  These three villas have been sensibly designed with the holiday guest in mind, they are in a great location, and are equipped to a premium standard of quality. Like children, they are all different, but it is difficult to have a favourite!. I took a trip of 14 business colleagues and associates to visit Crete in April 2013, as a thank you for their business, and to be honest only SK Place fitted the bill in terms of accomodating a party of this size. We rented all three, and had a brilliant time. My guests lived like Millionaires, and after 4 days you could not wipe the smiles off their faces. The views are mesmorising. The location is perfect. being just a few hundred yards from the village, but far enough out not to be disturbed. Katorina the owner is completely charming, and Lillie the housekeeper is a Gem. Not cheap, - but I would highly recommend if you want the best.

  We don't normally go back to the same place year after year but enjoyed SK Place so much last year that we came back. We enjoyed ourselves even more - the villa is stunning as are all the little extras that make the visitor seem so valued. Heartlily recommend to anyone

  Well.....it"s taken us a few months to agree to share our experiences at the majestic SK Place for fear of introducing this little gem to the world. We (my wife and 2 daughters 3 & 5) spent 10 of the best days we've ever had at this 6 star villa. Every luxury imaginable was catered for by the gorgeous Katerina and her equally amazing family and staff. From 'top class' authentic Greek Taverna food delivered to your door, to daily massages, to planned activities whether boating, fishing, hiking, snorkelling (as required) or simply lazing around reflecting on the year that was, this place is HEAVEN!!!! It's a short walk to the town and amazing beaches, and the sunsets are as good as we've seen. Like many, we've travelled the world, stayed in the best hotels in NYC, London, Rome, Tokyo, Shanghai.....SK Place has it all and more. We'll be back every year to see our friends (the Papadakis family - owners). We miss you!!

  Villa Almyra is an absolutely stunning setting for a relaxing vacation in the brilliant Crete sunshine. This was our second visit there and it will probably not be our last. Everything within the villa and on the grounds is top notch and just a delight to enjoy. Katerina, the owner-manager and host, is so gracious and works to fulfill any extra requests that one might have. The daily maid service is delightful, friendly and efficient. Local restaurants in Almyrida and surrounding villages serve delicious Cretan fare in extremely, even outrageously, generous portions! But beyond all this, we just enjoy being in the culture of Crete itself. The people are friendly, there is history to experience, interesting cities like Chania to explore, great beaches to visit and, of course, the sunshine and the crystal-clear water of the sea to enjoy beyond measure. This really is paradise on earth. Give it a try!

  The villa is located in a quaint village called almerida which is a 45 minutes drive from the chania airport. It was totally worth it. The villas were by the ocean which gave it a heavenly charm because one could get the view of the ocean and the snow capped mountains from the same spot. The villas were equipped with all the best facilities. It was detailed to perfection with an infinity pool over looking the ocean. The views from the villa at sunset was pretty breathtaking. I would definitely visit the place again.

  We stayed in the Villa Anemos for a week in June 2001. This was our first visit to Crete and first villa holiday (now our kids are older a pool seemed like a relaxing proposition for everyone!). The villas looked amazing from the website and we weren't disappointed when we arrived...the views really are breathtaking. Katerina gave us a warm welcome and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Almyrida really is 5 minutes walk away and the beaches are sandy with clear shallow water...ideal for kids. Great base to explore the island too. Such a relaxing week..and that view is etched on my brain now. Can't recommend it enough and will definitely return. If you want to get away from it all..then this is the perfect place.

  It's even better than the pictures on the website! In fact the best ever modern villa I've stayed in. This is a labour of love by the owners, elegant and spacious. Attention to every detail makes it the perfect place to relax, so much so that we spent almost every evening in. You would think this was a villa attached to a grand resort hotel, as it has everything you would expect of that including daily cleaning (very discrete and friendly maids) and even room service (delivered from a good local restaurant); plus every facility to cook and eat in if you prefer (as we did most days once we had found the shops with good local produce). Yet SK only has 3 villas, cleverly located to provide privacy. Very elegant rooms, and in our villa, Anemos, a beautiful infinity pool with wonderful sunset views. All this would be enough but there are also amazing views over the sea, north to the Chania peninsula and south to the high mountains in central Crete, with the town in the middle distance (a short walk to the tavernas and restaurants there). Excellent guidance provided in the villa on where to go, where to buy food and wine and so on. And every electronic mod con you can imagine. It's a fairly easy drive from Chania airport and there are loads of things to do and see in the vicinity - but I think you'll just prefer to relax around the pool and make good use of this wonderful place.

