I am a first time VRBO user and I was skeptical about using the site. However, I was pleasantly satisfied with this transaction. Last week my wife, a few family/friends and I (totaling 6) stayed at this prime location house. It’s right off the beautiful Pagosa Lake and it’s less than 15 minutes to drive to any restaurant, grocery store, or shop you need in Pagosa Springs. The 3 person boat that comes with renting the house was a great bonus. My wife and I would take the boat out in the evenings and enjoy the comfortable temperature and stunning sunsets. In the backyard, we saw a family of 4 deer on 2 evenings. As for the house, we enjoyed all the comforts of being home. The beds were comfortable; appliances were top of the line; great cable flat screen TV; and we especially enjoyed the free access to the homes wireless signal (since I brought my iPad). After being in Pagosa Springs 3 other times and staying in different accommodations for each visit, this cabin ranks on top. I just hope this cabin is available next year when I come back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I travel pretty regularly and use VRBO as my 'go-to' site for finding houses. This cabin was such a great surprise! They had just finished a very full remodel and the place is amazing. The exterior shots don't do it justice, because the views from everywhere downstairs are breath taking. Sitting out on the deck with a glass of wine in hand each evening...watching the geese, deer, and sunsets over the lake were the highlights of our two weeks in Pagosa. We didn't need to go anywhere. The kitchen is beautiful, furnishings are top notch (they don't feel like cheap rental furnishings), household supplies were perfect. It felt like we went to stay at a family member's house on the lake. Ronnie was very conscientious about what we needed at the house and taking good care of us. Great location too...just 7-8 minutes to the hot springs or 5 minutes to shopping, restaurants or hiking. We'll definitely be back! Thanks Ronnie!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
