This is an immaculately maintained home that has everything you need for an amazing weekend on the McKenzie River. The photographs are accurate and the home is kept neat as a pin. Every detail is taken care of for the discriminating traveler. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the very spacious living room. The house also has an outdoor fire pit for a relaxing evening next to the river. The homes is at a great location for exploring the McKenzie River itself, and it's also reasonably close in to the Eugene/Springfield area. The spot right in front of the house had fishermen all day both days we were there and it appears to be a pretty popular spot. There is also a large lake like area just 1/4 mile down the river if you like to float while you fish. My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend there and it's ideal for a couple, or possibly two, if they don't mind sharing a shower. The kitchen was well equipped, and we cooked all but one of our meals at the house. The owner even included a pound of high-end ground coffee for our use in the coffee maker! The home has an awesome entertainment center with a wall mounted flat screen, plus a tournament grade slate pool table if you get bored. The owner is very reliable and responsive in addition to being nice. You can't go wrong on this one!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My three girlfriends and I rented this property for a 4 day rest from our busy schedules. It was exactly as described. We had a lovely relaxing time sitting by river watching the fisherman and skipping rocks. We even had a fisherman walk by and give us his catch of the day for our dinner!! We enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening and challenging each other in a pool tournament! It is a very clean and comfortable with several sitting areas for reading and watching movies. Thank you Janet for sharing your lovely home with us! We will be back again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We rented the house during the Olympic Trials. We had a great time! The house is far enough from Eugene to be able to get away from it all and enjoy the tranquility, but still close enough for an easy commute. Since we were at the Trials, we didn't get to enjoy the river setting as much as we would have liked. However, the house was very clean and comfortable, especially the kitchen. The coffee maker was top notch. The owners were super easy to work with and we received our security deposit back shortly after we got home. We would definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a place to stay – our ‘girls’ weekend was a total success. We enjoyed your Dream Home! There was plenty of physical activity moving from the upper decks down to the McKenzie River and then back up to keep you in shape after those great appetizers and drinks!!! The Canadian geese, osprey, song birds, ravens, and other waterfowl entertained us when we were outdoors laughing and having a great time by the river, skimming rocks, picking up driftwood, and taking lots of memorable photos of the ‘girls’. The view of the Goodpasture Bridge makes a beautiful photograph and its fun to watch waterfowl flying under it. We enjoyed our beverages out on the deck under the intimate deck lighting until it was time to prepare dinner. Bringing our food for all meals and choosing to eat in rather than dine out gave us more time to share stories and learn what was going on in each of the family lives. There were plenty of river views from every window. All of the kitchen accommodations were great and in working order and very clean. The entertainment center was full of good music to act silly, stomp your feet, and do a little dance. The pool table kept us laughing and enjoying the heck out of ourselves until well after mid-night. I slept as comfortably in the bed there as I do on my own bed at home. Early morning we were up and ready to enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee out on the deck. After breakfast we hiked around the area to enjoy the homes and beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. Back for more deck time until it was time to go – it came too quickly but we have decided to do it again in May!! Maybe we will try doing some fishing, who knows, but we enjoyed your home and lovely spot on the McKenzie River. We’ll do it again! We enjoyed it all!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
