even caught a 54 pound String Ray. You just never know what we get into. We even had my 6 year old grandson with us. He was entertained with some extra chores on the boat. Shrimp Shack is the place to be for seafood. Good stuff. Steamers is excellent, (a little pricey, frogmore stew is to die for)..haha You have my permission to use any of this e-mail for your guest book comments.   • Dear Gloria and John, We can not thank you enough for letting us rent your beautiful condo for our trip to SC for our son graduation from Parris Island! We stayed at E-106 from Nov. 29, 2006 to Dec. 2, 2006. Our son's graduation was on Dec. 1st. Harbor Island is about a 20 minute drive to Parris Island. E-106 is VERY clean, and everything you need is right there at your finger tips! We loved walking the beach, and after graduation our son's friends were able to come and relax and catch up on being apart for 3 months. It was so nice to have a comfy place to relax in after long days walking around. Gloria is wonderful to work with. We highly recommend staying here!   • Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your condo. It is beautiful, well taken care of, stocked with the essentials and has easy access to the beach and multiple pools. My husand and I and our two kids (13 & 7) spent the week relaxing, eating out and shopping. After an extremly busy first part of the year, it was so nice to come to a condo that was set up for anything (cooking, sleeping, watching movies or reading). Our family went to the drive-in while we were down there...that was an experience. I recommend it, since it only costs $10.00 for two adults and two children. But remember to bring your OFF spray. We also ate at some wonderful restaurants...Barbara Jeans was our families favorite, then the Shrimp Shack and The Upper Crust. All of them were wonderful. Thank you again for allowing us to stay and we will be back! The Sissom Family
