Charming and affordable describes TLC (The Little Cabin). Relax at this little haven nestled in the trees offering peace and quiet. Enjoy nature at its best as you sit on the covered front porch and rock away your troubles. One guest said they identified about 20 different birds plus other wildlife.

The cabin is in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you enjoy a feeling of being far away, you have the luxury of being close to so many great experiences...Historic Asheville, Historic Hendersonville, The Biltmore House and Blue Ridge Parkway are only 15 minutes away. Chimney Rock, Black Mountain, Mt. Mitchell, Wolf Laurel Ski Resort, and Cherokee are also close by. Folk Art Center, Shindig on the Green, street dances and many craft fairs are ongoing most all the time.

Come and enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere of TLC, a little oasis we tried to create for our guests. One stay at TLC and you're hooked. Others just keep coming back. You will too!

My wife and I spent a couple nights during what we call "dogwood winter" (early spring) to re-acquaint ourselves with the Asheville area. We made visits to the antique shops on Sweeten Creek Road (25A), checked out the Antique Car Museum at the Grove Park Inn, and grabbed a bite at Tupelo Honey. Then day two we strolled around the NC Arboretum gardens and took a good long leg-stretching hike on a couple woodland trails. Both nights at the TLC cabin, we rested well, and woke up refreshed. The cabin is just about as small as two people could share. It is very well equipped with every amenity you need. Roberta is a wonderful hostess (and was the inspiration for the trip to NC Arboretum). She made sure we were comfortable, and then let us be. It was also a nice touch to be able to spruce up the cabin, and not have to pay a (needless) cleaning fee after a two night stay. We look forward to a return sometime soon, and some relaxing time on the porch (which we didn't this time around because of the mid-30's morning weather).

You needn't look any further for a wonderful place to stay in the Asheville area. Out of the way, but close to everything! The property is very clean and is exactly like the photos you see here. All the comforts of home. Make your reservations now. You will not regret it!

You have named the cabin exactly the same it is "Tiny Little Cabin" but missed the word "Cute" :-). Me and my hubby wanted a break from work and have a relaxed trip. This cabin was so beautifully constructed with having even the minute item. We are very happy that we chose this cabin among much more available online. Our 3 day Stay went so fast and now I feel sad for vacating this sweetest place tomorrow. I loved the paintings you have here. Next time if we are in asheville, we will be to this TLC, our favourite. :-) . Thanks for providing such a heavenly place for us. - Srividya sekar.

We stayed 4 days at this charming cabin and couldn't have been happier. As described - it is small - but with that in mind - it has everything you could want. We sat outside in the rocking chairs every evening and enjoyed the quiet. It was extremely well stocked with provisions - we did not have to buy dish soap, etc., as you do with some rentals. It is so close to everything but seems so far away from it all. The Biltmore (not to be missed) is just up the road. There is a grocery store close and the owners even provided a grocery card to take advantage of the savings. We picked apples in Hendersonville (again not too far) and enjoyed downtown Asheville quite a bit. This is a perfect cabin in a great neighborhood and we will definitely be back. Thanks for creating a quiet stress-free getaway!

My husband and I traveled from the busy city of Jacksonville, FL to the quiet of Arden, NC. We immediately begin to feel the tension subside, as we drove through the winding mountains and found ourselves in front of this adorable cabin. It reminded me of a manly doll house, with everything you could possibly need included. It was immaculate, inviting and comfortable. We slept fitfully in the Queen sized bed with the windows open at night. People up there don't even lock their doors - it's astounding. My favorite spot, of course, was the deck on the back where I could sit and listen to soft instrumental music (CD in cabin), rocking in a rocking chair, drinking coffee, listening also to the birds sing. In the evening, we enjoyed the lightning bugs - I don't believe I've ever seen them in Jacksonville. The flowers are in bloom and the entire neighborhood was quiet, picturesque and beautiful. We're so close to making NC our permanent home! Roberta, you're the best!!! We enjoyed White Water Rafting on the French Broad River and the Biltmore Mansion was less than 10 minutes away!

My wife and I stayed at TLC for only one night but we had a great stay. I must say Roberta was extra helpful as she helped me track down my deposit. It was totally my fault (gave her a check with an old address). She even went as far as to send me a copy of the money order so I could follow up. All worked out and I got my deposit. Needless to say, I recommend any couple stay there.

The perfect place to stay while exploring the Asheville area. A hike up to the top of the road was the perfect activity after a home cooked meal in this ADORABLE, CLEAN AND PERFECT little cabin. Thank you so much!

Owner response: Glad you enjoyed your stay at TLC and also most pleased that we have never had a bad review come through after folks have visited. It is a great little place to chill out and do as little or as much as you like while here. Thanks for your comment and hope you get a chance to visit again. Roberta

I spent 13 days at TLC in April 2011. Its close to Asheville and there is plenty to do nearby. The quiet was broken only by the songs of many birds and the delightful sound of rain on the roof. The fragrance of wild azaleas and the view from the porch are amazing. The charming cabin is lovingly cared for and well maintained. It looks as good as the pictures, even better. I highly recommend this property.

                  Owner info

                  Year Purchased: 2002

About the owner: Ben is a master craftsman and you will see this when you visit the cabin...we completed the cabin in 2002 for a vacation rental. We actually live on the other end of the property but wanted to offer a little bit of 'paradise' to others so they could experience the peace and quiet and get away from the rat race and all the distractions. I (Roberta) have lived in our house since 1976. After selling real estate for 25 years, I never found a place I would rather live.....that should tell you a lot about the area.

                  Why the Owner Chose Asheville:
So others could have an 'out of this world experience' in a little tree house.
