About the owner: Long time residents. Grandparents raised cattle, sheep, and goats in the area. We feel feel fortunate to have raised our children in the beautiful Hill Country. We live just outside Bandera, about 15 minutes away from 10th Street. We love the Texas Hill Country and feel Bandera has some of the friendliest people anywhere. Our children are grown allowing us the time (and energy) to open our vacation home to guests.

Why the Owner Chose Bandera:
We chose this home due to its excellent location, historical charm, big front porch, and large lot. One of the original homes in Bandera (c 1890-1900), it is ideally located for walking the city. Purchased in 2000 we have spent the last decade renovating this home and feel privileged to be a part of its restoration. After numerous requests we have decided to open the home to guests.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Ideally located for walking the city yet on a quieter side street with large porch perfect for relaxing. Favorite activities within 2 blocks of the cottage include: Bandera's historic Main Street, 11th Street Cowboy Bar (live bands/dancing/Wednesday Steak Night), numerous shops & honky tonks, the courthouse, and the Medina River (tubing/kayaking/walking trails). From the cottage you can also walk to Western Trails Antique Mall and the Medina River Park (century old cypress trees, picnic areas, and walking trails). The river is also a favorite of Whitetail deer and songbirds. Some mornings/evenings you may even see a family of deer grazing/resting in the yard of the cottage!