  SK Place is a dream come true. The views are breathtaking, the service is impeccable, the houses are well designed, comfortable and beautiful... From the outdoor seating areas to the luxurious rooms, bathrooms and kitchen, it is a dream vacation. The houses are located a short walk from the beach and restaurants.. You can walk to everything.. and the back drop is the beautiful Mediterranean sea! We went with two other families with small children and we were treated very well by the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our children were comfortable and happy... We can't wait to go back!

  Voici le lieu idéal pour des vacances inoubliables. Villa superbe, confortable, avec une vue magnifique sur la baie et sur les montagnes blanches. La piscine, face à la mer, est très agréable. Katerina, la propriétaire, est toujours aux petits soins pour répondre à vos demandes. Le personnel de service et d'entretien est très aimable et discret. Même en cherchant bien, on ne trouve aucune critique à faire. L'année dernière, nous y sommes restés 10 jours merveilleux. Nous avions remarqué qu'il manquait un micro-ondes. Cette année, le micro-ondes était installé. Nous sommes retés 3 semaines cette année et cela a encore été 3 semaines de bonheur. C'est vraiment "l'adresse" à Almyrida pour passer d'excellentes vacances. En plus, La Chanée n'est qu'à 25 Km et Rethymon à 45 Km. A recommander sans aucune réserve.

  we had a holiday which will be hard to beat at the villa almyra. i have never ever had such a spectacular bath with views to die for! service, beds all were marvelpos ,especially the pillows! i travel EVERYWHERE with my Hungarian duck down pillow and for the first time EVER it was not needed. if I were to be horribly perdantic the only down point would be to have a few more channels on tv. I am however a member of tv anonymous! Just go and you will love it.

  When my friends and I saw the photos, we didn't believe such a place could be real. Well, it is! We spent 10 days in the beautiful, luxurious Villa Anemos, being pampered as never before. Two smiling maids showed up every day to make this immaculate home even more spotless. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the pool really does look out on infinity, or at least the bay. Delivery of delicious Greek hot meals or a taxi required the push of a telephone button. The village of Almyrida was a 5 minute walk away, but we still felt we had the islond to ourselves due to the location and security. We might have ventured out more, but why travel around in uncomfortable heat when the superbly air-conditioned villa had everything?

  Anemos est vraiment une villa 5 étoiles tant pour sa beauté, sa localisation, la vue spectaculaire qu'elle nous offre, son confort incroyable, pour un service efficace et aussi pour l'accueil chaleureux ds proprios Katarina et Pavlos. Grâce à cet endroit paradisiaque, nous avons vécu ma famille (5 adultes), notre toute petite fille (8 mois), et moi-même une semaine absolument inoubliable. Espérons pouvoir y retourner Louise Banville Canada

  In our experience, as villas go, this is the best and also the most expensive that we have stayed in. Very comfortable and most importantly very clean and well looked after. Gorgeous views and not at all a disappointment from the photographs on the website. The villas are at the top end of the market in this area and the only thing that disappointed us was not the villa itself but the fact that there is nothing much to match it in terms of luxury in the surrounding area in terms of restaurants and buying food.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  We think Crete is a great holiday destination - so much to offer - climate, variety, history, views, food and lots more BUT to stay in Villa Anemos at SK place was a very special experience indeed. This villa is so luxurious, so well designed and equipped and had such a spectacular view we could hardly believe it. The position just above the bay in Almerida offers incredible views especially at sunset. The infinity pool is pure fantasy !! We loved every aspect - furnishings, art, flat screen TVs , amazing bathrooms, really effective aircon , excellent service, secluded and private too. Almerida is a nice little town - we have visited it before and it is now growing into a small resort but it is still not very commercialised - some good eating places literally on the beach along with lovely local cafes. Beach is small, can get quite crowded on Sundays but mostly very pleasant , quite clean and safe to bathe and opportunities for water sports as there is a sailing school. The are a few bars but fairly quiet at night which is our preference. We recommend exploring the area as we found a book called "On the Road in Crete" that had clear directions for some great excursions - that way we find bits of the real Crete, mountain views, old museums and monasteries and some quite special taverners for real local food !! All in all an amazing holiday, but the real thing that set it apart was the fantastic villa itself - they (there are 2 others nearby - individual in design and separate from ours) must be amongst the very best in Crete- or anywhere actually.

  My family and I stayed in Villa Anemos (one of the villas of SKplace) in May 2009. It is one of three villas, but the construction and landscaping has been done in such a way as to maximize the privacy of each. We could not have been more pleased, it was absolutely beautiful inside and out. From the pictures on the owner's website my expectations were already high, but those expectations were exceeded by reality. The owners missed nothing when they constructed and furnished this villa. The quality of the architecture, decor and furnishings was very high. The kitchen is extremely well furnished with all the necessary amenities. The bedrooms are very pretty and comfortable and the bathrooms are gorgeous and are supplied with lovely toiletries. The outdoor area is incredible, it has a lovely pool with sun chaises, a covered seating area with outdoor couches and chairs and a large dining area - all with gorgeous views over the water. I could have sat out there for our entire holiday enjoying the privacy, the beautiful views and, of course, those amazing sunsets. The owners are really wonderful people and their contact person was a very friendly and helpful person. She was available to answer any questions or to make suggestions. Almyrida is an ideal place to base yourselves for a visit to Crete. From there it is very easy to connect to many places of interest in Crete. Almyrida itself has a nice beach, good markets, cafes and great restaurants on the waterfront, all of which are a short easy walk from the villa. One evening we had dinner delivered to the villa from one of the waterfront restaurants. It arrived on large trays with platters of absolutely delicious food and the restaurant sent someone to pick up the platters the next day. Our stay at Villa Anemos was absolutely first-rate and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Crete and is looking for a gorgeous villa with a beautiful pool, wonderful views and a great location.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Anemos Villa. Pavlos and Katerina were great hosts - very helpful. The villa is elegant, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The view is unsurpassed. It was a wonderful week and we highly recommend for others and hope to be back ourselves!

  We would like to express our thanks for what was a very pleasurable stay in Villa Ammos in August 2008, We found the Villa to be of the highest standard and very high quality furnishings. But above all were the breathtaking views from the living area and also the pool area accross Souda Bay. We found many lovely Tavernas in the local town of Almyrida which was just walking distance along the seafront. Our Villa was very well maintained throughout our stay there with cleaning and laundry service on a regular basis. On our arrival there was plenty of useful information about the Island and great places to visit. The Island is a beautiful place to visit and to have such a high class Villa to stay in made this our Dream Holiday and will be looking forward to a return visit soon. Thankyou to the Owners.   Good location, easy access to Chania airport, easy to find (even in the dark!), on the edge of town offering privacy, quiet and tranquil, yet walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. Excellent property. High quality luxury accommodation. Beds comfortable, quality linen, enjoyed steam room facility, spacious living area, lovely pool, choice of outdoor relaxing areas both in the shade and in the sun, beautifully furnished - clean and well-maintained. Owners extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend property to a friend. Liked close proximity to Chania for shopping. Nice local restaurants and taverna, good bakery. Disliked nothing. Need car to explore nearby areas. A wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate - stunning sea views - highly recommended.

  We stayed in one of these superb villa last year and are just about to book again for this summer. As you can see from the picture, there are 3 villas and we stayed in the middle one. The villa is built and furnished to an extremely high standard with stunning bathrooms and a brilliant gym, saunas etc in the basement area. The pool is completely private and as you swim you feel you are on the edge of the sea (which of course you virtually are). The outside has been thoughtfully designed with each villa and pool extremely private. The plants and trees screen each villa totally. The garden has outside furniture and pergolas and great lighting for evening dining over looking the sea. We have not stayed in such a beautifully presented property before and the cleaner came in regularly to top up fresh towels, change beds and make sure everything was first class. The area of Almirida was equally great - its still a quiet place but with enough really good tavernas, local shops, bakery, money machines etc to feel you really dont have to leave the area if you dont want to. However within a half hour drive, you can visit the wonderful Venetian street of Chania town or you can be on the edge of the mountains within the same time. There is so much to see and do on this beautiful island that it is worth hiring a car. However if you choose to stay at the villa and just use the local facilities, you definately won't be disappointed. The description of the property is spot on - in fact the photos on line just can't do it justice - its superb. I would definately recommend this property to a friend as the villa is top quality and the island of Crete very beautiful.

We had such a fantastic time. So relaxing and so romantic. Villa Ammos turned out to be everything that you promised and more! The views are truly sensational and certainly amongst the best we have ever seen. The standard of accommodation was first class and we were most impressed with your ongoing service and attention.We found the location to be ideal for exploring this beautiful area of Crete and the hospitality of the people along the way was a joy to experience.The choice of activities and restaurants was particularly good and surprising for such a small place.We also enjoyed our time in wonderful Chania and the Venetian harbour which has to be one of the most picturesque places we have ever visited.
